Will always remember 2012, Isner vs. Federer in Switzerland on clay...Isner WINS!!! Loved it!
I met him a few years back at the US Open, for Kids Day. He was casually practicing on one of the smaller courts. Very approachable and he spent countless minutes signing autographs and taking pictures with every single kid around. Top guy!
Why wouldnt He?
@@mick7922 They don't all do.
I met him at Indian Wells on 2012. At that time it was very easy to meet the players that were walking out to the practice courts. I wouldn't even go see the matches, I would just hang out where the players would walk out to practice or back in the cafeteria, hang out area they had for them. I met almost all the players. My best being Rafael Nadal. But the one who was nicest to everyone was John isner. He treated everyone with respect and kindness. Ferrer, verdasco were very cool as well.
How lucky are his kids to have such a special dad!
I was on the court on Saddlebrook right next to your mom when you called her and told her you qualified for your 1st US Open. She was the most proud parent for what her son had accomplished. You are a class act and are respected, loved, and an inspiration for others to follow.
Thank you, John!!! Tears from russian fan😢
❤
Man, I’m sad he’s retiring but happy for him. He really had a great career and has a beautiful family. No one can play forever. That’s a reality. He’s has a lot to be proud of.
One of the nicest players of the circuit, but above all a nice person.
Thank you John for great years. My tennis era is passing out more and more
John Isner is such a great athlete and human being. thank you, John.
Isner is such a nice guy, signed my hat a year ago and made sure he could interact as much he can with the fans. Great guy all around
Not so nice.
Not so great.
Supports an obese orange clown in politics.
John, Roger and Rafa were the reason I tried out tennis. Been tennis coaching for 12 years thanks to them. Thank you infinitely John 🙏
John had a wonderful career considering how tall he is. His serve allowed him a prosperous career and his work ethic allowed him succes. Goodluck John
absolutely. well said!
I think no one's breaking Isner's ace record anytime soon so besides being way more than just a great server guys got 14000+ aces under his belt. What a career!
+ most tiebreaks won (505)
+ longest match victory
These will remain unbroken. I’m almost certain. Forever Isner records!
⭐️⭐️
Can't even count to that! 😅
He is just a servebot
@@Andres-qm1xx All the big guys on tour move surprisingly well for their height.
I was at his final match, on Grandstand against Michael Mmoh. Isner had 48 aces. And still lost. Which sums up his career perfectly. Best serve ever, worst return ever.
John looks like a very nice person.
How quickly time has gone. I still have the on-court video of Blake's last match, shot on my iPhone 4, and here we are now. 17 years in any professional sport is an incredible achievement. Congrats to JI.
I thank you JOHN ISNER for the many wonderful tennis memories you created.
love u❤
I met him a few months before he & Mahut had the infinite Wimbledon match in 2010. We were basically about 10 ft up on the corner for his match. We were literally dodging his aces! It was awesome!
Legend. He was capable of beating anyone on his day in best of 3.
I completely forgot how tall John Isner is, unreal!
I will never forget his longest match he played in the history of tennis against Nicolas Mahut in Wimbledon.he is so tall in size that by his generosity on a tennis court for that I would not forget him
Thank you big John for all and goodluck for your life…👋🙌🙌👏
A class act!
Posso dire? Che bel giocatore e che grande persona big John...dentro e fuori dal campo ❤💪🏻
I saw Isner play at college indoor event in New Orleans,I think it was 2005.His serves were bouncing up 6-7' high on the back fence/plastic rag/ every single time whether first or second serve.....amazingly he didn't win the tournament.......incredibly successful career, arguably in the most exiting and difficult era of pro tennis..../he gave a real scare to Nadal at RG once and I think he has a win over Fed.....Congrats
Correct he did beat Federer once
Many congratulations on a fantastic career
One of my favorite John such a gentleman.. I’m glad they did the tribute after he won this way it’s not disrespectful to the other person ( winner ) to stand up and have the spotlight taken from them .. although they would understand the reasons behind it❤way to go John !!
Great comment- very thoughtful
Such a humble gentle giant, respect from India 👍
Family is everything. Well done John ❤
The best fair play sportsman in Tenis World with best serve!
That's right he's not done yet!!🎉 btw his family and children so adorable ❤
So awesome to see so many of his supporters come out to see him! Legends included
Greatest server of all time
everyone´s goal should be to leave his/her job with an emotional, happy and proud spirit. Passion is an asset. Keep Going John!
IF he wasn't such a nice person - with that serve; he could have been called the baby-face assassin. I love that as hard as he tried and competed -- he seemed to remember, contrarily to other players, that it is a game. One he respected including opponents, umpire, linespeople and ballkids. What a guy !
Спасибо Джон за матчи твои ,за подачу 👍 за карьеру. Очень часто тебя смотрел 👍🔥
A man a player!
John, thanks for all. Enjoy life
I hope John Isner plays center court (or whatever the main and biggest court is names) in his final match and receives a huge farewell from the audience.
John AND Jack.
Record for most aces and ATP record for fastest serve (253 km/h (157.2 mph)). Guy is a legend!
How many grand slams did he win and his highest ranking and for how long.
he just looks so much younger then he is.
Bravo John!! 🤩❤️
He's a champ 💪🏆
❤❤❤ John Isner
Thank you, John.
Great man, big reapect to big Johny 💪
I miss you, John...
Cheer up❤John❤♡
All American kid, boy next door image, very clean image he has showed everyone. Will surely miss him!
Best of luck John 👏❤️
John isner, one of the few to come out of the american college ranks to become a top pro. Hat tip to you sir
He won the longest match in Wimbledon history!😮
I always like John Isner.❤
Jhon isner creci viendo el tennis y admirandote x tu fortentoso saque..❤ te deseo lo mejor..
Thanks John
Congrats on the great career, enjoy your time off the court
Way to go John !
Beautiful….👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Big John, in stature and in character Respect man!
I really hated to see him go as I was right there with him (in spirit) during every game that he played. He carried US Men's tennis on his shoulders for many years of hard dedicated work. Seems like a truly humble guy. I wish him well in whatever path life takes him from here. What a lovely family he has too! Thanks John!!!
Thanks John!
Safe to say, a few of his records will stand forever
So sweet
John changed the game! He showed it's possible to take the route of collegiate tennis to becoming a pro. He may not have been a number 1, but he hold first place in many records in the books including the longest match ever vs Mahut at the Wimbledon. All love my man! I'm sure he will continue to be involved in American tennis one way or another
I’m freaking crying
❤❤❤
I remember his first match against RF …
❤❤❤
Comme je peux adorer Jame black Il est simple élégant il était un joueur que j ai adoré regarder ❤🎾👍
My neighbor in Dallas, a true class act.
❤
Where exactly does he live? He always says that he lives 5 minutes away from SMU in the interviews.

great career!!!!
I like John Isner really. I think a polite handsome guy.
Fantastic human!!!
Hello from oZ
NICE NICE BIG MAN ISNER, BE HAPPY, SO NORMAL, HE WAS IN BELGRAD ,IN SERBIA, NICE JOHN !! HE first graduated from university and then became a professional tennis player, which is very commendable and educational for everyone.Bravo !
Shout out to James Blake
John Isner is really tall and a nice looking handsome guy . After 17 years he is retiring from professional tennis after this last run at the US OPEN Tennis Tournament. Congratulations John on 17 years in PRo Tennis !!🎉😊❤
Shouldn't this tribute happen when he actually loses? Why do this now when he's still in the tournament?
I thought that too.
@@RomNYC I’m thinking it’s because he was on a big stadium court. They’re not sure where his following matches will be played. He might go out in the second round on a small court.
@@neoxsupreme Probably. Being an American player, I figured they would schedule him on Ashe or Armstrong regardless of the round he's playing.
also maybe because doing it when he loses could be taking away the spotlight from the other player and they’d rather do it now? idk
Because they don't previously know weither he win or weither he loses the match .
Class Act.
I’ve never seen this man without a hat set backwards
Never forget the Wimbledon match not going to happen again unbelievable thanks 🙏
Must've been delighted to see the stadium at less than 10% capacity for his big send-off!
What a great guy, Isner is, isn'e
He's got no major singles titles, but two entries in the Guinness Book of Records.
Is he also the tallest ever men's player, or is that the other guy?
John Isnes, greatest American player since Agassi.
لاعب كبير ترك بصمة مميزة في رياضة التنس
و كان بإمكانه تحقيق أفضل مما حقق بالفعل..
Huge respect for John. He is one of the best players in the Big 3 era.
What? I saw him play in Europe. He was definitely not one of the best players of any era.
@@pgarciaAP Don't be a sourpuss.
Nah, he isnt 😂😂 He is overrated. Cant barely move.
Isner and Sock retiring at the same tournament is crazy.
It would be hilarious if they end up playing doubles in pickleball
Congratulations on your tennis and Pickleball career John
Nice!!!!🤗🤗🤗🤗
Sweet.
Yay! About time, don’t let the door hit on the way out! Bye ✌🏽
I'm a fan of Isner and a Prince fanboy all the way! However, is it just me or do you guys think that everyone thought John would lose the match? And went ahead with the presentation anyway.
Presentation would have happened regardless of the match result.
P.S. - I'm still using the Prince O3 Hybrid Tour frames to this day!
Always like this guy. Best of luck, pickleball here I come👍
Isner était hors norme sur le plan tennistique, une personne à part et je crois, aimé par les joueurs du circuit, bonne 2 ème vie avec ta famille, trop chou ton enfant dans tes bras ❤
Here's to the next chapter of your life, John!! Even though you've never won a Grand Slam Tournament you've always been a Grand Slam kinda guy in how you've conducted yourself on and off the court!! You'll be missed!! And I still have a favorite photo taken with you! Thanks for the memory!! ❤
Great guy, thank you for great tennis. Enjoy your retirement
He is huge haha😊
Wow he's gigantic next to the 2 holding the picture. 😂
The camera angle made John look 8'8"
Johnny boy
He hasn't aged a bit! Geez!
How many grand slams did Isner win? What was his highest ranking?
Why did they do this before he was eliminated?
North Carolina people tend to be just a little bit more sensitive. LOL. Don't ask me why. Great job John!
