    Thank you Big John,as an Italian fan I will always remember the 2010 Wimbledon match against Mahut I was just 9 years old...it's sad when your generation players retire(Berdych,Isner,Kohlschreiber,Almagro,Ferrer Baghdatis etc.)😢

      Mahut and Isner were mediocre players. As an Italian, you should be pulling for Sinner, even though he isn't a real Italian because he grew up in the German-speaking part of Italy.

      @@real3744 At Wimbledon 2018, Anderson beat Isner in the semifinals winning 26-24 in the 5th set, and was gassed in the final. So they changed the rule so that when you reach 12-12 in the final set, you play a super tiebreak.

    • @papigringo5692
      @papigringo5692 9 місяців тому +5

      @@real3744 I think the Wimbledon match in which Isner beat Nicolas Mahut 70-68 in the fifth had a bigger influence on the rule change. That match lasted over 11 hours and had to be played over three days. Isner, of course, was completely gassed after that and had no chance of winning his next match.

      It's ashamed they didn't meet more on clay, Isners kick Serve on clay was a nightmare to deal with, and it gave him plenty of time to run around and hit big FH of his own, I remember that match vividly as Nadal as far back as possible still couldn't reach most of those serves, even just gave up on 3 that were right toward him but bounced 12ft high into the stands.
