Ren your just pure class man! An artist in Social Media climate with YT's terrible TOS when it comes to copyright claims and what qualifies as fair use, but Ren embraces and encourages reaction videos, but the man was on death's doorstop. I mean he said it himself I'm paraphrasing, but his music is his legacy not the money he makes off of it, how can you not respect that?
What did I get out of this???...mental health is at the forefront of this video...but...it is also can be interpreted as the internal struggle of an artist trying to gain artistic freedom or liberties from a very intolerant record label whom want to control all avenues of direction by their artists...the artist must and will forfeit any and all artistic freedoms or direction that they the artist are trying to achieve for the good of the record label itself...you are the sheep (artists)they are the shepherds(record labels)...your words not mine

Be advised- Ren is highly addictive. I am 67 and I have experienced many musical genres and artists, but I cannot think of any band or artist like Ren. He can do everything and I mean everything. You will see and hear when you tumble down the Ren wormhole.

Ren is up for an award in Prague for best "something?" for video under $3,000. Think about that - an amassing music videos with no backing, no big production, no fluff. Just a live performance of one man a guitar, some flashing lights and something real to say.

Ren is special! Groundbreaking performance. I got diagnosed w bipolar w mania and psychosis in 1995. Mental health was a curse word then. I’m so grateful for Ren to take that step forward.
I'm not schizophrenic, and no shade toward people with that diagnosis, but I experienced a point in my life where I legitimately had a sort of break like this. I was deep in depression and substance abuse... and I found myself having a conversation with myself about myself in third person while there was a version of me that felt completely out of the conversation. It was like a stream of consciousness thing in my journal one day where I found myself completely broken down and having what I could of a conversation about my well-being, future, and over-all self-worth. As I sobered up, and calmed down, I read back through what I'd written. It was a raw view into my own feelings, but it also helped me see how divided I was inside. I'm still working on healing and trying to bridge the gaps in myself. We're human, and all of us can go through this kind of separation of feelings and intentions. We can all benefit from taking time to examine ourselves, even in times of internal peace, just to see how we are and how we might be better.
Once you see his life story in full, you appreciate this way more! This dude is more talented than probably about anyone I've seen b4. His catalog is crazy stupid good!! He did this video in one take🤯
I am 74 years old. My first time of hearing Ren was this one. By the end I was crying like a baby. My family, parents, siblings, myself, my children have been through hell, each with their own demons. Struggles in life with our own doubts, dreams and disappointments, and then the b.s. from others interjecting their ideas about this and that. My son is bi-polar, my daughter suffers from agoraphobia and anxiety attacks. My issue is talking to myself and hating myself, fighting my demons and at the same time trying to save everyone else. Life is sometimes a real bitch. I will sometimes shed a tear when hearing this, but I've stopped the sobbing. Ren is amazing at having us see ourselves and recognizing the trials we go through. Whether we are physically ill or just an ordinary human that is in some emotional pain. I am tired of telling my subconscious to shut the hell up! Yet the battle continues and I see it for what it is, actually helping me with decisions and life directions. Where do we go from here? Where ever it leads us, don't force it, accepting whatever or fighting it if you can.
This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what Ren does. Not sure if you noticed but this was a live, single take performance also. Aside from his own stuff, he also had a band called The Big Push. Whether it's singing, rapping, or playing guitar, he has a way of being interesting and engaging.

Ren got Lyme disease at 16 and misdiagnosed for 8 years and went through the mill. Music kept him alive pretty much and the will to succeed.
He's in Canada getting treatment now and has a Gofundme set up.

Great reaction guys. Believe it or not, it goes over some peoples heads - when it does I think 'wow this reactor is probably pretty lucky to not relate to this'.
For the rest of us, it's such an important message and so relatable. Even if our personal issues are not exactly the same as Ren's, he has kept it vague enough that it resonates with so many people and is a message of hope and self acceptance. Which is weird as CNN played a clip of it recently out of context to show kids being exposed to suicidal messages on tik-tok. Could not be any further from the truth and I truly believe this song has saved, or gone towards saving many people.
Ren is insanely talented. He seems to play everything and often makes his own beats. Beatboxes, raps, sings, and you have to check out some of his street performances. They are unreal. He is also really good at collaborating with other amazing talents that are unheard of and exposing them to his audience.

Ren is unique, good musician, storyteller, rapper, singer, and videos is always simple made, but effectful, its a joy to see a indepented artist create such great mysic, proving once again, that if you do work hard, and got the talent and ideas, you can get succes without a label, now some say more artist should go down this independece road, im not so sure about that, cause i do understand that this is hard work, and some might want some help on it still, its not for all, so i understand both sides, those that chose independence, and those who dont, cause it is damn hard doing all yourself..

Saw him talk about how artists and reaction channels help each other so he's all for it. This song isn't necessarily on my Spotify playlist, but I go back to it every once in a while here on yt. The really powerful message brings tears to me eyes every single time. Absolutely brilliant composition.
Ren does not copyright claim. He loves reactors. Ren got really sick in his 20's and spent years stuck in bed 23 hrs a day. The doctors told him it was in his head and gave him drugs that caused psychosis. It took 6 years to get correct diagnosis of lyme disease and he is still trying to recover from all the damage it did while undiagnosed. He is in Canada getting treatment right now.
Ren is independent and says he won’t go after copyright strikes. It’s usually the label or corporation that goes after copyright claims.

I dont mean that based on just this song to be clear. If you go down the rabbit hole you will understand what I mean. Just to give some insight he has lime disease and is Canada getting treated for it while putting his music out. Problem is doctors for years were misdiagnosing him and thought he was mentally ill. So they were pumping him full of bullshit meds that he didn't need. Finally a specialist got called in and found that he had lime disease from getting bitten by a tic. Fkn crazy man!! You should chk out his story!

Personally, I love the video of the Tale of Jenny & Screech (has to be the full trilogy!) Epic and mind blowing. I put this as must watch viewing. Super unique.
Lots of people love Sick Boi which is still addressing his Lyme disease and what the medical establishment put him through as they misdiagnosed it.
And a good solid peek into some of his talents is evident with his band The Big Push. The video that features their unique cover of I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop shows he is much more than you saw here. He’s the whole pkg. This video was one of them busking (street performing) on the streets of Brighton U.K.
Also him singing (‘busking’) with Sam Tompkins is great also - I like the one that includes It’s a Man’s World. His duets with Chinchilla is great. He did a retake of Bittersweet Symphony using the Verve’s tunes and his own lyrics. The Verve loved it and the bass player sent him one of his guitars as a gift.
