    BECAREFUL NOT TO INSTALL THE WATER PUMP WHILE OLD RUBBER RING IS STILL IN AS THE NEW AND OLD RING WILL BE CONJOINED AND WHEN BOLTING ON WILL SNAPP THE WATER PUMP PLASTIC AS THE INSIDE HAS 2 RINGS NOT ONE. JUST LOST 250$ on my end 😭😭

    What is the point on engineering such a big plastic part for just a thermostat, it´s completely pointless and very expensive....... can´t you just change just the thermostat element not the full housing ???? surely they don´t sell it.

    So I guess you must have done it a number of times before. I hang on your details. Just in case.

    Btw you didn’t change the rubber seals on the bracket on which the mechanical water pump sits on. So the car will leak coolant still.

    • @allfordsltd
      @allfordsltd  Рік тому +2

      The mechanical water pump comes complete in the box with the rubber seals, it will be very silly not to replace the rubber seal especially when they supply it in the kit

    • @Dmxravin
      @Dmxravin Рік тому +1

      @@allfordsltd that’s not the seal I’m talking about. I’m talking about the bracket which seals against the engine, and it’s the water pump that sits on that bracket.

    • @allfordsltd
      @allfordsltd  Рік тому +1

      There’s no need to remove that bracket that attaches to the engine block, the customer has come back for servicing and MOT’s and not lost any coolant so we’re all happy

      @Kaneda12
      There is a Seal on the Bracket / Sandwich Plate.
      It is advised to replace the Seal when replacing the Water Pump, although, majority of times, on this particular Engine, the leak occurs at the Outer edge of the Plate (Water Pump Seal) or the Thermostat Housing.
      Personally, I would've replaced that Seal at this time also, but, it is what it is.......
