I flew the B727-200 right seat for a couple of years in the eighties and absolutely loved it. Because of the high wing loading speed was critical and it was not easy to land smoothly consistently but other than that I really enjoyed this beast.
Just by lowering fuel quantities and cargo weights to absolute minimums, a short flight between close airports with proper runway length, makes it so much easier to fly these "heavy's". A perfect opportunity to operate those aircraft in full manual mode. Well deserved "thumbs up"! Veteran virtual Pilot since Flight Simulator 2002 Professional. CYUL

When you think how difficult the Concorde is to take off, land at high speed, the position of the cockpit, the power........ it shows how elite the British Airways and Air France pilots and flight engineers were.
i miss his videos where he puts it in text, it would be perfect for watching during zoom classes XD so yea a recommendation that he should make some text vids with some normal voice vids too u know
I heard 727 and MD80 was so called "high drag" planes, which means you can land them at a steeper approach?!??. i dunno. I've seen a crazy video of a 727 which landed on a very very VERY small strip.. i think it's on UA-cam somewhere.. terrible music but it's a cockpit video (kinda).
Noticed that too... Like there's 3 major types of 767, two of which were mentioned to be hard to fly, and he still picked the one which was not mentioned xD
167 knots is the perfect landing speed for concorde and you don't need to worry about stalling since you have 4 massive olympus engines keeping you airborne

Interesting living in the UK and growing up around pilots in the 60/70s I had heard that the Trident 1/2 where especially hard to fly so there must have been something about the T tail
Sometimes you speak in a British accent, and then switch again to the standard accent. Besides that, I love this channel! I haven’t watched in a while, but I’m glad to be back.
one thing I know about the 727 is that, unlike other planes, you need to keep the power on the engines almost till you touch the runway on landings, otherwise it has a tendency to drop backwards with the tail due the weight back there
Hey swiss, how you doing ? I was thinking about buying x plane 11 (or maybe wait for xplane 12, i dont know if my PC can run it( because my PC cant run the msfs, and after a lot of thinking i decided i prefer x plane, so i wanted to know what addons you use ?

It bothers me so bad with how far back his camera is while he flys in the cockpit view. Who flies with the camera at the very back of the dang cockpit??😂 I understand you want to see more of the panel but Jeeze, this guy likes to fly from the first class view 😂
I mean there was one accident of a 727 that couldn't take off from DFW/KDFW and that is delta flight 1141 which was due to pilot error cause the pilots forgot the set flaps to take off 14 people died sadly but 94 survived of the 108 people on board.

Comm' on the 737-200 isn't that hard to land, you just made it look hard. All you need to do is think ahead and have fast reactions. You have to feel that the plane is floating or sinking too quickly and correct for it ahead of time. You also need to keep you engines spooled up on approach because it takes them a while to go from idle to 50/70%.
Fun fact: the 727 was going to be able to fly to London city as Boeing said it could land on short runway and was a “QUIET?” How! How is it quiet?!?!?!
