Michael Bolton was hated on by so many people when he got big, I really think they were just jealous of what a remarkable voice he has & that his fans adore him. And you are right, he really does have a "Voice sent from heaven". What a way to start this new year. Thanks, young man!
@@byzinski the way I remember it, females loved to listen to him and see him in concert. Plus, pretty much all he did was love songs. Interviews I would see of male musicians & just males in general were very hard on him. Like I said, I think they were just jealous of his voice & looks.
It was "uncool" to like his music back then. Just like people hating on Nickleback or Justin Bieber music. Only difference is JB music is actually objectively shit.😁
@@byzinski I think sometimes it's a twisted form of snobbery by people who think their own musical tastes are so far above everybody else's. If the lowly peasants and unwashed masses love him, he can't be all that good. That sort of thinking.
So glad to see you reacting to a Michael Bolton song! Love his songs. He was never given enough credit back in the day! Would like to see you react to some more of his. My favorite of his is, "Said I Loved you but I Lied! Great song!"
I thought that he was given credit then. His songs were constantly on the radio, he won lots of awards, and he was on TV a lot. Today however, it seems as though he never existed. I never hear him mentioned anymore. It's too bad because he really is phenomenal!
Michael Bolton is the only other man besides Percy Sledge, who I want to hear sing this song...I love them both! Michael did an amazing job on this remake of a classic...Welcome back and great first reaction for the new year! Happy New Year 🎉❤
Thank you for this one. I saw Michael Bolton in concert 12 times over the years. Amazing voice. I think you should listen to his version of Back on My Feet Again.
There is no other man could sing it the way Michael Bolton did.... When I hear this song I think of my Wedding Day.. The way my Husband looked at me every day we were together...
It really doesn't get better than Michael Bolton. And besides his amazing voice, he's a genuinely good guy. The woman he married, way back, a long time ago, had a mental illness. They had three children together. He ended up raising those three daughters by himself, even though his career was just taking off around that time. So he was committed to his family, as well as the music. That takes an exceptional man. LOVE Michael Bolton! Hope you'll react to more of his music. He has a TON of it!
You are looking so well! So glad you are doing better! Michael Bolton has an amazing voice. I also recommend "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You" - great song and amazing vocals
This song is sick.. The guy in this song isn't in love, he is obsessed..The guy in this song is the reason women complain there isn't any good men around.. Women despise weak sissy males..Like the women in this song. She cheated on him at the end of all his pathetic begging n groveling .Another great old joint that needs to be BANNED is Bring it on home by Sam Cooke..She cheats on him too
I love this song be it Michael Bolton or Percy Sledge singing it. I like Michael Bolton's voice so I'm good either way. Great reaction! Happy New Year JB.
Classic Music will never die, it was the best ever.60's 70's The '80s and 90's into the very 2000s. By God, I can not believe our generation is now being called Classic. When Music was Music!
THE FOUR who left it all out...Heart, Body, Mind and Soul on stage : 1. James Brown 🙌🏽 ‘The Godfather Of Soul’ 2. Aretha Franklin 🙌🏽 The Queen Of Soul’ 3. Beth Hart 🙌🏽 ‘The Queen Of Blues’ 4. Janis Joplin 🙌🏽 ‘The Pearl’
Great reaction to a great voice. Understand you want to expand, I'm old school and couldn't tell you a single group and/or singer on the radio today. To tell you exactly how bad I am, I have never heard a single song by Beyonce or the other lady. I am open to listening to newer music, except for rap, simply can't do it. If I like it, then hey great, but if I don't, then I just don't listen to it. You have to appeal to all generations, so I think this new endeavor will be great for you and your channel. Just don't forget us old rock "n" rollers who grew up in a time where the music was the best.
Amen to that, I'm old school also and I think I heard Beyonce once when she was a judge on American Idol. Yeah there's not a lot of real music anymore and that's sad.
@@elfberrie Overall, I can't really listen to most of Beyonce's songs. But I must admit that her "Halo" song(sung in acapella) somewhere here on you tube is outstanding. That lady is a real singer and not just a performer, I must admit.
This song really touched you deeply as it did me. Michael Bolten has a very unique and seldom heard voice. He sings this song from deep within his heart and soul. It also brought goosebumps and chills to my body. He sings this song with so much feeling, it took over my body. I really loved your reaction to this song. It looked like it made you speechless and you never expected that this song was sung with so much feelings and soul. Black people know their music and can feel that mans emotion. Your reaction to me was priceless. Keep up the good work your doing.
It's funny, you look at the screaming crowds of the girls watching the Beatles, Jerry Lee Lewis, in the 70's the crowds started calming down, now with Michael Bolton, their calm and listening to his song. He has an amazing voice, and he did justice to this Percy Sledge song.
I understand you want to do all different kinds of old and new... but... but... the stuff from the 70s that you're doing is just sooo freakin' awesome. Today's music does not compare.
I would like to introduce to you "The Dramatics featuring L. J. Reynolds singing "I can't get over you." Michael Bolton has one of the Great voices in R & B History. In the 60's, 70's and 80's voices like Michael were plentiful. The passion of singing a song is almost a lost art. "Long live R & B." Come on back.
Hello JB, I watched your channel aways back & liked the vibes that I picked up on then. Next to George Michael, Michael Bolton is right up there! I love a man with heart & soul. I have always gotten It from music not in real life ever! I've always believed someday I'll love w/o walls up, but that changed for me after I hit about 45 yrs old. I ALWAY'S get myself 110% to no avail. However my dear, don't be afraid of letting yourself be vulnerable, let your love be alive! You know the old saying goes, It's better to have loved & lost than to have never loved at all! I know that sounds crazy coming for me, But, It's true! I can honestly say I can look back on my life I feel I gave It my all, & I'm proud of IT! My life wasn't a waste, I am Loved! Please keep living your life as God intended!
dude, i also could not agree more. this is crazy!!!!!!!! you have ears of a saint! thank you!!!!! this song almost makes me emotional, actually, emotional. You made my week/month reviewing this. i have subscribed. thanks for being alive. and on y outube.
Michael Bolton, The king of ballads.
This is the church of Michael! He never gave a bad performance always gave 100%.
Michael Bolton is legend!

Kathy H WHY WAS HE HATED ON WHEN HE GOT BIG ? 🤔

Maybe because he sounds like he's passing a kidney stone on everything he sings.
One of the best voices and one of the best love songs...I'm 54...I grew up with these singers of '70 '80 '90...unforgettable music!!!
Bolton sings everything amazingly. Please listen to more of him.

Love, love, love this song. ❤ reminds me of the good days😊 his voice sounds good, you can tell he's singing with his ALL...

In the living years by Michael Bolton.. amazing song.
One of the greatest voices ever.
Now you can understand why a lot of older people, like me, would love to go back to the 60's and 70's, great music and people still had morals.

Good one, J. You're such a cutie. Go ahead and expand your songs, but throw in that old school, k?

If you could and haven't already, Michael Bolton does an incredible cover of the Bee Gees song "to love somebody"
Best reaction I've seen from the heart fella .
You have to listen to Michael Bolton’s “Missing you now”....
Leonard Cohen is good for your soul.
Anthem
