Great list Larry...love seeing the Kinks, Golden Earring, Humble Pie and 10cc in there. And agree, Guess Who should DEFINITELY be in the HOF. Btw, Gene Clark's No Other record is killer too. Discovered it 3-4 years ago and played it a ton the first year I found it.

Cool to see Devo and Ween in here! Black star is so good. Fear Of Music is also my favourite Talking Heads album. And of course, Kimono My House should make everyone's top 50
Hi Larry - nice job on the ranking! I'm sure it changes every month. I know mine does. Keep up the good work. Glen is a lucky man. To have you guiding him. Cheers Brian
Ranking makes me happy! I think taking that extra effort to really think hard about what each album means to you in relation to the others is worth it. Anyone who's watched your videos the past couple years might have predicted Sparks and Beatles at the top, but seeing Shiny Beast get extra love warms my blackened heart.
I really love your picks: Gene Clark's No Other album, 10 cc's How Dare You, John's Plastic Ono Band, & Beach Boy's Pet Sounds. I would have added the Beatles Rubber Soul or Revolver, Lou Reed's Berlin, the Notorious Byrd Brothers and the Kinks Village Green Preservation Society. Overall, you made a great, solid favorite 50 list.
Wow your selections are very diverse. Rare to see that on youtube. It's a sign of being a big music fan. I would trust your judgement on any recommendations. Your list has many.
1. Piper at the gates of dawn Pink Floyd 2. ”Queen II” Queen 3. ”Indiscreet ” Sparks 4. ”London calling” Clash 5. ”The madcap laughs” Syd Barrett 6. A new world record” ELO 7. I really love #33 The Can 'Monster Movie' I actually like just as much as 'Future Days', I can't choose which I like better. Many, many on this list I still need to get, but there are others I need to get first, like SPARKS, KGLW, more CAN, I need to get something of WEEN. I don't know if anyone else noticed this, I just did seeing here again, but with Bowie's 'Black Star', the star pattern at the bottom actually spells out 'bowie', It's super cleaver!

It is always great to see a lifelong music superfan list his or her favorite albums. That makes it all the more significant. Funny, I was looking at the cover of Eldorado, which I have seen countless times over the years, and it finally hit me: Was that the first time an artist used a still from a movie for an album cover (soundtracks not included)? Each time I listen to American Beauty I think about how much Larry would/could love it 😂 It's an amazing album and very different from all the rest Dead albums.
Hey Larry -- just discovered your channel, watched your cool video and subscribed. Fantastic list, especially Kinks, Pistols, Devo, Gene Clark and Neil's Trans LP. I would have tossed in... They were very inexpensive there at the time. Thank you for your time.
the artwork on the 10cc album you showed... is strikingly similar to that of Indiscreet by Sparks. At least that was my initial response when I saw what you posted.

I don't even know if I have 50 albums that I like that I can rank Larry, all I know is that I'd have every Beatle album in there along with Paul McCartney's solo stuff with Wings and on his own, plus a few John,George and Ringo solo albums,I'd also have a few Springsteen and Dylan albums in there as well along with an Elton John and a Byrd album. Bob
l have the same monkees album and headquaters love both albums. and also l have in mint condition MORE OF THE MONKEES album. every song's are great on all 3 albums.
I can go with Cheap Trick, ELO (not my favorite one) and especially with "Innuendo". This album is in my top 5 of all Queen albums. By the way, "Made in Heaven" is more an archive one.
It's great to finally get this list from you. I'm going to listen to as many as I can. Hmm...no Genesis album in your top 50. Could that have been an oversight?
Ranked? Yeahhhhh!!😸 The Guess Who rule. It just occurred to me fans of digital/spoti...cant really rank( a listing, right?). In terms of writing id have to say Ray Davies equals Lennnon/McCartney.
I know "Mike Love, Bruce Johnston and David Marks of the Beach Boys Salute N.A.S.C.A.R." is your real number one, but the truth might be too much for folks to handle
@LarryGravesCanadianStudmuffin Ha! Fortunately the gun was pointed at Rob, he bought it, not me…I just drove him to the gas station and we both laughed at it.
Wow, no pink Floyd no Jethro Tull no Genesis no rush no atomic rooster no manic Street Preachers no jam no Judas Priest. Astonishing. But we all hear things differently. Well done for your list Larry .

Props for mentioning Innuendo Larry! It almost makes up for Randy Newman! 😉👌❤

I could list a top 50 in my early 20’s, but at 49 I wouldn’t know where to begin.
50 is a good number. No surprises with number 1. In your other video I listed 41 so I’ll add 10 to make it 51 and on my way to 100 -
Living in the 70s - Skyhooks
Legalize It - Peter Tosh
Toxicity - System of a Down
Rose Tattoo - Rose Tattoo
Jailbreak - Thin Lizzy
Odessey and Oracle - The Zombies
Ace Frehley -Kiss solo
Led Zeppelin 4

and Public Image First Issue - PiL…. I accidentally left this off the first list…. nearly forgot it here - might be in my top 10. So that’s 52 👏🏽
Great to see AR # 1. Revolver has risen in my rankings lately also

Nope, but Genesis Live is my 2nd favorite live album and many of their albums would make my top 100, with Foxtrot at the top.
I knew Beatles (and McCartney) would beat out Sparks. No shame in that, they are a vital part of many people's youth!
Yes. They’ve inspired so many. 😊
Ranked? Yeahhhhh!!😸 The Guess Who rule. It just occurred to me fans of digital/spoti...cant really rank( a listing, right?). In terms of writing id have to say Ray Davies equals Lennnon/McCartney.
Heaven Up Here by Echo & The Bunnymen is my all-time favorite album with Forever Changes by Love & The Pretenders debut rounding out my top three.
Forever Changes is great and I LOVE the Pretenders debut album, it could have made the list.
#1 Uncle Slam - Say Uncle
Yoko Ono's album ranked higher than John Lennon's, interesting. Anyway, Plastic Ono Band is my favorite Beatle solo album.
I know "Mike Love, Bruce Johnston and David Marks of the Beach Boys Salute N.A.S.C.A.R." is your real number one, but the truth might be too much for folks to handle
Please never send me that one, ha ha!
Best part about it is the cd looks like a Union 76 ball and you had to buy it at the gas station!
@@powbarabajagal2435 You were forced at gunpoint to buy it, which really sucked! :D
@powbarabajagal2435 Yep, I got mine on eBay and I still haven't quite forgiven myself
Abbey Road has always been my #1 as well. P.S. 157 Stitches is coming along nicely.
Sweet! Still doing the CD exchange with Glen, including your album, but it might be a few more days.
@@LarryGravesCanadianStudmuffin awesome! I am working on the song as we speak
Fear of Music is so classsic
Watches entire video finds no AC/DC album made the cut …
*Crys* 😫😫😫😫
Lol 😂😂😂😂
I love early AC/DC, if that helps. I have 4 of their albums. :D
@@LarryGravesCanadianStudmuffin i own all 17 Studio Albums , my favorite band for life 🤘🏻🤘🏻
No Pink Floyd Album Larry? So sad…
Perhaps I like different music than you do, plus I am a fan of Pink Floyd, just not in my top 50.
Wow… no Elton John?,, I thought at least goodbye yellow brick Road.. but I have to say it was a good list.
No supertramp no Paul Weller no deep purple no Santana no camel no ufo no budgie no hawkwind . Just saying . 😮
Why bother to rank them? 👻😁
Good , but bit of strange taste ( as your persona ) with no offence . 😂
Perhaps I just like different music than you do, most of the albums are not strange at all and are quite popular. Thanks.
Hi larry love to see switch from golden earring in your top 50 👍✌️
Well, this is a stupid idea..Why didn’t you just show the fifty albums..who cares about your ranking🤬🤬🤬❤glen
dang it, I can't win!! :D
Lol, poor Larry can't win
@@LarryGravesCanadianStudmuffin Glen's a loveable pain in the... Larry! Bob
It's hard to take anyone's favorite album list seriously when it includes Yoko Ono and no Doors, Hawkwind or Dire Straits albums.
Maybe I like different music than you do, plus I love The Doors and Hawkwind but they just didn't make my top 50...
