@@R3TR0R4V3this past 4 months have been nuts, a lot came at once. When planning these it’s hard to know when they will actually drop. However, hopefully next year will be more spaced out. Thanks for getting the ones you could!
I saw Led Zeppelin on their first 4 tours. After seeing the first two tours, I went ready to get my mind blown away again. Well, they blew me away, but not in the way I expected. After their first 4/5 songs, they pulled up chairs to the edge of the stage and sat down and began their acoustic set. Robert asked everyone to be patient, and please allow yourselves to feel the music. At first a few people yelled, "We Wanna Rock" and such, but halfway through that first song, you could have heard a pin drop, and we all fell into the music and flew away. After that, I remember they came back and rocked us hard, but I'll never forget that acoustic set. I watched with my elbows on the stage as it swirled around me. Magical evening for sure..
Black Sabbath 1 and American Beauty are in my top 10 and I am 72 years old. Great taste in music young man, respect. Led Zep 1 is my fave and I prefer Abbey Road to any of their other albums.
I love when you pull an obscure record, that I feel like I discovered somewhere along the way and thought was killer, it's cool that someone else thought it was great too !
I gotta thank you so much for changing my entire experience with music. Never a big music guy I grew up in the 70s just me and my Mom with a steady diet of Manilow and Debbie Boone. I stumbled across this video and it lit a fire in me. Not to get to heavy but my wife died 2 months back and this musical journey has been good for the soul. Keep em coming.
My condolences to you. Music, they say, is a salve for the soul. You at the beginning of a wondrous journey down a river flowing since time immemorial, fed by a myriad of tributaries and confluences, that is as deep as it is wide. As with any epic journey there is danger and It can be daunting, but Dylan is an excellent guide to get you started and help you navigate some of the deadlier rapids. But there are many other excellent UA-camrs you should checkout that can redirect you if you feel you've gotten lost or stuck after taking a branch away from the main flow (like the Disco stream, for example lol). Good luck and enjoy the ride my friend.
This channel was vital to me during the 2020 Covid times. Made me feel part of a wider community when everyone was feeling isolated. Keep up the great work Dillon.
I remember hearing parts of Abbey Road on the radio before it hit the stores. They actually played edited bits of The Medley and it all sounded so magical (“one sweet dream”). Made me so excited about their future. Sigh!
In 1974 The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway by Genesis came out,it was different to their previous stuff but it blew me away, here we are 50 years later and I'm still listening to it now, that takes some doing for a double album with a story running through it and some really strange parts to it but when listened to it about 20 times makes perfect sense,Gabriel's voice is amazing and fits the songs so good,I'm not going to pick any favourite tracks out for the same reason if you had 5 children you couldn't pick a favourite,it's the whole album that's why it's remained my favourite of all time.❤

A year later the Moody Blues released "Question of Balance" which I think is as fresh today as when I first heard it. So where did we match 1. Wish you were here 2. Abbey Road 3. Black Sabbath 4. Zombies - but a different release but with "Time of the Season" and "She's not there" 5. Led Zeppelin III 6. Nirvava but the "All of us" album featuring Rainbow chaser. Vive la Differance :-)
you deserve much many subscribers than you have, you are my favourite VC channel for years now. I started watching your videos when I started collecting vinyl 3yrs ago and that helped, taught me, and motivated me so much, thanks for your content and the passion you put into it. Saludos desde Uruguay!
I like how diverse your interests are. My friend and I were discussing radio now vs. 50 years ago. In the 70's, we could hear country, funk, pop, hard rock and other genres on the same station. Now everything is compartmentalized on separate Sirius stations. We need diversity (and not just in music!) LOL I'm off my soapbox now!
I've been using this channel for the past few years to find new music and vinyl to get, thank you for opening me up to songs, artists, and albums I never would have listened to!
10 Albums I Could NOT Live Without! Noble Records - Pink Floyd - Wish you were here - The Beatles - Abbey Road - Joni Mitchell - Blue - Townes Van Zandt - Townes Van Zandt - Funkadelic - Maggot Brain - Hank Mobley - Soul Station - Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath - Grateful Dead - American Beauty - The Zombies - Odessey and Oracle - Led Zeppelin - III - The Allman Brothers Band - Eat a Peach - Nirvana - Bleach - Alice in Chains - Jar of Flies (EP)
Let it Bleed -The Rolling Stones Machine Head- Deep Purple Definitely Maybe - Oasis Second Helping-Lynyrd Skynyrd Back in Black-AC/DC Born to Run- Bruce Springsteen Dark Side of the Moon -Pink Floyd Deja Vu - Crosby Stills Nash & Young
How cool we’re live concerts and album sleeves…..I would spend hours reading thru the sleeves… knew the order of the music… the times… the writers etc etc…. Again feel so so so sorry for the younger generation…. Worshipping Taylor… that’s all they have… we have entered the dark ages of music literature film and theater….
Great list!👍🌟🌟🌟🌟 My 10: 1) Bridge Over Troubled Water/ Simon and Garfunkel 2) Whipped Cream and other Delights / Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass 3) Hats / The Blue Nile 4) Deja Vu / Crosby Stills Nash and Young 5) Blind Faith / Blind Faith 6) Children Running Through / Patti Griffin 7) Tabula Rasa / Arvo Pärt 8) High Plains / Philip Aaberg 9) Quadrophenia / The Who 10) The Joshua Tree / U2
I'll just throw in a few top of the head albums I couldn't live without.... Tapestry by Carole King Led Zeppelin 2 Days of future passed by The Moody Blues Mud slide slim by James Taylor Season's end by Marillion Storm front by Billy Joel Aqualung by Jethro Tull Close to the edge by Yes Tumbleweed connection by Elton John Blood sweat and tears by Blood Sweat and Tears :) The best Of Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac Way to blue (An introduction to Nick Drake) I could add more but that's 12 :)
Your list is absolutely right. Because, hey!, it's your list and no-one can ever change that. The fact that some folk will disagree means that those folk don't care about your integrity. I'm not one to too often chop down a comment on what is a very personal statement, because I respect the statement too much for what it is. Something that comes from within and is a unique to the person speaking. I've been subscribed for over a year (I think) and appreciate your posts. I have close to twenthy-six thousand albums and EPs (plus some single boxes) on my WinAmp juke-box (the CDs are in a storage space in 77 banana boxes) and I agree with you, not because I agree, but because I (like you) it's not my place to dis-agree. All the best for the new year, Noble.
Nice choices! You made me break out Hank Mobley's Soul Station, which I have not listened to since 2007 (I've tracked my album listens since 2005) - so thanks for the inspiration!
Hi - nice list. I have a lot of those albums / CD's. Am a massive Led Zep fan, saw them in Manchester UK in 71 / 72 . Did an electric set, then came back and did an amazing acoustic set and finished off with another electric set - unforgettable. Zep III, a classic, like you I love their acoustic stuff - so good. Happy New Year. Cheers Doug
I just purchased my first (for me) turntable. I am super excited to start this journey. I'm watching tons of videos on parts , do and don't, technical video etc.. I want to do this right from the beginning. Your channel is amazing !!
My parents got me Zep III album for Christmas when it came out and I am eternally in love with this record. It really showed their diversity and introduced the listener a taste of what was to come like Stairway, Down By The Seaside, The Rain Song, Over The Hills And Far Away. Fantastically Underrated Album. ~S.G.
Hey Buddy!! Even When We Are Always Looking For Obscure Treasures, But We Have our Lifelong Favorites!!! Wish I Could Vote 10 Times!!!! You Are The Best!! Wish Got Down To See You More!!!!
Dylan...I don't subscribe all that often, but you really do great videos. You deserve 100k. In my younger years, I fancied myself a record collector. You tempt me to start up again.
Thanks for this… About a month ago I was in great harvest bread in Denver and I couldn’t believe it but the teenagers working there were playing the very first Black Sabbath album and I thought that was pretty cool.
Just bought funkadelic maggot brain, i havent heard it, but i feel that when you buy Records without hearing them first the satisfaction is much greater if you like it . Can’t wait to hear it
Keep it up with informing about these obscure 70s hard rock bands! Thanks for the great content all year! And props to all the store exclusives! You are a music restoration expert! 😅❤🎸
@noblerecords When you get a chance, listen to Kansas - Leftoverture then listen to Kansas Point of no return. You will need to hear both albums. Years ago I bought a cassette that had both of the albums together. Their music is at a different level!
Hey, I didn’t realise I wasn’t subscribed, had to smash that subscribe button. I started record collecting about 6 months ago and have gone a bit crazy. Loving your content.
I can't subscribe any further but I'll comment to maybe get extra traction. Love your channel man, really appreciate that you're into lots of lesser-known stuff. So much good stuff out there that most people just don't even talk about.
I listened to your top 10 list today. It was a great listening session. I already had everything but Funkadelic, Soul Station on Album/LP. (I'm 65 so it's generally an album for me 😂 Although, I have to keep referring to them as vinyl records for a lot of younger folks). I streamed what I didn't have on Tidal. I was completely unfamiliar with Funkadelic but absolutely blown away with the title track Maggot Brain. To me it was like Pink Floyd and Hendrix put something together. I had to hear it several times. The rest was good but man that first song is killer. Thanks for turning me on to that. I really enjoy your channel and regularly use your recommendations to stream music before buying albums. Happy listening 🎧 P.S. I have one for you to check out if you haven't already heard it. Jimmy Rushing "Five Feet of Soul"
I have very different tastes from most 1) war on drugs - deeper understanding 2)stevie wonder - songs in the key of life 3)bernard butler - people move on 4) edwyn collins - gorgeous george 5) new radicals - maybe you were brainwashed too 6) beatles - sgt peppers 7) shout out louds - our ill wills 8) delta spirit - into the wide 9) al dimeola - elegant gypsy 10) cheap trick - heaven tonight
Awesome list there’s a few I need to listen to. Abbey Road was my first album and still in my top 10. The rest is Allman Brothers live at Fillmore East, Jeff Beck, Blow by blow, Return to Forever- Romantic Warrior, zeppelin II, Pat Metheny Group 1978, Genesis Selling England by the pound, Robin Trower, Bridge Of Sighs, Little Feat Waiting for Columbus, Who’s Next.
Selling england by the pound, the lamb lies down on Broadway, wind & wuthering, wish you were here, animals, the wall, red, fragile, clutching at straws, an hour before it's dark.

Wow that was very unexpected, know about 5 albums on your list, quite a wide range of interests! 1st time watcher. My list (was more difficult than I thought except for 1st four): Priest - Painkiller Boston Ryche - Mindcrime Nightwish - Dark passion play Floyd - The wall DT - a dramatic turn of events Billy Joel - best of (I'm cheating) Sting - best of (again) Journey - Escape Maiden - somewhere in time HM's" Dio - holy diver Depeche mode - violator Megadeth - Rust in peace
Hey Dillon. Thank you for all your recommendations. I just picked up a copy of Howlin Wolf's Rockin Chair record, what a killer, thank you very much, such a great sound. Andy, Down Under.
Really glad and slightly surprised you've picked Jar of Flies/Sap in there, that was a holy grail for me only got a Music on Vinyl copy but desperately wanted that album last year
I had about 2000 vinyl albums from when I was 13 to 25 years old. Prices started to rise because vinyl was being deleted and used vinyl was always not best quality for scratches and the like BUT sonically was and is best. At 67 my ears are less good so I sold ALL my vinyl in 1998 -2000 and also my aging late 1970’s Sansui system and replaced all my collection with CDs (now at about 5000 to 6000). CDs allowed me to access re-released and unavailable, or very expensive rare vinyl records and the CD quality is mostly very good if the original vinyl masters have been used for the re-release (and not remixed like crazy). I have ripped every CD into FLAC format and I use an Astel & Kern SE180 with the SEM4 module through balance cable Audeze LCD2 headphones (with Fazor 4 upgrades). Liquid audio gold pouring into my less than 100% ears but it’s still working well for me.
Solid list! It's difficult to narrow it down but I think my list would be: 1. Seed of Memory - Terry Reid 2. Colossal youth - Young Marble Giants 3. III - Led Zeppelin 4. Gospel according to Zeus - Power of Zeus 5. Rumors - Fleetwood Mac 6. The Very Dab - Fingerprintz 7. Meddle - Pink Floyd 8. Psychedelic sounds - 13th Floor Elevators 9. Good, the Bad and the Ugly soundtrack 10. Kind of Blue - Miles Davis
I found an original copy of that Townes Van Zandt album at the goodwill outlet. People were piling junk on it as they were looking for their treasure. I gladly picked up for $0.49
Dillon. Wish you were here was the first record I bought at the age of 12y. You're so gd lucky to hold the Jar of Flies in your hands. I only got the digital version...
My copy of s/t also has a nice story. I bought it from a former Tomato-Employee (the successor label to Poppy; has the same owner). He in turn sold this LP (and others) on behalf of a friend who was a salesman at Tomato at the time and drove Townes from gig to gig. He didn't tell me this before the sale (so that I would pay a higher price, for example), but only afterwards, when the record had already been shipped, during a conversation about loving townes-music. I printed out the email and put it in my copy. Love that you mentioned Townes. He is my absolute all-time favorite singer-songwriter, too! I've collected all the albums he's put out on Poppy over the years as Poppy first pressings - all with original inner sleeve and in nearly perfect shape. Our Mother the Mountain was still unopened in shrink. The greatest pride of my collection! I also had several copies of the s/t album and yes, they are noisy. That's just the way it is - whatever. It's heartbreaking and i love it!
That’s a pretty good list. I could quibble with a few selections, but hearing your opinions was worth it. I also like the records you recommended. I’ll check them out. Fun video. Thanks! 👍🏻 (PS: I subscribed!)

Mid-late '80s, my job sent me to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada a couple of times through the winter. On one trip, Doug, a co-worker and CF on our ball team, knocked on my hotel door and asked if I wanted to go to the bar and catch a singer songwriter he liked. I had no idea who it was. We sat front and center, there were maybe 20 people in attendance. There were two barstools onstage, one had a guitar leaning against it, with an ashtray on top. The other had a mic stand in front. A few years later, I walk into the music store. I stopped at the cashier and asked the young man what he was listening to. I had heard it before but couldn't remember where. He walked me over to the bins and handed me Rear View Mirror by Townes, the guy from the Ottawa bar. I love Steve Earle and El Corizon would be on my list. The albums release was pushed back while he recorded a late addition for the record, Fort Worth Blues, a tribute to his friend TVZ, who had just passed. Big Skynyrd fan, but my favorite all time is Springsteen. Both bands have a Van Zandt in them. Impressed by your knowledge and variety of music.
Box of Rain was the song on Freaks and Geeks.Loved that song.I discovered the Dead thru a movie. That movie Mask w/ Cher. They played Ripple in the closing credits I think.Still my favorite by them.Great list.Wish You Were Here is my favorite album of all time.Bob Dylan is my favorite artist.Great video.👍

Hey Dillon I can relate to 90% of what you like. Don’t know Hank Mobley but my jazz knowledge is mainly Miles Davis. I really tried to like Townes Van Zant but couldn’t get into it. That being said I really love the rest of your list! Just one question. Which version of the Black Sabbath album did you choose? British or American?

That’s my fave Pink Floyd. I would grab my top 5 Joe Henderson OG Milestone albums, a couple of the rarer George Strait LPs and a few other rare country grails. I’d grab my Lee Morgan Tom Cat and Magnificent Thad Jones MMJs. That’s 10+ already! Nice video. Don’t get stuck on having to get 100k done by today. You’re basically there, getting that play button in 2024🎉

Just wanted to check in and make sure that you are okay...I know that the hurricane was devastating to the region and even though I am in Seattle, WA I am from Marion, VA and it was flooded even though it is 2200 feet in elevation...Just hope all is well and love the channel, George
Man… Your tastes are very similar to mine. Black Sabbath, Zeppelin 3, Bleach, Jar of Flies, Abbey Road, and Odyssey & Oracle are all favorites, although sadly, I own none of them on vinyl (yet). I know I could just order them, but I love just going to the shop and finding stuff, so I’ll be patient lol. Been into vinyl for almost 30 years now, and unfortunately lost my old original collection which has a lot of great stuff in it, so I started rebuilding recently. Found a great record shop locally here in San Diego, but far from my work where I find most of my records. In the 90’s, I lived and worked near Tower Records in Los Angeles, so I used to spend my entire paycheck there more often than I’d like to admit 🤣🤣 Great stuff, man, love this channel.

OG OG members or nothing
Priceless experience
I saw them in 77 and they did the acoustic set , but the crowd was rowdy , msg lol . But they were great !
That’s sooo cool!
Black Sabbath 1 and American Beauty are in my top 10 and I am 72 years old. Great taste in music young man, respect. Led Zep 1 is my fave and I prefer Abbey Road to any of their other albums.
Thank you for pushing the record community to this level! Happy New Year to everyone

The second side of Abbey Road is flawless. Really looking forward to this year's reissues as all the ones from last year have been great.
Thanks so much for supporting it! Lots of exciting things coming!
Whole heartily agree. Side 2 is one magical song, no stop and start, just ebb and flow.

Hey thanks so much! That means a lot!!!! I try!
That’s my goal!!! Thanks for watching! 🙏

Well if I didn’t have a turntable I guess there’s no point 🤣
Wow Dillon, you’ve been cooking with all these videos recently! Keep it up man! I hope you get to 100k soon!
Trying hard 😅
Happy New Year, brother. I tried to put together my top ten albums a while back, so far I’ve managed to whittle it down to 17!
Thank you so much! Happy new year!
Nice choices! You made me break out Hank Mobley's Soul Station, which I have not listened to since 2007 (I've tracked my album listens since 2005) - so thanks for the inspiration!
Awesome! Hope you enjoyed it!
Cheers Doug
happy new year!
Bro, you look cool guy, this is the first time i watch your channel. Nice selection, my taste is very similar, greetings from Spain.
I just purchased my first (for me) turntable. I am super excited to start this journey. I'm watching tons of videos on parts , do and don't, technical video etc.. I want to do this right from the beginning. Your channel is amazing !!
Thanks so much!!! Welcome to the club!
CONGRATS on 100K !!!!!! Well-deserved for one of the 2 best Record Guys on YT (shout out also to Mike in Phoenix).
I love wish you were here, fantastic Songs and production, just love it🤗
Hey Buddy!! Even When We Are Always Looking For Obscure Treasures, But We Have our Lifelong Favorites!!! Wish I Could Vote 10 Times!!!! You Are The Best!! Wish Got Down To See You More!!!!
Thanks so much Dan!
Your Welcome My Friend!! Happy New Year!!
All of these albums are amazing. Wish You Were Here is one I had to own on Vinyl. Abby Road is a terrific one too. Awesome list
Dylan...I don't subscribe all that often, but you really do great videos. You deserve 100k. In my younger years, I fancied myself a record collector. You tempt me to start up again.
Do it!!! The dark side is calling!!!! ☎️ 🤣 thanks for subscribing!
Thank you for your dedication to the music! 🎉Happy new year… God bless you and your family as well!
Thanks so much! happy new year!
Thanks for this… About a month ago I was in great harvest bread in Denver and I couldn’t believe it but the teenagers working there were playing the very first Black Sabbath album and I thought that was pretty cool.
just subscribed! congrats on ththe 100k subs!!! happy new year🎉🎉
Thanks so much!!!
Happy new years brother. Ur videos get better and better.
Thanks so much! The more I learn the more I’ll share!
That’s my goal!
@@noblerecords Like us, music is your life and couldn't live without it. Grand Funk Red album is top notch 70s HEAVY! Thanks again! 😅
Awesome! Thanks so much!!!
I can't subscribe any further but I'll comment to maybe get extra traction. Love your channel man, really appreciate that you're into lots of lesser-known stuff. So much good stuff out there that most people just don't even talk about.
Thanks so much! I do my best!!!
Happy listening 🎧
P.S. I have one for you to check out if you haven't already heard it. Jimmy Rushing "Five Feet of Soul"
Led Zeppelin III was the first really heavy rock album I ever bought. Still play it (and all the Zep albums) every chance I get.
I have very different tastes from most
1) war on drugs - deeper understanding
2)stevie wonder - songs in the key of life
3)bernard butler - people move on
4) edwyn collins - gorgeous george
5) new radicals - maybe you were brainwashed too
6) beatles - sgt peppers
7) shout out louds - our ill wills
8) delta spirit - into the wide
9) al dimeola - elegant gypsy
10) cheap trick - heaven tonight
I think you picked the best Pink Floyd album and the best Beatles album as well. My fav led zep is #2 😊
🙏🙏🙏

14:43 nailed the rotten apple intro 🤣🤣

Solid list! It's difficult to narrow it down but I think my list would be:
1. Seed of Memory - Terry Reid
2. Colossal youth - Young Marble Giants
3. III - Led Zeppelin
4. Gospel according to Zeus - Power of Zeus
5. Rumors - Fleetwood Mac
6. The Very Dab - Fingerprintz
7. Meddle - Pink Floyd
8. Psychedelic sounds - 13th Floor Elevators
9. Good, the Bad and the Ugly soundtrack

Amazing story! Thanks for watching! 🙏 happy new year!
My top 10 last i checked is over 100 records. Happy new year
Then you’re doing it right!!!! Thanks for watching! 🙏
Great list...all of those would be up there for me. King Crimson definitely worth a mention.

Wow! Thanks so much! Long timer! Thanks for being patient with me!
That’s a pretty good list. I could quibble with a few selections, but hearing your opinions was worth it. I also like the records you recommended. I’ll check them out.
Fun video. Thanks! 👍🏻

I got to add 3 albums to my playlist, thanks to this video! Great list of albums to enjoy.
Watched for long time, subscribed just today 😅
Just in time! thanks so much!!!!!

Just wanted to check in and make sure that you are okay...I know that the hurricane was devastating to the region and even though I am in Seattle, WA I am from Marion, VA and it was flooded even though it is 2200 feet in elevation...Just hope all is well and love the channel, George
Hello, this is the first video that came across my feed and I am glad to have found a new music brother.
In the 90’s, I lived and worked near Tower Records in Los Angeles, so I used to spend my entire paycheck there more often than I’d like to admit 🤣🤣
Great stuff, man, love this channel.
Sorry my hearing is pretty bad could you confirm the name of the vinyl after Jodi Mitchell. Was it Charles van zant?
Hi there!
Great channel!!!❤
Please can you tell me which exact pressing is your Funcadelic Maggot Brain and how does it sound?
Best
Tom
