Honestly, they're nice, but nothing spectacular either. Its simpy tracked Text, nicely tracked Text I admit, but given a couple hours it could be done by most people who have some experience in adobe after effects or Blender.

The old V8s never came close to their official performance rating @stock. Most are in the 360-380 HP range. So not really surprising.

Look up the iroz IMS1000 kit. Tuners have these 2.5s pushing 1000 hp and revving to 9k, they can do like 700 whp stock motor

@@chrisd6736 If that new S4 diesel engine is anything like Audi 3.0tdi V6 CAPA engine its going to be a tuning monster. My CAPA was tuned from 240hp 500Nm to 330hp 650Nm with downpipe and tune and 6.0sec 0-60 time dropped to 4.9sec. So 450hp and 800Nm from new S4 with tune would eat the old RS4 for breakfast.

Alex Chapman should get a b8 S4 stage 2 from MRC tuning to really mix it up. The remap is like a grand and you get nearly 500 bhp

Car loses a lot of speed because its a manual gearbox. You dont stand a chance with a manual compared to the fast automatics these days.
@@Tortelli-NL I agree, fast automatics nowadays can shift faster than human and less power loss like old automatics.
@@caalcb7 would not be supprised if the 0-100 (of 60mph) time would be a couple of 10ths faster with a modern automatic/dual clutch
@@Tortelli-NL It would be 0.4 secs better for sure....but that's not the point. People who buy manuals don't give a fuck how fast can an automatic shift. You buy it for driving pleasure and pure connection to drivetrain that is taken away from you in an automatic. And that will always be the case. I've driven both and really for me the worst manual gearbox outthere is still far more enjoyable than an automatic.

I was thinking about to pick a pre OPF rs3 for a while, too.
But after a long comparison I did choose the S5 Sportback (2018). The space inside is very good and the performance is still great.
Love the car + sound - perfect daily driver here in Germany I guess :)

Interesting comparison love the older RS4 looks and sounds great would be interesting to ha e it on a rolling road to see what it’s current BHP is as some of these had coke build up issues and power loss so could be at an unfair disadvantage

its amazing how well all of these cars are aligned. i never not once notice in any of his videos a car pull to the left or right when he took his hands off the steering wheel. meanwhile, when i take my hand off my wheel on a smooth highway i start to pull to the left within 5 secs.

Since you've started doing comfort and sport mode rolling races, I think you should also do drag races without launch control (even if the car has it) and/or brake boosting, just to compare how quickly a car is in an "every day" test.
