      Why? He's so fucking successful now. This Louie would be ecstatic that he will one day be one of the best comedians in the world.

    • @dhruvgolani7608
      @dhruvgolani7608 9 років тому +16

      No, it's not the success. It's how he lost hair, gained fat, and now has the appearance of a groggy 50 year old. And his brand of comedy is much more nihilistic now. It just tells you how age eventually catches up with you.

  • @ComedyJakob
    @ComedyJakob 5 років тому +33

    Dear non comedy people; A stand up comedian is going to suck for years before he becomes a solid comic. A football star plays 4 years in college, 4 in high school, and maybe more than that all before he makes it to the NFL. And being Louis CK is way harder than playing football.

    • @ComedyJakob
      @ComedyJakob 5 років тому

      @Nelson Robert Willis Louis said that the first times he did it he sucked so hard he quit for a few years and gave up on comedy. And then as you can see with this early stuff he's not so fresh.

    • @jonjone661
      @jonjone661 5 років тому

      Irritating Films being Louis ck is harder then playing football just like doing stand-up is easier then playing professional football at a high level. If you asked Louis ck what do you think is harder, doing your job or being an all star football player what do you think he’s going to say? 😂😂

    I finally decided to watch some of his old shit like this after his self deprecating humor about how much he used to suck but honestly, as far as 1980s comedians go this isn't THAT bad.

    • @Kaarel456
      @Kaarel456 9 років тому

      +thenekom It certainly has similarities to his current stuff. It's just like the current stuff is more vulgar and much more daring when it comes to topics. It's a similar formula back then, but it is toned down a lot. As he started to care less, he got more harsh and better. At least that is my take on his stuff.

    I fully believe that how louie said he used LSD when younger while on howard sterns show, that it altered his personality like it is known to be capable of doing and changed his perception of reality and enlightened him which is why I believe his comedy and personality changed so much. He's definitely enlightened and it shows in his genius way to talk about very deep things while making people laugh.

    • @lizaniamuela5189
      @lizaniamuela5189 9 років тому +1

    • @dyloonedoneitagain5027
      @dyloonedoneitagain5027 9 років тому

      +grass hopper or you know he got life experience, from living… life

    • @grasshopper2462
      @grasshopper2462 9 років тому

      +Dyloone Done it again everyone lives life and has experiences, that doesn't mean your going to become someone who is able to think about things in a different light that always comes to deep conclusions about your experiences. He could have just got lucky and that was the person he developed into, after all I'd like to think most people learn and become more aware the older they get. However if you ever took psychedelics you'd know exactly what I'm talking about, it can completely change your personality and your perception of reality to where you'll see deeper meaning in things without trying. It Meade me more sensitive, changed the way I think, and took away the hatred I had for this life

    • @dyloonedoneitagain5027
      @dyloonedoneitagain5027 9 років тому

      So you're saying I should get these magic drugs

    • @grasshopper2462
      @grasshopper2462 9 років тому

      +Dyloone Done it again lol, I I know your joking but I'll answer with a serious statement anyways for the fun of it. Some psychedelics or maybe all, idk, can possibly drive someone mad or negativity effect their personality, but idk if this is with all or just some, or if it depends on the person as well. In some places, psychedelics have been used a very long time by cultures in places like Peru and brazil, and they use them as spiritual practice. There's also some small studies now being done and some from a few years ago that said people who took mushrooms had an experience that they considered to be one of the most important things they'd done. In one study mushrooms were given to people with terminal disease to help them coupe with their condition, many still felt the positive effects from when they used mushrooms nearly a year later. I used mushrooms but didn't have a wide open awakening experience, but It did alter my mind. I found myself thinking abstract ideas and started to see a deeper side of everything. I also had later experiences that changed me so much to where I fully believe I was in the "matrix" before and didn't even know it. It brought me great insight and a comlete change in my perception of reality, as well as some very tough battles with myself, but everyone is different and will react differently to different things. Anyways, I was surprised to hear louie say he's tried these. But its interesting because if you look at the most enlightened comedians there is and ever was, in my opinion: dave chappelle (talks conspiracies etc), louie (talks social and psychological truth) and George carlin (conspiracies and government truth), it just so happens that they all had tried psychedelics before. Carlin even said on Chris rocks old show that using them woke him up, and thats when I believe he turned into a hippie kind of anti establishment comedian and grew his hair in the 70s.
