They way Louis talks about stand up comedy, makes me think he’s a genius. A lot of the stuff he’s saying and the way he thinks - is actually applicable in everyday life. Loved this podcast.
Very true, except his take on open borders. We shouldnt be forced to be unsafe because of corruption. The elite will continue to benefit while the rest of us suffer. Hes looking at the situation through a lens without really understanding it. He implies everyone coming over are just our local hard working mexicans who want a better life too. This simply isnt true. You talk to people on these Venezuelan and african caravans of all men and they even say there were people in that group they were scared of. There are people coming over who wish us harm and hate and blame us for their situation. His take is socialism. You open the flood gates and wages go down, you now have people who will work for nothing because its better than what they have. This benefits the elite, again. You also have people coming over who hate our culture or dont mesh with it or want to change it. We are aloud to exist, this isnt our fault. Its a complex situation no one has the answer for, but i bet it could be solved if the corrupted entities werent so corrupt. The issue shouldnt be opening our borders, it should be paying cobalt workers a real wage because these corporations arent passing any savings on.

Just watched this, and it is my new favorite podcast episode. 2 comics of the same age, from the same region just talking about it all. Loved this episode so much.
Sometimes Joe kinda misses the point, he's so defensive about his whole "I take care of my body and I'm feeling amazing all the time bro" stance, that he completely misunderstood what Louis was even trying to say. He took it as an insult towards him and didn't realize that Louis was trying to say, you'll never find that perfect balance... You'll always have to work to feel good, and the more of these little bits people add to their regimen, the more supplements you find, the more silly routines you go to... You'll never just wake up one day and be perfectly insulated from things. You'll never be in a perfect equilibrium, and there are plenty of people who do none of that shit, who are living completely productive and fulfilling lives, and never have to do all these extra things to "feel great physically"
Y’all are projecting laziness towards fitness big time. Not for everyone because we can’t all dig deep and break our selves everyday in order to recover and grow. You mentally are not capable and you should just say that. Physically testing yourself everyday after a work day overpowers your mental state and is not fathomable. Your comments sound just like this new trend of people saying “working out won’t stop a bullet”. Why are you so threatened by a man in shape that guns are being brought up. Screams insecurity.
@@ZachA-si3qz the only person projecting is you... I am in great shape and I work out every day. Aside from Sunday, that's the drinking day. Point is, there's never going to be a point where you're "perfectly healthy" and Louis was only saying that, like anything else, there's a sense of fanaticism that can come with this idea of achieving perfect health... Perfect health doesn't exist. Congrats on finding a way to sound like a dick online and pretending you're some sort of fitness wizard. I'm sure the crushing loneliness is made up for every time you look in the mirror and are in slightly better shape than other Americans... Incredibly low bar, by the way, America is the only country where poor people can be obese.
Most of us in the real world have little time to think about "how to balance" or how to feel good- MOST people are literally just trying to survive and raise dez children. Saw him live in Atlanta before his MSG special. We were so close my wife and I felt like we were watching an episode of Louie in person 😂 my first live comedy experience and I’ll never ever forget it.
As a photographer that concentrates mostly on very vulnerable people with dementia, what Louis said about the media showing up to mass shootings, really has me reflecting on what is the purpose of media exposure and documenting reality that clearly has a great deal of suffering in it. I don't know if I have any clear-cut answers there honestly. I can say that I do totally agree with the idea that we allow people to breathe, and take time out of respect when there is a crisis situation before we jump into it looking for interviews. I'm glad he said that because I think we have numbed ourselves as a society and don't always respect people's privacy. It is very much an entitlement to people's misery and loss.
Always leave people better than how u found them. If u live by this it's hard to do wrong. Do u exploit the people you photograph, take their picture and run? Or do u have a special way to enrich each person you photograph? That would be the difference. War photographers and journalists who document famines get heat for "exploiting starving people" etc, but the question is, do thy also bring aid and succor behind the camera
Louie explaining how he does stand up from scratch should cost money, but it doesn't, it's free and on top of that he takes time to go step by step, like we're in real comedy school, wow! and that's why he's one of the best, thanks man!

@@duncanmagee requires you to download the app, forces literal 4 min ad reads, glitchy codec that fails more, stalls more, counterintuitive GUI and it just looks like garbage to boot
@@TroubleOnTheWaters Wrong spotify sucks ass, no comment section is also big time gay
i had no idea spotify has video lol
Good for joe for shining a light on this up and coming comedian
Louis CK is so damn funny. I found myself laughing along with Joe at Louis just talking abut him doing standup.
I love his take on Australia. 😂
I love living here too. 👍🇭🇲
I love listening to these two chitchat. They have a great dynamic and the convo flows organically without interruptions or contention, even if they don't agree on a particular topic. Louis CK is great even when he's not telling jokes
It’s Joe-week on UA-cam, this should be an annual thing
if youre reading this, go listen to old clips of Louie on opie and anthony. the absolute greatest
I started squeezing a fart when I started typing this, and it is still going.
CK louis is a philosopher
In order to be a great comedian, you first have to be a philosopher.
Philosophers are constantly asking themselves, "but why?" ...It's in pursuit of the why-is where he discovers the absurdities of the "what is"
In either case, it means lots and lots of time spent inside one's own head
Louis is in my top 5 list for sure. Best snl monologues of all time
I love Louis so much. I loved this entire conversation.
Joe Rogan talking on a deep level about comedy with great comedians is hilarious. Cause Louis will say things about building comedy and working through the material with the crowd as if him and Joe are the same, but Joe is a straight up stool humper of a comedian.
it's hard to watch. Rogans standup is schaub-like
@oscar3611 I don't understand these kind of comments. Rogan isn't on Louie's level - we all know that.
But if you've watched his specials and watched that Schaub special then you know Rogan is 10 levels above Schaub. Come on.
I thought the same shyt, I never thought Rogan was funny 🤷
Love Louis, thank you Joe for a great conversation 🎉❤❤❤
Its like playing blackjack while getting good cards and saying 'See? Im good at playing cards.'
Perfect analogy.
Я человек простой. I'm a simple man. Вижу СиКея. I see CK. Ставлю лайк. I click like.
These re ups are confusing tf out of me 😭
Same lol but still pretty dope because I forgot about this upload
I’d love to see a new Louis CK ep, but I’ll watch again to see what I missed.
I’m with you, this episode is not a banned ep right!? I don’t remember listening to it on Spotify.
Why is he reuploading them?
@@crazydov the full vids must not have been on UA-cam
goddamn. This is the best thing since O&A. Do it more, you two. I'll listen every day.
great conversation; loved the controlled irritation on both sides
everything he's talking about at around 1:47:30 is why he is the GOAT. It's also why you must search "louis ck nyc" and watch the first result. It's one of the greatest 10 minutes of stand up ever done, and it's played to like 16 people.
all hail king Louie
Thank goodness for the existence of Louis CK. I am sure he's given many the motivation to keep on living.
Louis ck is the best stand up comedian of all time
Yes!!!!! I keep saying this
really enjoyed listening to your memories - takes me back to my days - thanks
Nobody has ever made SNL funnier than those couple of openers LCK did. Absolute genius.
Well there's Norm
Definitely wasn't chris farley
Seth macfarlane did
Man, Louis is just always so hilarious! Even while just explaining how he goes about his technique! And seeing Joe laughing so hard, these are good times!
I'm been laughing out loud several times and I'm only 17 minutes in.
This reminds me to rewatch Man for All Seasons. Brilliant movie.
When talking about Bohemian Grove, Rogan tells Louie that Nixon went there. "Nixon went there?!" LMAO bro LOOOOOOOVES Nixon
Louis CK's the Francis Ford Coppola of comedy with how he distributes his own stuff
dudes got a website
@@jonny_codphilo7809 yes that's one aspect but it misses the gestalt of the sentiment
September 27th let’s go
Always great to see Louis both doing comedy and on podcasts like this and with Opie & Anthony
I love jamies faint little laugh when louis asks if bohemian grove is where alex jones grew up
Bro I just heard that and it had me howling
I was at Louis show in Melbourne, Australia. I don’t know why he thought no one knew who he was. Everyone knew who he was 😂. It was a Louis CK headline show!
1:52:25-1:52:35 Louis showing a quick "OH YEAH?!" that was basically saying "that's great but shut the hell up because I'm trying to tell a story right now".
there's about a 99.9% chance that he is a dickhead in real life, just based on the first-hand accounts of interactions with him. IE-him snitching to Pete Davidsons boss at the time on SNL about him "smoking too much weed" because it made him uncomfortable.
Louie is my favorite comedian ever .
This episode is like that Marky Mark movie "Shooter" I'll watch it 8 times a year and be completely fine with it
For me it's like twice a month
His "patriot" movie about the boston marathon bombing wasn't a bad flick
Read the books the movie is based on.
At the risk of being "that guy" they are sooooo much better!!!
Steven Hunter is the author.
How in the world did you make that comparison, I havent seen why yet.
Richard Jenni was absolutely hilarious. I never have heard the name and i consider myself a pretty big fan of the genre. Thank you for that gem. Goes to show you that talent is timeless
Louis CK is my spirit animal
lolz love that. I just realized, mine too! thanks for that.
i go solo to louis ck shows as soon as he announces a show. Best time always cracks m up
Louis is the best
I love Louis. Such a GOOD human being. A part from being hilarious.
So happy you’re back on YT.
Joe trying to keep up with Louis is just adorable to watch lmfao
“Does uh does this fella know?” 1:14:56 😂😂
Louis is king 👑
Yeh😂😂😂
