    It's amazing what 25+ years of work will do. You can already see his talent, but his timing and material have improved immeasurably. Today he would use half or even a third of the number of jokes in the same time, and he would make each one hit.

  • @Primitarian
    @Primitarian 3 роки тому +18

    It's nice seeing him this young because at that phase he seemed a lot more down to my level, whereas today his material is so brilliant and his delivery so adept that I scarcely have an idea what he does to develop it.

    Not that anyone cares, but the "Shhhh" sound developed because when an infant cries it responds to white noise. "Shhhhh" is the best white noise humans can make and it was always used to quiet a crying infant. Eventually it expanded to be used to shush everyone.
    Again, not that anyone cares, but there ya go.

    I've only known Louis CK as "an older guy." And whenever I hear his self-loathing over his appearance, while funny, I still think, "aww, he's too hard on himself." But, then you see what he actually used to look like, and then I think, "Hoy shit, he wasn't kidding."

    Just goes to show that he was the smart and funny guy from day one. His comedy evolved naturally as he got older but he was sweet even back then.

    I wish they had this footage when he was doing guest spots on the O&A show. Roasting early Louis CK material would be comedic gold.
