We'll be running a Mikuni TM24 flatslide carb, RDM Stage 4 clutch assembly, Smolik billet head, and a sweet Doppler exhaust setup. So stay tuned if you want to see more! Thanks for watching! That ball joint exhaust flange is because on the Motobécane, the engine swivels with the variator. Amazing engine brother!
that swivel exhaust adapter is so awesome, exactly what we need for putting on different pipes
That thing is pretty cool right? I've never seen something like that before I found these engines. I'm just hoping it seals nicely lol
I've bought 2 Anbull kits, solid motors just check all screws as always, ggz
it is always great to see someone so into his new motorized bike parts/engine in your case . cheers
Thanks! I am beyond excited haha no doubt about that
@@PhysiqueGeek Pipe Performance Question .... MZ65 clone expansion pipe ($60+$20 for slip-on muffler) VS the $30 kit that comes with a muffler welded to banana pipe, plus the thread-on head tube pipe comes with it....
I know the cheapo banana pipes aren't real expansion chambers and waste of $$$ VS stock due to the internal parts..... I still have a MIG welder and wondering if I took the guts out of the $30 banana kit & welded it back together. If I'd get similar gains to an MZ65 pipe, I believe the pipe ID is the same. So the only difference would be a slightly different chamber shape. It's only a $50 price difference but I don't wanna keep dumping money into a mostly stock engine. Plus the $30 banana kit has the thread-on pipe which makes it more adjustable if you run into clearance issues VS the fixed position MZ65.
I'm thinking when they welded on the mufflers & nuts in the banana kits, they might of removed the guts. If the $30 kits came with the guts removed, making the same gains or close to the MZ65 pipe. They'd probably become more popular at $30-$35 than the $60-$80 mz65 pipe setup.....If the banana has it's internals removed & hollow, I don't see why it wouldn't give a decent sound wave expansion effect.
@@michaelbrinks8089 I've not used one of those weird threaded banana pipes before, but everyone I know that has says they are no different from the stock pipe in terms of performance. Honestly neither of them really does much as far as boosting power goes. The CDH MZ65 clones aren't much better, they're more of an expansion chamber shaped noise maker than a proper pipe. The absolute best ready to bolt on pipe that I know of is the new WC80's from California Motor Bikes. They're actually pretty damn good. In my opinion though, you'd be much better off saving up for a little while longer and having a proper pipe done up for it that will actually improve performance rather than just making more noise and burning your leg lol

@@michaelbrinks8089 For example, these are probably the absolute best performing pipes for the stock top ends. Wali is a very intelligent man that has designed these pipes from the ground up to be perfect for our engines. It's worth every penny plus some rmh-performance.myshopify.com/products/copperhead-65
@@PhysiqueGeek OK, I see the difference now between the real MZ65 pipe & the $60 clone..The real MZ65 pipes diameter gradually increases (expands) in size before it gets to the big expansion chamber area VS the clone that doesn't. Apparently that's what's making a big difference between the 2.
I seen an old dyno video(Zeda now Smolikperformance) where just adding a MZ65 pipe alone to a stock engine, gave it almost 1 extra HP but it was a real MZ65 pipe, not the clone.
I wish they made a real pipe VS clone pipe dyno video comparison.
That Copperhead 65 pipe for $190 is actually a decent price considering how much welding & fabrication work it took to make it...It actually looks way better than a real MZ65 $150 pipe.
I suppose even if I took the guts out of a $30 threaded banana pipe kit and welded it back together. It'd have no more power than a modified the stock exhaust.
Thanks for the reply, you just saved me from wasting $30 or $80 on a clone pipe & muffler.
My first build was a Walmart Margaritaville and the engine was a bikeberry bullet train kit. Anyone doing a first build try it out. Get a 40t rear sprocket and a up graded carb and it will do 40mph.
Nice can't wait to see it done 👍
Right me either! I'm beyond excited to see what this thing is capable of
Customizing a bmx for this would be sweet as hell
Omg this thing would be nuts on a bmx haha
That motor is sick can’t wait to see that in action and the new build your about to do should be really cool project nice bro
A beauty for real!!!!!!
Thanks!!
gruling bike man
If u did a California motorbikes pk80 it would be an easy transition to do a hybrid conversion.
Oo yes that's true, I see where you're going with this guy. Lol. That's what I shall do then
@@PhysiqueGeek absolutely!! Most new guys, after a year of riding a stock kit, find out about Smolik’s conversion kit and go that route. So you’d basically be able to make a series of it. It would be really cool to do a “how I finally found out how to build minarelli hybrid” series. Can’t wait to see you get started, and at some point we need to get on Ethan to machine us the conversion kit. If all else fails, I have my hybrid that I’d donate the kit from but I’d honestly rather buy a new one so that the consumer would know how easy it is to source out the product. Glad I could help
@@jamiebouchard9862 right that is the natural progression for new guys nowadays. They learn that a cdh pipe and reed don't get them to 60mph and then they go down the hybrid rabbit hole haha. That would be the perfect series to do now too with the hybrids taking off like wildfire. I'm planning on getting that kit ordered tomorrow and then I can start on the stock build. Definitely need to get on Ethan about getting the conversion kit ready. Damn dude, you're on the ball here haha
@@PhysiqueGeek I REALLY just want a successful mb channel, that’s it. For 1, I don’t have the courage or self esteem to try it myself, and 2 my job is far too time consuming to make the time for it. So I figure my best bet is to befriend someone who has everything that I don’t in order to succeed. One thing I do have is the funds to help get certain things started. And to be honest, I don’t even really care if u hit a goal or not. If u wanna start a series on the hybrid next, I’m definitely willing to help. And we don’t really need to wait for Ethan on machined parts because, like I mentioned, I’ve got a hybrid now. If we need to pull the intake spacer and base spacer off to get it going, so be it. I love my hybrid to death (I’ll post a pic on rdm) but it’s bolt on parts that I’ll be taking off. They’ll go back on as soon as Ethan has em available.
Hey mate did steve make that exhaust flange
That ball joint portion is a stock Motobecane part, I think you can find them on their own for around $30 usually. Treatland might have them
Is the crankcase as billet made.
That's a beat where can I get one 😁
Unfortunately the only way you'll be getting one of these is if you buy the parts and build it up yourself. I don't believe Ryan is building engines for people anymore
is this guy from Florida? He looks sticky.
Lmao nope not from Florida, it was about 102 degrees when I recorded this though
What happened to the vids man?
