Thanks Cynthia. I’m just curious. Were you able to watch Harri’s reaction to Little Big Town a few days ago. You had previously mentioned that my requested version was blocked in Canada. 🌸
@@debbiechang5781 Yes I was able to see it. Was it the same version that Harri played? I have seen that "not available in your country" a few times but maybe Harri did some magic. It was great, I thought I mentioned it. I went back to the link you posted and it still says blocked. Odd.
Linda is such a versatile singer. I’m not sure how many vocalists could pull off a cover version of a Motown classic with the ease/self confidence she has! Thanks very much for this request, Debbie, and thanks, as always, to you, Harri, for your reaction 🎉
Hadn't heard this one in years...this a wonderful live performance! I saw her when I was a freshman in college at SFA in Nacogdoches, TX. I didn't see Andrew Gold in the vid. He joined Ronstadt in '73 and crafted many of her hits with his arrangements . Just a great song and performance from an iconic talent. Thank you, Debbie and Harri!
You’re welcome! I saw her live twice during the 70’s and then I took my Mom to NY to watch Linda’s amazing performance in “Pirates of Penzance” in 1980. She dazzled me every time. 🌸
The wonderful summertime classic, released originally in 1963 by Martha and the Vendellas, Linda released her version in 1975 on her album,"Prisoner in Disguise". Produced by Peter Asher, Linda's version is a more Bluesy Rock version unlike the original Motown release. Linda overdubbed her lead vocals to produce a joyous vocal performance with a catchy melody that is just sublime. What a treat. ❤ 🎈🎈🎉🎉Loved your reaction Harri, great choice Debbie. 👏👏 Cheers from Canada ❤❤🇨🇦🇨🇦
Happy Birthday, Lovely Linda Ronstadt. Thank you for all the memories. May God bless you and give you strength, courage and relief during these difficult times. Thank you Debbie Chang for always honoring this great legend, you're appreciated as well.
The band seems to be out of time on this version. She seems to try to get them to pick it up, but they never do. The live version from San Diego in '75 is more upbeat and in time ua-cam.com/video/3fceTi-LklI/v-deo.htmlsi=CoSEzCafwLIT0AWD
Harri, Please check out Heatwave video when Linda was Live in Germany 1976, She is always Amazing But this one you will enjoy!!! as well. Linda Defined generation of Music the best of the best never disappoints, she can take you places with a song like no other artists. thank you for your reaction!!
Such a fantastic performance. Great cover of a great song. Linda hit it out of the park again! I believe Martha Reeves(great singer) and Linda did a duet of this or Dancing in the Street.
You obviously have exquisite taste. Thanks for watching and shouting out to an old woman who always longed to be even half as talented as the beautiful Linda. 🌸
Great performance from Linda and the band. This is my favourite concert of hers on UA-cam. Live versions are always best when it comes to Linda. Thanks Harri for the reaction and Debbie for requesting ❤
@@debbiechang5781 my all time favourite too. Have been listening to Linda since the 70s and only saw her live once when she toured Australia back then. Keep them coming 😊
Harri has done many many requests for a wide variety of her songs. Most of them were from me 😂. But if you just type in “Harribest” and her name and many of them will pop up. I’m amazed at how adored she is to this day even though she can no longer sing due to her health problems 😢 Enjoy watching Harri’s many reactions. 🌸
“Blue Bayou” on the Live at Television Center Studios, Hollywood album … with a Spanish verse near the end. Magical. And the version of the Eagles’ “Desperado”on this album …a delicious meal for your ears. Whether you do a video or not, my dude … this live album is absolutely phenomenal. One of my top 5 albums, no question. Also… her version of “Willing” … good lord. 😍😍😍
Linda's great. I grew up listening to her music, beginning with 'Different Drum'. For another version of this song, try Joan Osborne's rendition with the Funk Brothers from the documentary movie 'Standing in the Shadows of Motown'.
Most of us kids in the 1970s had no idea all of Linda's songs were covers! I love this version, but I think Martha's version is the one most commonly played on oldies stations -- which is appropriate, IMHO.
Please react "Still loving you" (scorpions) cover by Vanny Vabiola from Indonesia. Vanny has a very very beautiful smooth clear sharp melodious voice, long breath, super powerful. Thanks so much
Thankyou for doing my favorite song by Linda Rondstant ! Now check out Karen Carpenter preform SING! Live in Budokan ,Japan The Carpenters karen sung Japanese version !
Harri, please react to Linda’s “Love Has no Pride”: ua-cam.com/video/Pogj0gBbWN0/v-deo.html. You’ve already done Bonnie Raitt’s wonderful cover, and Linda’s is equally beautiful. Other great singers have recorded it, but theirs are my favorites.
I often wondered why Linda Ronstadt chose to remake so many songs, such as this one for instance, and not make more originals being hers were so good. My favorite will always her her first hit "Different Drum". I actually prefer the original Heat Wave by Martha and the Vandellas.
doesn't get any better than Linda!
Another fantastic one by Linda. Great choice Debbie and Harri

The greatest most versatile female vocalist of her generation.

Not a one.
❤❤❤❤❤
Love Linda! 😊
Linda is so versatile. She can belt one out, like this one, and then sing a sweet song with Neville.
She always sounds just as good or better live as she does in the studio, so you may as well watch while you listen.😁
Love Linda! Great cover for her.
Thank you Debbie 🎉 What a wonderfull song choise ❤ 🥰

Always a pleasure to hear Linda, Debbie. The original rock goddess. Thanks to you and Harri for placing diamonds in our ears!
Thanks John. 🌸
Old Martha and Vandella song from the early 60s..Linda does it justice!!
Linda was the best. And it didn't hurt that she always chose the best musicians to play with live and on record.
We played this in a band I was in about 100 years ago. LOL 😂
Linda was the best talent for over 30+ years.

Best I have ever hard and I am almost 75 years old.
My All Time Favorite Linda song cover ! ❤
She could sing a phone book. Old joke for us old folk who where fans.
One of my favorites from Linda Ronstadt. We covered this one in Memory Lane. You have to check out the studio version, as it's more upbeat and faster.

Don't think so.
No one can put on a live show like she could. Did not have to rely on props and such
Her duets with Aaron Neville are priceless. Don’t Know Much, I Fall to Pieces and my favorite ,First Time ever I saw your Face 🎶🎼🤠

Great Atlanta gig. Ck out Willin. Her story about Lowell George..her boyfriend at the time is epic. Same gig. A Little Feat song. She kills it.
She has a album with songs in Spanish
3 of them 😊

It doesn't sound like Mo-Town but it is. She has really improved it.

Heatwave? Ok....but there are so many other songs. The reactions to this song have been beaten to death. Even Linda got sick of singing this.
Harri has done much of her material aside from the hits. I suggest you watch his reaction to “Down So Low” 🌸
I agree with the majority of people that live versions are terrible for a first listen.
Linda is AWESOME, that guitar player/solo, not so much(off key?)
Agreed. Pretty ragged except Waddy and the bass but a crap drummer or a good drummer on an off night. Who was that Pete Best?

@@randyventresca4152 That is your opinion but I grew up with the original so her version was not my go-to.
