- In this video, Dr. Mo is going to explain what happens inside our bodies when we get injured, specifically focusing on soft tissue injuries.
Soft tissue injuries can happen to anyone, anywhere, and at any time. Whether it's a sprained ankle, a pulled muscle, or a bruise, these injuries can be painful and limit our ability to move and function normally for some time. But what exactly happens inside our bodies when we get injured?
Dr. Mo will take us through the different phases of repair and regeneration that occur after a soft tissue injury. We'll learn about the inflammatory response, which is the body's initial reaction to injury, and how resulting blood vessel widening and swelling help to bring blood flow, important cells and nutrients to the injured area.
We'll also explore the proliferative phase, where new tissue is formed to replace the damaged tissue, and the remodeling phase, where the new tissue is strengthened and reorganized to restore normal function.
Throughout the video, Dr. Mo will use clear and concise language to explain this science behind soft tissue injuries and how our bodies work to heal themselves after our day to day accidents. This video is perfect for anyone who wants to better understand what happens overntime to their grazes, muscle strains, joint sprains and lacerations.
