  • Here’s an idea how to create a strong dovetail connection without a router or a chisel. I chose 12 degree angles for sideways and lengthwise angles for the sawhorses
The core of the body is ash wood. The legs are oak wood, and the outer-body is out of white-oak wood.

The mutilation with the saw ! I thought I'd horrifically stumbled on that UA-camr that breaks tvs and stomps on eggs thrown into his living room....

I've built a saw horse or two in my day but I've never built any from QSWO nor have I ever jointed and sanded a saw horse. This is serious dedication to your craft. Well done.

I grew up working construction for my Dad. I have never seen a sanded and sealed sawhorse in my entire life. Not a chance I would use these to cut wood on. Incredibly beautiful work sir.

I think these sort of things, that you'll use around your shop for decades, are most worthy of making with love and attention. The damage they'll get over the years will only add to their character

So good to have a video from you again. LOVING the instructions included. And the joke at the end. Also loved the split and re glued planks. Yes, they’re too beautiful to use as saw horses, but what do you expect from this channel? If I get my hands on some oak, these are a definite project. Especially if I can get some walnut dowels to plug the screw holes.

My first thought too. 2x4's and the stamped metal brackets from the hardware store are much better for an actually shop environment.
The ones on this video would be good for some kind of display situation though.

What is the advantage of using hidden screws instead of just glued spikes exactly at the same position? It's a great job but I dislike screws :p

To force the leg more into the connection during the glueing process. That's the reason why he screws in an angle

Way too nice to use as a "saw horse".... maybe a nice thick plexi on top to make a totally portable desk, etc. . . .

Hmm, isn't the whole point of a saw horses (vs a table) that they can come apart or at least have the legs fold? You glued, screwed, then glued plugs in the joints?
