Everytime I listen to this fella I think the same thing … his riffs should be used to create the next Metallica record. Or any good songwriting band . Just absolutely tremendously good riffs and playing.
I'm really digging the offerings of 2023 so far. There seems to be something awesome every week right now. I'm assuming this is just beginning of the year releases. Regardless I got my eyes on a few new products.
Pretty much the only ITB guitar cab solution anyone could ever need. That being said, it’s about time we have a solo album from Sonic Drive Studio, no?
Have you tried it yet with any of your real amps? I have an Archon 50 and a Rockerverb 50 mkiii and use the X-Load -- been using the GGD Cali stuff and really like it, but this Mikko 2 looks siiiiiick.
@@justsomerandomguyman Very different kind of plugin. That is "just an IR loader". MIKKO2 can not load outside IRs in it but includes an insane collection and allows you to make your own IRs. Very different concepts altogether. :)
Nice work launching this product. It sounds good. If it could launch outside IRs I would consider it, but unfortunately can’t justify it at its current price. I know it includes your IR packs, but it’s a big outlay especially for those who already have their own IR libraries.
First: the demo song is absolutely great! A pleasure to hear 😊 M. could/would be happy if they could have such riffs on their new album! But: taking the price for e.g. Tonex app or pedal, 200$ ,already reduced (!), for just (indeed a very good) IR loader/cab sim is really so much over the top - I won't even try the free version.
Well, I compare it to York audio irs, mikko 2 sounds way better than the 1 version, it is flexible at least the demo. Although I tested the same cab, finding sweetspots that sound good or fit the mix can be tricky. Mikkos Mesa speaker has a bump in 2,3 k. I'm thinking about buying it...
Good question! To answer this question my collection of cabs consists of things that have stuck around and hasn't been sold after making IRs for 10 years or so. So... I would like to think that all the cabs deserve to be there. 😄
Its not an ir loader. It comes with all the irs! The plugins you named are loaders for your own irs. This one has all the cabs, speakers and mics already there. Also the quality is top notch. Ive got an ua ox and the modeling is on pair.
Doubt you would find an IR pack that features 38 cabs and a crapton of mics for under $220. You already get the 'features' for free, it's all the cabs you get with the purchase.
Shit ML they provide a trial version that you cannot play more than 2 mins without been interrupted to remember that you need to pay a 199 euros license. Neural DSP at least offer you 15 days trial full version no BS. Sorry this video is a no for me. I know you got paid to advertise but this need to be mentioned in the video

Thank you so much for the demo Jon! You did an amazing job explaining the plugin. 😍

Mikko 2 seems to have all I expect from such a plugin and more, it looks like a cool plugin to experiment tones
Piähhä hauskaa!!
Insanely good. Been waiting for something like this, and being able to export is a really good feature
This is a great way to quickly find and dial in the IRs you really want.
It seems MLS and NDSP are going head to head this week. It would be fun, if you demoed Miko 2 with the newest NDSP Mark 2C suite. 😆😆

First of all thanks and second of all - if there's an SDS solo album I want to guest on it.
Can't open 3rd party IRs with it, which makes it useless tbh
Awesome harmonies in the demo track.
Great video Jon, very useful. The possibility to export IRs is very cool!
Great presentation!
Nice tight tone 🔥
Your intro song is amazing Sir 🍻🍻🍻

Do they provide individual IR files or are they included in the setup?
Can't open 3rd party IRs with it.
I feel like this is the missing piece to ToneX direct captures in terms of realism and flexibility 😜
STL Tones Libra already exists and is great.

Love that combo!

so you have to buy or use a sim first then use the mikko 2?

the biggest question is, are you gonna use it or stick to YA/Ownhammer irs?
Whoever pays the most, I would guess.

Damn, i always get dizzy listening irs and adjusting them fast, changing mics and new cabs.
Can u check out the berries alive plugin
Yuuuge sound dad! 🍻🍻
Sounds good man
The real question is... does all the cabs sounds amazing by themselves? i think too many options can slow the creativity and workflow.

It's cool, but very, very expensive for an IR loader considering how good the free NadIR and very affordable Libra plugins by STL Tones are.
Potentially the "IR loader" title throws off what the MIKKO2 is really all about. You do not load in your own IRs at any point. :)

@@conminado The only reason it's not an IR loader is because they chose not to let you use that feature of the software.
How much is the full version?
Right now 199 bucks I believe
Kewl!
€200? Screw that. An IR loader should be around €50, maybe like €80 max. Regardless of how many features it has.

What?
@@nicopoppe4838 yeah this shit free download can only used for 3 mins and get interrupted.
Do you mean the mikko 2 plugin? Y used it a couple of hours without interruptions... made like 6 irs without a problem...
@@nicopoppe4838 yeah because you are using only the speaker
