The way the V6 engine starts up is so nostalgic ~~ the mechanical feel you get from that startup and just in general from the transmission shifting as well. It’s just more raw than most modern sports cars out there. Also 26 mpg on the highway is very impressive for this car 😯😯😯
the mechanical feel is what most cars are missing nowadays.
funny, GT-R when it came out was criticized as a "computer on 4 wheels" but nowadays it's considered the most raw out of most sports cars out there.

Was just old enough to experience all the rage when the GTR came out and here we are, it's been 15 years and it's the final run of GTR. Time flies by like crazy.
Love Bayside Blue. I've personally only detailed two of them in the Central Florida area with that color. It's so perfect.
GTR design is timeless
2017+ have the new interior which is better looking than the previous years. New console; larger display, no longer CD player, moved the start button. The console with different toggles looks great.

I remember when that car came out weighing what it weights and people bashing on it and now is just part of the normal wight of performance cars. Also people hated that it was too “digital”. Now is the most analog supercar you can get. I think Nissan was way ahead of time with the GT-R.
Visited a Nissan dealer with a friend about 5 months ago and stared at one of these while he was talking to finance. Gorgeous in white too. Slightly flattered when a sales guy thought I could afford it... maybe one day (and not brand new! lol)
This car has a TON of character - a quality that seems to be in short supply in today’s auto world.
Back in the day, I had many friends that had these with over 1000 hp. Miss those days.

Bayside blue is such a nice color, a few Nissan execs have one one employee lease of course running around HQ. I have never drove a car that has such raw steering as such low speeds and feel everything going on.
Nissan has done the GTR right, very subtle improvements over time, but have kept that classic sports car look. I wish other manufactures weren't so experimental with their design
I miss driving from west palm to Miami! Can’t wait to do it again with my genesis coupe.

Really love the interior and the sound of it. Still a car I like, just don't think about it anymore as opposed to back in the day. Still looks pretty timeless, honestly.
Same same. I love the car… but there are just so many quality cars on the road now, it’s hard to pay so much to somewhat feel like I went back in time …. I dig nostalgia without question. But not at the price point personally

Set it at 360hp with some wide wheels and you'd love it around those streets.
One of the best cars to drive in any conditions. Very well researched and developed. Reliable and durable. I am praying Nissan doesn't off it or do some electric baloney. That is NOT what this car is about! Let the GTR live on and evolve forever!

i think it would be very cool to make a more tame version that looks a bit like this, or even looks more like an r34, and just call it a skyline but keep GTR its own thing, much like how subaru dropped the impreza name and made it into a more normal sedan and made the WRX seperate

Really thought the interior in these would look at lot nicer consider how much they cost. Was hoping to see more leather and a wrap around console or dash with large smart display and a digital dash . I still like the car, its performance and the aftermarket it has though.

It seems most supercars and sports cars have more old interiors, Lamborghini has kind of improved from that but Bugatti still looks like an old interior. Honeslty in cars like this it seems like you'd get more in the interior for what you pay but it's not that bad having physical controls compared to all touchscreen like a Tesla. The interior here looks nice, it has the screen but physical controls as well, it flows well in my opinion.

The interior was refreshed in 2017, so it's been the same for the last 7 years, not 15.

Overall not as quick, but much more visceral. Less intuitive interior, but comfier seats!
It is much quieter than my Infiniti Q50S V6 NA VQ35HR, lack some fire

Funny how futuristic this car was in 2009, but now it’s so dated. Now everything is too modern and it takes away the true character.
I miss the classic looks of interiors. I miss dials, switches and buttons.
Speaking of interiors, I think the original interior for this car looks far better than the refresh. Plus, I prefer the column-mounted paddles.
I love the GTR not just because it is fast and powerful, the GTR is a Japanese cultural festival a presentation of everything beautiful in that country.

I have always liked the Skyline, but 123k for a Nissan is just insanity no matter how you slice it. That is the result of Nissan executives cashing in on the hype of the late 90s / early 2000s when we didn't have a US spec GT-R.
