I ignored the Canadian guidelines and listened to TWiV and insisted on getting Paxlovid from my pharmacy even though I had to pay a big chunk of it myself. I recovered quickly and completely and I'm convinced it helped, although I can't prove it of course. It did leave a bad taste in my mouth for the whole 5 days and no amount of chocolate, peanut butter, or anything else seemed to help but that was a minor inconvenience for the peace of mind.

I live in a red state but our hometown paper is still published and has a ‘right’ and ‘left’ side. I was surprised and delighted to see that this morning the ‘right’ side had an op-ed piece saying there are far more qualified people to head HHS than RFK, Jr. We can only hope he goes the way of Matt Gaetz!

RFK's negatives far far FAR outweigh the few positives. Anyone can say we should have better and healthier food options, and if he sticks to just that then agreed and good luck explaining to the GOP that it's now OK to tell companies what to do. Remember the GOP spent years screaming that they are adults and can make their own choices when Michelle Obama wanted healthier choices.

It's like we have to keep going BACKWARD. I guess what I'm saying is that it's my hope that TWiV can maybe proceed along 2 tracks - one, what you otherwise would have talked about and two, the backtrack-track.

I'd like to address my comment to your respondent Jenna, who wrote about the vaccines for her grandkids.
Firstly, brilliant that you're asking questions of people who can answer them with the authority of deep study in the field, rather than family doctors who are, by necessity, generalists. Because they have to work with all sorts of health complaints their knowledge cannot be as broad as those who work in the discipline.
Secondly, anyone who's still reading: autism isn't terrible. Most of us living with it have jobs and our own families and nobody even knows we're autistic. It's a brain difference. We're not all Rainman. We're just people, but with superpowers.

Let's be clear autism runs the gambit. For some, it may be a plus for others a slight problem and a number, including my beloved grandson, an extreme disability. Hr is non-verbal, can barely dress himself, and has the self-control of a two year old at age eleven. He is loving and l9ved. Our greatest fear is what will become of him when his parents are gone.

I’m Canadian- an article I read said Health Canada didn’t order Novavax this year because they required a minimum number of doses ( something like 125000 doses- meaning Novavax required this) to send to Canada - apparently there was very little uptake of Novavax, which , I’m thinking was because so many people didn’t know about it - I’m in Alberta and last year would have been required to call 811 to find it at a Public Health Centre- I think of it was at pharmacies and people would be made aware of it there would be much better vaccination rates

I was told that my area of the U.S. wouldn't be receiving Novavax and I called Novavax directly. They were great and one of our pharmacies then got it in stock.
One of the reasons I gave for our need of Novavax is that so many Canadians were coming down to WA to get it since they didn't have it in their country - they were surprised and had no idea that was taking place.
(I had an adverse event from mRNA so can only get Novovax now.)

The RFK distortion today is outrageous. He said that beef tallow which was used for decades - which these guys call lard - was healthier than the seed oils now used in McDonald's French fries. All of which is true.

The excellent Dr Tim Spector has a new name for poor quality food: food like substances! His work and many others as well are showing the importance of beneficial organisms in our gut. Most food like substances are created from highly processed, RoundUp polluted grains and corn based sugars. Our gas stations ( in North America)now have stores that specialize in food like substances . Very colourful packaging , very poor quality sustenance. Sadly RFK started out well, and then got completely compromised by Russian intelligence psych op. The psych op specializes in amplifying alternative to main stream thought. The Russians’ mission is to now kill Americans from inside the U S. After all, they are losing population to the war and Russians fleeing the war. They can’t dominate with a very small population. That is why part of the MAGA people also want to deport millions of Americans. It does not help the U S as then there are no agricultural workers or low end healthcare workers( the manual labour of taking care of people) . Impoverishing the average American is the Russians’ goal. Decreasing American population is also the goal.

N95 respirators have to be NIOSH certified. The 95% is for particles of 2.5 microns and greater. Let’s remember that it’s 95% not 100%. The concern for re use should include how the user removes the respirator since it’s likely that the surface of the respirator could be a source of fomite contamination. The location where the N95 is used should be also be considered. It there are lots of people in an enclosed area such as a conference with many attendees and taking into consideration the adequacy of the room HVAC ventilation system, the potential of acquiring the infection from a person with asymptomatic SARS-CoV-2 could be problematic.

Also, before anyone claims that "masks don't work" because the sars virus is 0.06-0.14 microns lets remember that it travels on droplets, it does not just fly around by itself and infect people like a little mosquito, and the droplets are much much larger and are filtered in N95s.

'No one is safe until everyone is safe' also refers to children in Gaza/Palestine, who have seen polio vax centres bombed by Israelis. Ilan Pape's book: 'The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine' describes how villages and towns were cleared of Palestinians. One trick was to drop some typhoid in the small reservoir and create an epidemic. So blocking medicine/food/water/electricity (with doctors watching patients on ventilators SUFFOCATE) is not new. These tactics go back to the mid 1940s.

The fact that you think your listeners are simply agreeing with you is a flaw in your ability to discern complicated social realities, let alone understand the health of many.
Samoa : There is no evidence or data that can prove that most of the children that died of measles were not vaccinated. It is well known that some of the children were vaccinated, but there is no official record of how many. Why in holy hell would virologists, epidemiologists, vaccine manufacturers, doctors and public health officials not record the vaccination status of the kids that were affected most by the virus ?

    • @gribbler1695

Poor safety measures at the clinics and hospitals may have been a factor too, since measles is incredibly infectious.

    • @toms7695
      @toms7695 10 годин тому

@gribbler1695 perhaps, it is in my opinion that germ theory is nonsense and that the "measles" virus is simply a rash. Rashes can have countless reasons for popping up, most of them involve the environment that the patient was in ( i.e. :heat rash, allergens, toxic soaps, dirty bedding etc)
When you start scaring a population about a virus, everyone defaults to thinking they have the virus, logic is thrown out the window, and everyone assumes their kids are going to due. This panic causes chaos in hospitals, and children with mild symptoms of a rash or fever are pumped with drugs and vaccines out of fear. I truly believe that if there was a measles outbreak in Samoa, they could tell us with accuracy that none of the kids were vaccinated, but that's not the case. I encourage you to research germ theory vs terrain theory. :)

Oh. Also, P2025 is not a blueprint for anything. It's a Deloitte report on steroids with little bunting decorations on the page numbers. It's huge because there's a section for each bit of the executive branch, which is vast, but the "here is my report, Ms. Lewis" report on each one is..."thin" is generous. There's a rhetorical attack on anything already designated "woke" in a department, a smattering of other callouts about well-advertised programs, and that's pretty much it. There's a link on the website for finding your own bran'-new federal job that takes you to a thing that's basically an out-of-date phone directory: there's no canny master plan there unless it's the recruiting pipeline to Hillsdale College, where you can sign up to prep for your bran'-new federal job. It would be great if people could stop freaking out about it and just pay attention to what's actually happening, skim off political froth, etc.
