I am blown away at the amount of labour that goes into these things. He even made the seat from scratch! This guy has such a large range of skills, an artist
not really...when you step out and do one skill you learn many others...i also do this sort of stuff and its easy. You do need told..i have mig/tig welders and milling machine, plasma cutter and a million other tools....cheaper buying direct from the shop. But boys do like their toys.
reminds me of RC engineering where we built race bikes , Terry Vance was a young hot shoe (taking over the riding for Russ's record setting multiple engine Hondas) and Byron Hines was his chief wrench. They used to punch the 750, actually 733, out a hundred to 833 and use stock Honda 350 pistons. Russ had his own manifolds made for side draft webber carbs...fire breathing engines with ARD magnetos and shaved alternators...relatively easy build and a monster to ride, would power this bike perfectly!
I have a 1973 CB750 I'm repairing and people keep telling me to convert it to a cafe racer and sell it. I had no idea what they meant, but after watching this video I've decided I want to keep it historically accurate (at least shape wise 😘). Even though this design style and level of modification isn't my thing, this video was really helpful for me! Thanks!
Such an amazing video, the amount of work in this build is mind blowing, for something that most people would look at and say, ohh he cut the tail and changed the forks..Totally incredible and such a beautiful build. I look at the work you did and I am awestruck at the time involved. Great Video!
Not had a bike since my Ducati monster in 2014, had to give up rider due to my health, but fighting fit again now and this video has inspired me to dust off my gloves! Great transformation, 👍
Finally great to see some one else who knows you have to roll fiberglass to get the bubbles ot and make a stronger bond and not just brush it all together keep up the great work mate
The cover shot is incredble! I've owned and sold about 7 or more, over my 58 years, no matter the condition, since the seventies, there is always something of value on these bikes. Guy on a Harley stopped by and asked for a jet!?! I said let me grab some tools. No problem he says, ten minutes later...his bike is idling sweetly! So I gave him the carbs...who knew?
This is honestly an amazing build. You are obviously an all-round fabricator, craftsman... genius! Watching this video made me realise a few things. That there's so much more work involved in building a cafe racer than I first thought. And that maybe I should just leave it up to the professionals.
Thank you so much mate. You can always do the stuff you can yourself and pay someone to do the stuff you can’t. That’s always what I recommend 😊 I encourage anybody to have a go. Just remember two things. 1.Never strip the bike down completely. just do it in sections, 2. It’s all about the journey and enjoy the process :)
This build has been done with so much passion !! I love the enthusiasm you have brother. I wish to buy a Cafe Racer soon, but as I'm a student, this wish isn't gonna be fulfilled for a while, and I'll have to stick to my 70cc Honda. It's alright, all thanks to God for even this Honda 70. Tysm for this video 🥺❤️
this has been such an epic build, this video has reminded me of loads of little bits that impressed me the first time round, like the seat hump, such a good piece of work.
Absolute Mad respect for your workmanship. You are an inspiration to a lot of motorcyclists who are willing to have a go. I'm not good with mods other than the simple things also not a fan of cafe racers but I watched your video from beginning to end. I'm a huge Cb fan tho. Keep it up the good work and I hope to see your bikes rolling around when im visiting Queensland. Chur
@@CafeRacerGarage but this video is too fast to watch and understand all the process. in other words seems to be useless, but great respect for your craftmanship by the way.
I don't just like this video. I loved it. I, myself, am planning to build a cafe racer out of CB750 too. I eagerly watched this video but felt a little disappointed, in myself, because I could not reach the level of your workmanship nor come close to it. But I'm still trying. Thanks for the inspiration. Keep it up!!
danny austin you are more than welcome It’s definitely one of the main parts of the cafe racer so it was something I wanted to spend more time on and sharing the process
This guy in my opinion is a genious, he build the whole beautiful cafe reacer which by far the best i've seen without even uttering a single word otherwise there are tons of people blabbering hours together building one s*itty bike. i am a great fan of this builder and have been greatly inspired with his work.
Thank you for having more than one song in the video, That’s a make or break deal watching some of these builds , No one wants to listen to the same corny played out default tracks for 30 mins, So thank you
kahlil garcia Thank you for taking the time to let me know this, It’s not always easy to find good royalty free music. I do my best to try and make my videos fun to watch
Silly thing, but great techniques for performing the tasks. I learned a lot of tricks for making cuts, holding materials, and working alone. Great work.
Dan! Been a while! I remember watching those the first time and it giving me the courage to try some of that myself. Always great builds, great content. Cheers Mate!
I haven't seen a comment from you in forever brother, Congrats on the 10,000 Subs btw, Great work :) Thank you for your kind words. A lot has happened behind the scenes that no one knows but I'm still kicking along and doing what I do best. So glad I inspire you mate :)
Learned so many tricks from this video. Very clever and a bit annoying, since it’s the simple things that’s the hardest to come up with👍😣😁 Love the bike to. Some things I personally would have done different though, but that’s the beauty of it all. One can make whatever one thinks works best. Never ending possibilities. 👌
Great build! Always nice too see that you take a stand back and then always come up with the best solution to how your going to tackle things! I’ve been so inspired by you and a couple of other guys here on UA-cam so I’ve started my own channel, hope I eventually can make my videos look half as good as yours! What’s the protect in mind?
My first was 1979, first bike,17 years old. It was extended 10 inches, no rake change! No pegs, engine foot rest..yeah I melted a little before welding. No kickstand, because of the ridiculous fork, just lean it against a building! Ape hangers that put your hands to sleep, Aqua marine metal flake, sissy bar....I felt BadAss! A year later, forks, short z bars, header, new spokes, bike became nimble, only breakdown...Lincoln tunnel inbound Manhattan points fused! KNIFE SEPARATION, BRIEF SAND, SET GAP WITH MATCH COVER, THREE KICKS...GONE! (I believe it to be still running, or a part of it.....somewhere)
I could really use your help and expertise. I just bought a 77 cb750 and it's already been chopped to be a Cafe. I have all the parts, but I'm so lost because this is my first bike build. But it was a steal at 1k for everything.

anyone can do it. YOu just need to do it and gain experience. All you need is a brain and two hands.

Wow, the tail cowl looked amazing . That was perfect. It's a shame we couldn't see it installed on the bike after it was finished.
Agree, that tail piece looks great. I wish I had done something more like that than what I did with mine... ua-cam.com/video/QpPIAdjWAoI/v-deo.html
Yeah, where is it? That was the whole reason I watched the video...😡
I can't believe I lived 3 years, and didn't see Your Fantastic build! Awesome 😊

So glad to see making a front fender, I think that gives such a better look vs. no fender. The little details count.
