I owned a 1976 Z900 Green Machine as a young man still miss it to this day . Jack you bring back old memories and make this old man young again Thanks great job love your channel!
Hottest store in the World... I am dead and go to heaven, and it is that place. I love the old 900 and they have so much of them and are specialised for. A big Thank you to these guys for to let the most beautyfull bikes alive.
I owned a lot of bikes over the years but my green tank 1974 Z1A was always my favorite. I rode that bike all over the western USA. Lots of great memories
I've been in the process of restoring a '74 H1 from the ground up the past 2 years. It's like the government and school systems - a bottomless pit! You can keep throwing money in it, but it never fills up. Didn't have any idea what i was getting involved with. If I would have known, I would have ran quickly away! I too have purchased many parts from Z1. They're honest, fast, and reliable!
I grew up in the 60s, all motorcycles had these short 2 stroke motors with a few exceptions. One of the older kids bought a z1, and i was amazed at how tall the motor was!
AB-SO-LUTE-LY freakin' AWESOME! I have owned over a dozen Z-1's, from stockers to a fire-breating 1326 cc monster! Also, I have had Honda 350F bikes through 836 cc 750 F0's, not to mention my "Anglophile" phase, with everything from BSA Victors and Gold Stars through Triumph Tritons and Norton 850's. And, of course, over a dozen two-stroke triples... ...I "graduated" to CBX's later, with bikes up to 200 HP, but they were finicky and didn't last long. I'm old now (71), and I don't need "the fastest set of wheels in town", so, I ride Harleys. If I had invested my motorcycle budget into Southern California real estate, I could give Gates, Bezos, and Musk a run for their money! Such is life, but I'll bet that I have seen more things and had more fun than they have.😮 I live about an hour away from these guys, so, I will drop in sometime soon. Thank you very much for sharing thiis!
Great video that's a lot of Z1 Jaffa's I live in Australia have restored 5 Zed's over the years currently have two 73 Jaffa's unrestored that came from the US years ago one mint and the not far from it also Z1A Z1B Z900 and a KZ 900LTD plus a modified Z1 greatest motorcycle ever made
I bought a 1973 Z1 when I returned from my military service in Vietnam from another veteran. He wanted something less powerful. I traded my 1973 Suzuki 185 plus $850 for it. One issue the Z1 had was that the chain broke off. It was an endless chain so I had to pull the swing arm off to replace it with a new one. I kept the bike until 1976. I wished I kept it.
thanks that was really cool the green machines thatwas cool to here about your oun bike we want to see your bike collection drag bikes or daily riders you have
I wonder if these guys are the ones that ended up buying my 74 Z1? It was a collaboration of engine work from Bob Moshinskie, Ron Gardner, that was nicknamed "whiplash". I think after i sold it to them it ended up going overseas back to Japan. One I miss and should have kept.
Wow thought I have a load of bikes here in the UK I only have 2 x 72's ans 1 x73 and 1 74 and finally a 75 Z1 also 5 H2's and 3 H1's I feel insignificant now
Amazing visit to Z1 Parts. I have many of their parts on my Kawasaki H2 1250 five cylinder "Fiple". Super nice people at Z1 always ship fast, have great prices and quality. Great customer service too. Here is a link to the 1250 5 cylinder Allen Millyard on UA-cam: ua-cam.com/video/v62pCre4Lfk/v-deo.html
I may be misremembering but I recall that some of the Z1s had problems with bearings in the front of the frame for the forks. A friend of mine had a crash at high speed due to a tank slapper. He later claimed that there had been a lawsuit brought against Kawasaki by some police departments for this issue.
I dunno seems like Z1s are something to stay away from, with that Mecum issue a few weeks ago and with another commenter pointing out that the frame at 3:50 is stamped with a 1975 vin..and you JUST said they were all 1973.
That's because you've never owned one and you never rode one those bikes are one of the fastest bikes around back in the day I rode 2-stroke Yamaha they would eat up a 750 Honda no problem
You With Your Knowledge Of Motorcycles 🤔 Keep Misstating That The 72 H2 750 Is Called The “Widow Maker” The Fact Is The 1969 H1 500 Is The Original “Widow Maker” Come On Man
To all the common folk guys who just want to put together a one off of something they rode as a kid or young adult....good luck. Now you know where all the N.O S. parts for these bike went.....and I'm talking about common enthusiast you do the work themselves. Sure they"ll sell you stuff....if you blow 100.00 bill out your ass everytime you fart ....I have seen this stuff from the late ,80's thru the 90's......HOARDERS.....these bikes aren't a symbol of days gone by.....there a playground for the rich, most of them weren't even born let old enough to have one of these bikes when they were new....how many of you can afford 1 month rent on this place.....
What the hell, this is just hoarding....I'm supposed to be impressed?.....what a joke...I'm totally old school and appreciate vintage but when I see stuff like this I have hard time believing in what I just said....not impressed at all
I don’t understand the attraction to the 70s Japanese bikes. They were largely seen as boring looking, uninspired bikes in the 70s. No one paid much attention to them. Now people are acting like they are special. Very slow by today’s standards so just go buy an average modern bike.
Well, back then , they were the hot ticket. Of course now, there is bigger, badder, faster, better handling. They are quite simply, antiques now. I have my original 71 R5 350 Yamaha 2 stroke. It's in terrible shape.
So untrue! In Australia these bikes were extremely popular. Have a look at the footage of Australian bike racing from this period on UA-cam. Tell me that Wayne Gardner riding a giant Kawasaki around the Sydney race tracks didn't care much about these bikes.

It will all be worth it when you hear that angry idle sound.
That green 750 is beautiful
That was one of the most enjoyable videos I’ve watched Jack, keep up the great work👍👍
And they're the best guys to deal with
That is an amazing store. The 80's kid in me loved that GPz750 at the end. I'd also love a nice H2 2-smoker. Amazing work!
I've been buying parts from them for a while; I knew they were legit but DAMN!! Great folks to do business with, always doing right by me!
That's crazy , my all time favorite model is the Eddie Lawson replica
That is a fooking beast. You have good taste.
I grew up in the 60s, all motorcycles had these short 2 stroke motors with a few exceptions. One of the older kids bought a z1, and i was amazed at how tall the motor was!
Hi John here love one of those
Any CycleDrag video without skanks is a plus for me! 😮

I want one of the 1973 root beers
What is one of the 73 Z1’s selling for? I am in Texas
The Z1 and H2 were “THE BIKES” of the day and still are reputable …. Many still race the H2 and lose to it
Wow thought I have a load of bikes here in the UK I only have 2 x 72's ans 1 x73 and 1 74 and finally a 75 Z1 also 5 H2's and 3 H1's I feel insignificant now

back in 2005 I had to send my Z1A Tank and body parts to germany to get painted authentically.
I may be misremembering but I recall that some of the Z1s had problems with bearings in the front of the frame for the forks.
A friend of mine had a crash at high speed due to a tank slapper. He later claimed that there had been a lawsuit brought against Kawasaki by some police departments for this issue.
Nitro is definitely their friend
Is this the same collection that used to be Route 66 Motorcycles in O'side?
I've seen a lot of them. Not 10 though. Bought an old AEE Springer from a guy who had 5 or 6 of them though, just outside Fredericton, NB.

Everybody that's been in the game for a long time knows the 72 H2 is the real Widowmaker 💯💀

Yea, how dare they!
If you can have that many why not

I don't understand the attraction to anything. Nothing on the planet, or, in the universe, is attractive.
