Thank you for the answer below, and now I have an additional one. I usually am not that dense when I have a video but I did something wrong I don't know where. I had to add binding to the end where the main zipper stops. I knew you did not show it and finally, I got a glimpse of yours and it looks like the seam is well hidden. So I assume I went wrong with sewing the gusset together. It's OK I was going to gift this purse but I am keeping it, too many mistakes. I love the style, the pockets but it was too hard on my arthritic hand, my machine. LOL I made it from cotton and vinyl. I used some Decovil light and some foam keeping it out of my seams. But I still had to struggle to hide the seams, as I quilted the outer pieces but I did that first before I cut out the pattern. Thank you for the great video. I did learn I can handle some binding and it's not too bad. I actually made my own and enjoyed that process.
Thank you for demonstrating all aspects of this pattern. I have noticed in another video you indicated you’ve demo’d how to and wouldn’t be again in that video. I’m a new bag maker and like your technique, it helps me to see how you do these tasks.
Love it 👌🏻 Have only made three bags in my whole life, they are all from Oro Rosa with binding .. and when I now sit with my first coffee cup this morning and watch your video, I think I can adjust my expectations for binding, I mean with mine weak rheumatic fingers, i now can choose to love binding instead of being too critical ... Thinking giving birth to a bag is much harder for me and my fingers 😊 Love your videos 🙏🏻
Oh veryyyy pretty....love the leather you used and im all for a bowler bag! I just bought the Erica bowler pattern tonight after your video enticed me...again! Lindy x
I am working on this bag this weekend. I am at the point of inserting the 2nd side of the lining for the front pocket. I watched your video and I have watched the Country Cow Designs video and I cannot figure out how to add this. What is it sewed to? Not the zipper? It would show on the outside. any hints? It doesn't show well on either video.
I'm wondering about the inside zippered pocket installation. I see you topstitch both sides of the zipper before attaching it to the lining. Wouldn't the top part of the pocket lining hang down straighter if you omit the topstitching on that side? Just an idea.
@@SiahSwag I just had another question. Do you think peltex for the bottom panel would be ok? I like a sturdy bottom and foam seems like it wouldn't hold up. What do you think?
What size hardware did you use? Looks like 1" but I wanted to double-check! Also, what were the lengths of your two different straps? I may have missed you saying that in the video. 😬
Me encantan tus trabajos y los compraria todos pero he comprado dos y como estan en ingles y con las medidas solo en inches, sería mucho más práctico que estuvieran en cm también.
You are definitely the Queen of top stitching.
You're bags is very beautiful
Do you think you could do your videos close up like this again? :) I love it this way!! ❤

😍Love your sweater!! You hair is amazing 🤩
Great looking bag. I'm a perfectionist so I would hand stich the binding. 😂👍💖
Waw super,Thanks.
LOVE the color combinations you chose! Wonderful job as usual. Did you get the black and white stripe from Hawthorne?
Are you going to make the Prairie girl by Emmaline bags? I saw someone else made it but I prefer your totalage.

I believe it is sewn to the back part of the front zipper if I am undertanding your question correctly...
Hello I hope you reply....do I need a walking foot machine to make bags or can I just use a industrial?
A walking foot is helpful for vinyl and thick seams but is not a necessity

Yep you could do that too. I jsut like having it lay flat for installation
would this bag be too hard for a beginner please looks easy as you sew it
Yes it is a bit more of an intermediate sew, but you can always try and practice!!
I just bought the pattern. Do you think it would be difficult to make the front zipper a cc slot pocket?
Oh gosh no not at all. I think that would be awesome!

When you flip the bag right side out those stitches will be in the shadowy recesses of the interior. Who will see?

Yes I used one inch hardware, and the lengths of the straps are in the pattern 😀
Great video, what oz leather do you use as would love to use leather xx
This is a thin leather maybe 2 oz. I would keep it light

Didn't see the link for the pattern.
countrycowdesigns.com/?ref=9mlob87rnh47. Sorry about that.
مشاء الله bravo 🇩🇿
Why don’t you say 1/4 inch it’s very confusing
Yes I have been made aware of that.
