I just purchased this bag pattern because it looks very similar to a Prada bag that I saw and so glad I found your video. Just an FYI about using the decovil light on the gusset...I trim off the seam allowances of the decovil light and fuse to the vinyl, THEN, I fuse a layer of wovenfuse with the seam allowances over the decovil. The wovenfuse holds the decovil in place, but doesn't really add any bulk. Thanks for all your great video.
I can not begin to tell you how wonderful it is to come onto a site like this and find someone like you teaching us how to do this. Ive been sewing now for over 45 years and because im getting older my brain just stops in mid .... see what I mean??? lol. any who, its nice to have someone take us by the hand and show us how to do it. I love all of our video's!!! Good job well done!
Every time I see your intros I get a chuckle, they just make me smile Thank You. Also I really like your current hair do. Thanks for doing what you do.
Love it, while I was watching you I bought, printed out and cut out the large size bag... now to have a go at making one I'm hoping in a couple of days time. Thank you for another brilliant tutorial xx😁👍
Love this video. I purchased the pattern just before your video was announced because I liked the design so much (don’t usually do that). When I make card slots or pleats, I’ll nip within the seam allowance at the marked lines to make it easier to see where I’m to fold. Works better for me.
Love the intro! Thanks for sharing I have a pattern similar and couldn't figure out the closure on the straps and the pattern wasn't specific enough, but your video helped so much with that thank you! Now off to get the pattern for this purse😊
Super cute! I just love this bag and the option for 3 sizes yep thats the cherry on the sundae😍 and your looking great too😊 as always thank you and stay well!
LOVE LOVE LOVE! Your hardware choice on the coral bag is exceptional, and what a piece of work done on the inside lining. Bravo! Thank you so much for another great tutorial (haven't watched all of it but know what's in store, always the best) :) HAPPY BIRTHDAY btw! Enjoy your special day!
Could I use WPC for the interior? I'm not a fan of cotton lining and I don't plan on having the card slots in the one I'm going to make. Thanks for a wonderful tutorial
I try and keep the tape out of my seam allowance if possible, but if I have to sew through it I keep an alcohol wipe near and wipe my needle clean every few stitches. Works like a charm.
Thank you siah swag. You are amazing love watching you sew inspire me to keep on sewing. What size needle and thread are you using? Caribbean su. What is the size of your name plate?
I have been watching your channel. I would like to know if you could make this bag with a tutorial and where I could find a pattern. I would also consider making this bag with zipper compartments on both sides and making the gusset 2 to 3 inches wide. Looking forward to see if you make a tutorial. Thank you and I love your channel
This bag is so cute! When you say te small is good for little girls, do you mean girls Charlotte's age? I have a friend with two granddaughters her age and I would like to make them a bag each. Any idea how long to make the crossbody strap? 47"? The fabric choices are wonderful!
Great tutorial as usual...Do you have any videos showing how to attach the crossbody strap directly to the bag like you did in the medium version of this bag? i can't wrap my head around how to do it. Thanks.
Siah, When you say woven do you mean SF 101 or am i mistaken? I'm new to bagmaking and I made the Harriett by swoon and I did have lots of issues since I didn't know what to use as interfacing :( I enjoy your tutorials tremendously!!! Thank you!!
Thank you for the video! Your stitching is meticulous as always! The only issue I have with this pattern (and I love and have sewn KPD patterns) and I would love your thoughts on this. The recessed zipper panel seems too small for the size of the bag opening...IMHO. Do you think it could be made a little longer?
have you ever shown how you get your zipper pull on your tape so both ends are closed ? If so, can you point me to which video you did it, if not, can you please include it in your next video, thank you
I have shown it before. If your zipper is two separate pieces you put the pull on and pull it all the way down to connect the two sides, then go again with the pull to have both sides closed.
Ok so I am freaking out by the name of this Bag Trio . My first name is Raelyn. Wondering how she came with the name for it. Don't fine my name spelled the same as mine very often. Cool beans

Great job Kassiah! Thank you so much from KPD!
Nice bag. I ordered some stuff from you. Can't wait till it comes!!!
Super cute! I just love this bag and the option for 3 sizes yep thats the cherry on the sundae😍 and your looking great too😊 as always thank you and stay well!
What a cute bag and I love how your nail polish matches too :-)
Perfect
I might have to use my Scoreboard for those folds/pleats. 😳
Your nails match the bag! :)
ANOTHER gorgeous bag Siah!!
I will get this pattern today!
Hope you've had a great birthday Kassiah xoxo... Lindy
I like your t-shirt 😍
Love your intro video hope u keep it up
Could you show at some time how you attach the decovil to the leather? I love this bag and the colors are great.
Yes my other video on interfacing and cutting out the Isolina shows this 😊
LOVE LOVE LOVE! Your hardware choice on the coral bag is exceptional, and what a piece of work done on the inside lining. Bravo! Thank you so much for another great tutorial (haven't watched all of it but know what's in store, always the best) :) HAPPY BIRTHDAY btw! Enjoy your special day!
Great video. Love your stiletto. Where did you get it?
Could I use WPC for the interior? I'm not a fan of cotton lining and I don't plan on having the card slots in the one I'm going to make. Thanks for a wonderful tutorial
Yes, absolutely
How do you keep your needles from becoming gooey from the tape..it makes my stitches look horrible. Is there a certain tape or needle?
I try and keep the tape out of my seam allowance if possible, but if I have to sew through it I keep an alcohol wipe near and wipe my needle clean every few stitches. Works like a charm.
@@SiahSwag ok awesome I'll give that a try.. thank you for all the help you give
Where did you buy decovil light? I can’t find it anywhere.
Thank you siah swag. You are amazing love watching you sew inspire me to keep on sewing. What size needle and thread are you using? Caribbean su.
What is the size of your name plate?
18 needle and Tex 70 bonded poly thread. I think my plate is about 1x 1.5
thank you so much, i just order the pattern i love :-)

Yes I think it would be perfect. And 45-48 is plenty for a crossbody strap
@@SiahSwag Thank you!
Do you think a person could use waterproof canvas for the lining of this bag ? I have learned so much watching your videos.
Yes, absolutely
@@SiahSwag Thanks for the reply :-)

I'm not sure if I don't that on camera... but basically you attatch it like the rectangle rings are your swivel clips... Does that make sense?
What tape do you use when making straps, etc? Mine doesn't seem strong enough.
It is leather double sided tape from wawak.com 😊
Siah, What did you put on the strap for the raelynn bag to stablize it?
Decovil light
i looked at bo do oh for the vinyl but not showing that colour. love it tho
I love this intro so much! Makes me jump right into my Zumba moves!
Siah, When you say woven do you mean SF 101 or am i mistaken? I'm new to bagmaking and I made the Harriett by swoon and I did have lots of issues since I didn't know what to use as interfacing :( I enjoy your tutorials tremendously!!! Thank you!!
Hello! Yes when I say woven it is like an sf101 😊. There are so many variations of it now!
@@SiahSwag What about Decovil light and heavy , where can i buy that?
Thank you for the video! Your stitching is meticulous as always! The only issue I have with this pattern (and I love and have sewn KPD patterns) and I would love your thoughts on this. The recessed zipper panel seems too small for the size of the bag opening...IMHO. Do you think it could be made a little longer?
Yes it totally could 😊
Do you have a special sewing machine for making bags?
I show how to do a tassel on the Godess of the Sea Video, but maybe I will do just a video showing that.

I order it from wawak.com it is leather double sided tape

You are doing a valuable service, but it would be very valuable if you put a measurement
You have to purchase the pattern for the measurements kayapapayadesign.com/?ref=9mlob87rnh47
Can you show me their measurements?
You have to buy the pattern and all the measurements are in there.
I may have to get this pattern just because of the name. My granddaughter middle name is Raellynn.
