Happy Christmas everybody! Sorry for the early launch time, hope you are having a relaxing and not tooooo isolating crimbo
Merry Christmas!
More like suffering form too many cocktails however will get me up in the morning. Got a telescope phone holder from Christmas #happydays
👍🤣
how about jupiter and saturn conjunction, did you image that?
Happy Christmas loved your videos
You are a fantastic story teller. Nice work!
Eyy it’s jerry
Or I guess it’s technically zack
Saludos desde La Serena Chile ! 🇨🇱
elow!
Zack, please don't scratch his telescope lens, they are made from glass so level 6 will hurt them, no need to check this, trust me
So, my wife just peered over my shoulder and says "I didn't know Richard Hammond likes telescopes" 😂😂 hope you and the family had a wonderful Christmas
😂
The Richard Hammond of telescopes and astrophotography.
LOL 😂
😂 the hampster may be better looking but he's a short arse!
OMG mine just said stop watching the fkn long round again, you know Charlie bit Ewan's finger and she has just left....
The video editing, your voice, the effort, your friend and sense of humour, everything is fabulous. This is cinema grade.
my feeling with this awesome guy is, that I could drink more than 10 beers with him. Cool story teller and fantastic soul.
NASA with billions of dollars budget says it´s not possible. This dude: "Fine, I´ll do it myself...
Show the article or a video, or at least something to prove that nasa said that
@@valentin5831 Why me? He said it in his video, that NASA said it is impossible.
@@rage_scorpio5494 idk, everyone is saying the same stupid things, "NASA says" as if it was some kind of trend or idk, it's like "look me, nasa says hahaha, I'm special"

@@valentin5831 wtf?
The production on this show is professional af can’t believe it’s just one guy and a music producer 👍🏾
and a pink bunny.
@@Riktenstein totally forgot about bunny My apologies @pinkBunny
By god the quality in the story telling and journey is amazing
How's this not got a million views? I'm serious. VERY good work (content, presentation, all of it). And sub'd!
Thanks.
Ditto, said so many years ago :)
Mr. biscuit, if I were the head of a TV network, I would give you your own show. You are absolutely bonkers in all the right ways. And Rik, The music is fab. I especially like the hip Satie track. ☮️❤️🦉
@@robsample9546 Completely agree! Absolutely LOVE the conversations with the rabbit :-D
I agree 100%
It’s not a blue lake. It’s mold because the moon is made out of cheese.
Haha
Yes
Mmmmmm...
Stilton... 😂
I could totally dest4oy some Stilton melted over slice of leftover prime rib on a nice sourdough round right about now...
We've finished the cheese, Gromit!
Exactly. When landing, the Lunar Module certainly kicked up a lot of de brie!
At 13:26, one of the most beautiful sounds of Earth, Clair de Lune. Thank you.
Mike in the USA
The way you edit your video makes it feel like a legit BBC Documentary, I love it.
How is nobody talking about the production quality? I almost forgot I was watching a youtube video. This is some BBC level content! Keep it up.
Cheers!!
dude you are so relatable! doing all this complicated research on how to find this super small point on the moon and finding out this exact window of time to take pictures through complicated meteorology and yet, just like all of us, you accidentally spray the wrong thing on your camera. love this video! keep it coming!
Inspring in how to achieve maximum from the given Hardware. And as usually combined with a nice and humurous Story telling. Thank you
*You know Astrobiscuit is a Star (literally a Star) when everyone can't wait for his premier video, we love you man!*
Hope you like the new video!!!
@@Riktenstein I also LOVE your album mate; incredible sounds, your Sergei Prokofiev's rework and the mighty Moonlight 3rd - Hell for Leather are my highlights, also whenever I listen to them, I imagine Astrobiscuit's voice blabbering about something really cool hehe, your collab is so awesome
@@SOGNAMETAL Haha - cheers man.
Absolutely!!!
Classical remixes of riktenstein are my jam!
Woah that Blue Lake shot is so Incredible! This is so Good 🛰️☄️
The most jovial and realistic image of moon ever I have surprisingly seen in my life.....Absolutely amazing....!!!! You only feel it when you see it.!see you guys on the other side of the moonlight😊
I love how you really try and push the boundaries with modest equipment, and you did it! you got the blue lake! Really well done on that! You really do inspire me to try and do better with my channel. p.s Peter Drew who built the scope is a regular poster on SGL :) A top man! Loved the video and that you F up when in a rush like everyone else on the planet (Lithium grease on the ZWO lol ) Glad it was ok :D My respect to Riktenstein for the tunes too!
cheers fella Peter did a good job
GOD PLEASE DECREASE GOLD PRICE.
This is genuinely hilarious but fascinating at the same time.
By far my favorite astronomy teacher! You always manage to amaze me and teach me more about space and the stars. I love your work!
"Blue lake on the moon" boy this outta be good.
I know right?? but you know what?? I wonder what makes it blue? considering that there's no blue sky or atmosphere there?? hmm! guess We'll never know huh?.. oh well!

@@michaelgonzalez1870 lol.. good to see you got the sarcasm behind my last comment.. honestly, I don't think that's a blue lake up there. like no way that's a freaking blue lake.. doesn't make sense to me at all.

My thoughts exactly until I watched it. What a load of crap.
The accent makes the video premium in every way
"My problem is that the weather is being terrible" - kinda redundant, coming from a Brit

Why did the algorithm wait 4 months to bring me here? Good content.
This is exactly the sort of Astro content that floats my boat. I love the experimental stuff. Great job.
allways a good day when astrobiscuit upload, thank you so much
Here in the states & don’t think I’m not going to do my part by liking then sharing because it just happened. My only regret is missing your podcast by two years, it’s now time to get this high quality; low cost video up into the millions-
This was really fun to watch, had no idea about this blue "lake"
Although I've been viewing the moon telescopically for nearly 40 years (sinve 1986), this is the first time I've ever heard of it referred to as any specific color. The fact that I have never confirmed that I've seen it might have something to do with it.
This is not just another video.
It is a MOVIE!!!
With a beginning, a story, actors, script, photographer, and a happy end.
Big like. Very interesting unique video.
I mean movie. 👍❤️
This was honestly the most intertaning video I've watched all year. Had me laughing and blown away. Subscribed. Good job 👏
I thought you're where kidnapped by something in the matrix. But here you're are providing us with the food our brain needs. Thx for that!
Your story telling is on par what i would expect when i watch a documentary on Natgeo or Discovery or something. Great!
The story telling and the video cuts on this are phenomenal!
The man is talented for sure.
Can't wait! After 2 months of being out of stock, I finally got a Celestron 31045 AstroMaster 130EQ on Xmas Eve. Sky has thankfully cleared up as well so I am hoping to get some good shots
Have fun with your scope!
I ordered an Orion 150mm reflector. Got an email yesterday...shipment pushed back another 7 days.
I'm going back and watching a lot of your videos since discovering your channel. You, sir, have one of THE BEST channels on UA-cam! You do an incredible job putting your videos together. I feel like I'm watching a discovery channel documentary with each and every one. So very well done!!
Quality stuff. I've recently started seeing your videos and I must admit they are thoroughly enjoyable. If feels as if the viewer is part of the whole video and experience !
Gotta love how there's a few teaching moments hidden away in a fantastic story. Well done! :)
It's a good thing I'm watching this alone, because at 15:03 I actually made a noise when I saw the blue patch! :D It's been a looooong time since I was this excited about astronomy. :)
A better shot? No way!
I used a similar scope to see saturns rings when I was a child. It changed my life.
The Fantastic Four landed there in 1962. Turned out it's an abandoned Kree outpost, but the Watcher lives there.
Brilliant.... (bunny I mean) but very interesting and your knowledge of the Moon features is impressive, and inspiring...thanks from Victoria, Australia!
U are genius
after seeing this video
nasa : where was he before!
🤣
Oh wow! Can’t wait. Should be epic. Merry Christmas.
This guy is fun to listen to, perfect amount of humor to explain something a bit serious. Diffenatly related to his Mrs. concerns.
This video is wonderful, i wanna get a telescope.. any recommendations? ( around 300/400 euro’s )
Meade ETX 70/80/90 if you need it portable and goto. Or a larger 150/200 Newtonian or Dobson if you just want the best view from your back garden.
If you just want to watch beautiful object and be amazed without aving to deal with complex settings, go for a Dobson, it's the best choice for a beginner. My first telescope was a Dobson and I don't regret it.
Yes, get one that can beam you up Scotty
Do you want to do astrophotography or not? 400 EUR won't get you much to go off of for astrophotography. For visual astronomy, IMO nothing can beat an 8" Dobsonian telescope (if it's not too big and heavy, for most it isn't), which falls right into your price range and will serve you up pleasing views of both planets and deep sky objects.
I would recommend a 90mm refractor telescope on a quality mount. If you want most aperture for your money I would recommend a 200mm dobsonian reflector.
OMG can't wait! My favorite UA-cam channel!!
Thanks!!
This is what talking to yourself in the night feels like in my mind xD
haha
Discovery Channel or BBC, give this man a show... for real!
Absolutely love to see other nerds nerding away!
This is my favorite amateur astronomy video on UA-cam! I watched it four times and like it more everytime. It's amazing how you can get such stunning pictures from the light polluted London sky. You are seriously talented.
"Babe, thats enormous!" That's what she said!!!
haha i wondered who else thought that when she made that comment!!?? I was actually hoping he would have made more of it and made a childish blokes comment like "Yess! That what she said last night!" hahahaha!!
Don t get excited they also say that for tiny spiders....
yes, yes she did indeed.
We believe In you,
As your wife does.
This channel Is gonna blow up pretty soon!
love how this guy puts his videos together. brilliant editing
Bloody Hell..... That's enormous!" Just the sort of reaction we all hope for from our wives...
Got it.... Took a few reads tho🥺🤔😉🤣🤣
😂 😂
This is really "Top Gear" from amateur astronomy. 😁👍 Photographing a hard to capture object on the surface of the moon, from a roof in London under Bottle 1000 conditions and bad british weather! Radical! 😁
Your knowledge and drive is I think precious sir. One of the geniuses we must hold precious and protect.
I loved this video!!! Your passion is contagious and I was on the edge of my seat hoping you’d get a shot of the blue lake.
Just awesome 👏
Why do I feel like I’m watching an episode of top gear😂
Lmao he does sound like Richard hammond
- 1-
I love the moon footage and the journey to achieve it, but the best part of the entire video is hiding the huge telescope from your wife. That’s hilarious.
To me - Biscuit is highly reminiscent of Scotty from the original Star Trek series. He's having multiple things go wrong yet still seems to be performing miracles with his successes. ((-:
The music really adds a great adventure at the same time suspense vibe!
Thank you.
@@Riktenstein Welcome.Moonlight remix is my favorite one.
Buy his album! You will enjoy it!
Moonlight Sonata and Clair de Lune ("Moonlight") as the soundtrack was a nice touch!
Thanks Rick!
I'm so excited right now.😅👍
When the video is about your science lesson for the week.
Me: ez👁👄👁
I almost never click "like" just because I don't like "like collectors" but I would click "like" for an every second of this video. Thank you so much! You grant for people not only a knowledge but also a positive attitude for the whole day.
"Put your hands up!"
The moon: "i dont have hands"
Well that was a masterpiece of work considering the weather in "UK" :D
Thanks for the awesome video and sound, guys!
biscuit: 650 pound-
me: HOW ARE YOU CARRYING IT
biscuit: price tag
me: oh.
Imagine what they could see with there “Hubble “
It would be cool, but the Moon moves too fast for Hubble to get a good exposure picture, and its too dim in UV light.
There's a documentary about trying to see the landing spots from Apollo missions using the Hubble, but it wasn't possible because Hubble is focus to deep field and the moon is too near.
@@ruicorreia7882 have a look on “Bruce sees all” he will show you what’s up there ❤️
@@brits72 Just searched him. I would stop if I were you, he doesn't seem mentally well. He says the moon isnt right because his personal photo was blurry. He believes in the classic stereotype of a UFO, not knowing that's a human design. No hate to him, but he looks as if he needs therapy.
And that's the only time you will here Mrs Biscut say that's enormous 😏
😂
Damn son. Don't need a telescope to see that scorch mark.
Well the production quality of this video is insanely good.. didn't expect that when I clicked
I would love to see a video of yours photographing DSOs using a smart phone and telescope like the one you did with binoculars . MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!🎅🎅

My thoughts also 😂😂
😆😅😆
Yuup 😂😂 'Bloody hell' 😂😂
When you show your partner an sct: "oh, that's a bit smaller than I was expecting. Kinda cute though"
It's amazing that of all the decades I've been alive, you've been alive ,the years that telescope has been around while it all comes down to a brief 2-hour window of calm, with a mad dash rush and a lens covered in lithium grease to get that shot... Wild
Hahah sorry I couldn’t help but laugh my ass off when you greased your camera
Yeah, twas like here at 711 a crew holding an alcohol sprayer and temperature gun, she shot the lady on the face with the alcohol sprayer 👊😅
"That's enormous"
Quite literally, that's what she said.
Mich faszinierend immer wieder die Außenaufnahmen welche man vor so vielen Jahren Geschäft hat bei der Mondlandung aufzunehmen. Ein Hoch auf die damalige Technik
We can take an image of a black hole in another galaxy thousands of light years away but can take an image of the other blue lakes on our moon 🤣
well the pic of the black hole was taken with sevral telescopes all around the world

@CrimsonDawn45 all I’m saying is that the black hole is really damn far away.

Wow, dude you are amazing. Your passion and work ethic put tears in my eyes.
The moment that this guy outsmarted nasa
nasa: hold up
Wife: "How much did the new telescope cost?"
Husband: "I've had this one for ages I just haven't used it in a while. I forget how much. Maybe £50?"
Goodness, she's a beauty! 👏🏻 And what an absolute treat to hear about her history - thank you!
Most British accent I ever heard. "Headed Heaammm"
5:29 I live next door, and was listening at the wall of their bedroom... I'm still in shock!
For a one man channel, the production on these videos is excellent. The cuts, the music and the VO are all chef’s kiss. Hope he gets back to UA-cam soon.
i feel like i’m watching an adventure movie or something
Its because of that amazing editing and incredible use of music. Astrobiscut is truly an underrated hidden gem of a channel
