Part or All of what you pay for your renal may be tax deductable as well
I might use this to get myself a newer Toyota Prius the ultimate gas car
Buy a bike then save for a car?

I nailed a $70 tip today... woohoo
$400 worth of sushi for an office party
Nice!!
I got a $59 tip today for delivering 6 pizzas and 20 bottle of waters
Nice
I delivered $500 of chipotle to an office and I got a $0 tip. No cash tip either. I was in disbelief
@@itsyourboimatt2576 Damn I though a $50 popeyes order with no tio was bad for me today
Yo.. I am currently needing to do SOMETHING.. I'm a momma of 3 and thought I was done for.. Thank you so MUCH. ❤❤🙌🙌
Depending where you live might want to see if they have gig car in your area

I like it. Had thought about doing this a year ago but figured the expense wasn't worth it. Thanks!
This info is priceless my bro! Thanks
Very insightful, I just started and wasn’t sure how to go about with the whole rental situation. Just moved to a big city from a small town in NM, so thank you!
Me too! which small town?
Lyft had a program that was better through GM. The car would pay for itself if you did the required pickups in the designated timeframe. If Doordash did something similar, I'd get a rental through them.
They only did that in the beginning to get drivers.
Love yo informational videos Bentley!!! Thanks for helping us dominate the game 💵💯
Thanks fam
I’ve got 3500 deliveries and my transmission just went out. So I’m about to be doing this. Thanks for the info.
just buy an older Toyota, their transmissions last for forever
I'm having a similar transmission issue which is why I'm looking towards renting
Did you do the program? How and how is it
Same here
Did you do it?
Great info - thanks for all you do
Man I just went thru the same situation. I had a 2013 Volkswagen CC with about 80,000 on it. Banged out right before the holidays and immediately hopped in a rental and been delivering w/ DoorDash while my insurance handles my loss.
Yo big help thanks Bent!
Lol I did this so many times. Even for Amazon flex. Used the rental for work and other things
if youre not able to make $100 a day doing doordash where I live should I still get a rental?
Tommy Hilhitta Beats is determine how much the rental is and how much you can make if it’s worth it with the other expenses like gas I’d also look into doing Uber if your gonna rent a car I’m not sure if you can make more that way
Tommy Hilhitta Beats no, it’s not worth it if your just paying for the rental. If you don’t live in a body town then you shouldn’t rent a car.
Thank you my g, needed info every video🔥🔥🔥 and I'm tryna get on da remix of that, riding through the city with my dash bag 🎒
Perfect video.! Answered all my questions.
Thank you very much for the very helpful breakdown !!!!
GREAT VIDEO BENTLEY THX
Good info thanks Bentley
Thanks for the info Bentley im thinking about renting with Hertz now.
Great content, man.
I needed this video!
Very good information here. Thanks. I've been worried about the rates and keeping up with the car rental payments.
You can rent a uhaul truck for $20 a day.
Thats true! 😂
But you’d be paying more in gas price for uhaul
Uhaul charges mileage.
Mileage would be awful as hell
Lol. No
With taxes and fees, I'm paying around 1000 dollars a month. And I have been driving a 2020 Camaro convertible since this summer. So far, I'm still making about 4200 a month. Working six days a week, 8-10 hours a day.
Renting ?
What company u rent from?
Could literally buy one for less a month
@@biggzacc2145 he’s lying... bro
@@davidlink8454 I guess it’s basically like overrated leasing if you don’t have the credit or resources for a car but yeah might as well buy the car yourself for that much
Yo this is crazy....I literally just got into a car accident yesterday and because of that I have no car to work with (door dash) so the fact that you just uploaded this is crazy coincidental.....I just don't have the money to upfront for the rental and my insurance doesn't cover it and in the time it's gonna take to go through the insurance of the guys who's fault it is, will take too long.
I was also involved in an accident when delivering for doordash on 9/11/20....I now have no car and in pains too...this video has helped
Hey luvv!! Enterprise Rent-A-Car has rates as low as 45 bucks a day. If you can just get your hands on 45 bucks or so you can Dash and get quick cash!!! Its like investment
@@bluetrees6388 plus 200 deposit and damage waiver/insurance.
Also you have to have a credit card
I had just bought the first car, hadn't even paid the first payment. 9 days after accident I had, I went back to the dealer that sold me the first car and with no down payment, I was able to get another vehicle. But now Geico is threatening to let me go if I don't let door dashing go.
It cones as a shock actually. It seems that if door dash, Lyft, uber and all the other delivery service that hire independent contractors go as a full company, then how would that be Okay? Wouldn't it be the same thing? Would the Insurance conpanies do it differently? Who would be responsible for our insurance then? Would it be us? Or the company we worked for? What about all the Pizza joints that have delivery service? How do they do it? The employee drives their own vehicle... I think all these vehicle insurance companies who say they won't insure anyone that is a people or food delivery person is not doing a good thing at all. I just don't know what to do. Though, I have cut back on my driving to only work 4 hours a day. If they make me quit door dash, then my car goes back to the dealer. That's all there is to it.
Yo Bentley. Thank you!
I bought an old corolla for cash for dashing, and have my Lexus as my back up plan. I think I'll start with that system.
The best DD UA-camr
thanks for this very informative video, much appreciated 💪
Good thing about this video I actually work for enterprises rental car in do Doordash on the side
Hertz works with doordash car rentals
Do it everyday! Monthly.... better deal. Save my mileage on my car. Less the food smell and spillage 💪🏾💰🏃🏾♀️
Exactlyyyy!!! I abuse the rental car....make a bunch of money and return it
Interesting .... I got a truck. I’m thinking about getting a rental car saving mileage on truck plus the rental car would have better MPG
I've done this about 4 yrs ago when I wrecked the car I was in. This helped me get what I needed and make the decision to buy another car brand new! Great info!!
Never buy a brand new car. Buy a 3 year or older vehicle so most of the depreciation has left.
Where do we find this program?
I'm in a jam and I don't know what to do, but I knew if I looked up rental cars pertaining to doordash ,Bentley would have showed up, and I'm grateful brother. Thx for this vid✌🏻
Im using a hyre car now while my car is down im glad I googled and found this at the time I was trying to figure out how I was gonna pay rent etc...its a good option for when your car is down
It really is
@donnel Jenkins How much are you paying a day/week with hyre??? Are you going to keep using it once your car is good?
Cool video bro big help!
glad you included that stuff at the end. Its so easy to get turned into a problem real quick. paying 1000 bucks a month for a car payment is massive and like you said you need to be making about 1000 a week to really make it worth it.
When I tried doing this, every car I got was "new" but its worth a mention at least in my area, every car was not what you'd expect from a rental car company, its like all the cars that have too many miles to get rented out anymore. The one I had the longest already had 80k miles on it and the inside was in rough shape, and it was only a model year old, or 2 actual years old.
Need to bring up the insurance and making sure you’re covered (hopefully through credit card ) also toll charges if you don’t have Pass
Not every city has toll ways on freeway exits.
Thank you
Did it last week and this week doing it. Those rentals only take 7 bucks in gas a day for me
Thank you so much for this video I am a full time Doordash driver and honestly hertz has helped me so much when I needed a car
How's it going so far?
watching this on a break. Thanks for all these vids, you've helped me get started. I'm in my second week and crushing the game. Dab break!
Thank You
I got into an accident renting a vehicle tomorrow
thanks for the very useful info here ... fact however is, if i'm not mistaken, Hertz no longer rents cars for long term to Doordash drivers ... or at least, not all of their outlets do that anymore ... (do they?) and their rates now (2 years after this video was published here) are also higher ...
another fact: a monthly payment of around $500 for buying a car (preferably new, or not too old at least) is about $20 / day, give or take ... while if we pay an average of @200 / week for a rental car, then it's going to cost about 50% or more, higher ...
of course, as mentioned here in this video, most if not all extra expenses to do with a rental car is covered by the rental company, while we'd have to pay for the expenses of our own car ourselves ... but since working for Doordash is a contract / self-employed job, then we can get deductions on the tax we pay at the end of the year ...
there are other pros and cons to this already very well talked about in the video, but one important thing that Doordash Driver has hinted at is the fact that if we don't have good credit, then it's unlikely we could qualify for buying a car from a reputable dealership ... so, ...
but the fact of the matter is, car rental companies rarely provide us with the type of car we want, let alone specific year/models of a the brands we prefer ... and even if they do, as said in this video too, it's unlikely we can keep it 'forever' ...
the above are both a bad as well as a good thing of course ... but what someone like me is after, is a hybrid or maybe even a full-electric small car ... do rental companies provide us with one of those kinds? and if they do, would they let us keep renting that (or a similar) one all the time?
once a few years ago, while working for Doordash, i did manage to rent a hybrid from a rental car company ... i wasn't supposed to pay for it because the guy who hit my own car was responsible for the costs ... but the hybrid car, (which was also too long and big for Doordash-ing btw!) although relatively new and fine with a great GPS system, also suffered from technical issues: whenever the car switched from the gas engine to the electric motor, the car shook noticeably and always gave me the feeling that something really bad and serious might happen! when i confronted the rental car company, i was treated rudely!
so, ...
YOU ARE THE BEST
I was gone rant a car for two week and do doordash during them times. And pay with my regular job money and eventually once I make a enough though doordash and postmate etc. I was gone use the money off them to pay the weekly payment with doordash or postmate
Been doing this for 4 months. Gotta catch up Bentley!
Which car rental did you use? How much are they charging you for the week?
thats awesome you got a car, congrats! my credit sucks too...
Jenny Baker my credit sucked and I was able to get a brand new car.....dealerships are dying and they will work with different credit situations
Yeah, car rental spots resell the car usually at 30,000 miles
actually this is true, but its also when they start using them for gig workers, so these cars hes talking about are the ones the rental company can't rent to clients anymore.
@@shiftonephoto ok
Great info. My car will be paid off soon and I can then park my shit and get a rental. Thank you Bentley 🤍
Hertz is in bankruptcy and has to get rid a lot of their fleet. Right now is the best time to rent from them.
Getting rid of excess inventory won't help your rental rate go down. They are declaring Chapter 11 so it is just a debt restructure bankruptcy. They aren't going out of business.
I was in an accident with a rental and was up and running the next day.
This is good to know
And you have to keep the rental car very clean also
Also prepare yourself in case they need you to bring the car back so that you could recharge for the deposit
Great vid, but still have a few questions. If you rent a car from Hertz to do doordash, do you need to purchase additional insurance from a company because you'll be conducting business in the car? Does Hertz take your doordash use into account when you rent from them, or do you rent from hertz through doordash? Or are you just doing a typical car rental on your own, but using the car for doordash?
~* Duddeee love your vidz... but you had an orb come in the back of your car at 10:28 !! :o !*~
Dang...I was really excited about using a rental car..til I looked them up in my area and the basic economy cars are like $1600 a month!!! Yikes. 😬
It should go down eventually. Rental companies sold most of their cars during covid so inventory is low which drives up prices.
If your in situation like mine yes. I have to put $1500 in for a new starter, new flywheel, and oil change.
☹
Way too much. Flywheels and clutches are about $200 in parts, starter is $60 to $80 with core charge, and oil change is $25. The labor time to do the starter is less than an hour and the clutch is about 3 to 4 hours. Your job should have cost you about $600 to $700 at most. You need to buy parts from Advance Auto Parts online with 20% discount and then find a local garage mechanic that can be trusted to work on your car. Usually garage mechanics charge $50 per hour labor whereas professionals will charge you $100 per hour. Finding a garage mechanic and buying your own parts will save you many hundreds of Dollars every year on repairs.
For me renting a car, if I have the spare money, benefits me using for uber x, eats and doordash. In addition I'd use it for long distance travel. Having to drive out of town every weekend for travel soccer, it's nice knowing I'm not responsible for the maintenance
good points ... but as far as i know, out-of-town car rental also adds to the cost ... 'unlimited mileage' apparently applies to in-town / county mileage i guess ... one better check with the rental company ...
Appreciate this video brother 💯 are you happy with your car from hertz jus asking I have heard good and bad storys about buying their vehicles?
I’m highly considering this option. I can rent in California and get that guaranteed pay. I tend to work daily, for around 6-8 hours. The only concern is it’s technically not allowed. I’m concerned putting a lot of mileage on the car would make them suspicious, but I guess I could tell them I drove up and down the coast lol
In my area the lowest rate would be $279 + gas. Not really feasible. I mean if I worked everyday, all day I guess it's better than being out on the streets but damn!!!!!
What city you in?
That's $40 a day...and if you work all day that $15 in gas...I work 6 hours yesterday and made $180. Its tough... but definitely doable.

Has the doordash dasher app been doing strange things the past 2 days for anyone else? Or is it just the North TX area? Similar thing with me today where I accepted a delivery got directions was headed that way & got notified that I missed a delivery opportunity & my order had dropped. My completion rate took a hit. Called door dash they said the order was canceled on the customer end but tbat shouldn't have dropped my completion rate 🤔

The Hertz site seems to only offer me a doordash option in Iowa??? I live in Northern CA. Any rentals I've found around here are about $90 per day. How are you guys getting these deals?

When I started doordash last year I was driving my Grand Cherokee V8 motor it was wintertime so it snowed some so I was able to get out with the Jeep but every month I put $1,000 away for another car it still was putting money in the Bank you got to put money away with this kind of job for that rainy day definite ten percent of what you make every month so I took that $6,000 and put it down on a 2013 Honda Fit from carvana hey 22000 Miles when I bought it for 16000 my car payment is 257 but up until a couple months I was paying an extra $1,000 a month to pay the car off I bought it last June and only owe 5,000 hoping to have it paid off by my birthday in November it's gotten slow right now certainly not like last year

@@fleas.8624 then you are limited on miles. With a rental it is unlimited mileage
So this is a added information for anyone say you rent a car from a rental place you pay the 200 and something plus the damage liability which then comes out to say $400 and something ...( I think it’s $25 a day for the damage liability) I am renting now from a rental place omg it’s good and bad soooo like he said you must and I repeat you MUST budget that car rental in so I have to make at least 800 and something or 1000 to be comfortable ... gas for your car rental and other grown people bills 💸
Or just buy a cheap 1k car ride it out until it goes and buy another. Same price a month as alot of rentals and may last you longer and you won't have to keep making payments
Is that what you are doing? Which car would you recommend getting?
I got a 2004 sante fe 4 cylinder I am over 2000 deliveries still runs good and way easier to get in and out of than a car when you are getting in and out 50 to 80 times a day I'd rather pay a little more in gas but be alot more comfortable
I average 100 to 150 miles a day for 2 years now and for 1000 you can't beat that
I bought a 2003 saturn vue to dash in. 120,000 mile 2,000 bucks. It's more then paid for itself. I can't believe how good a car it turned out to be. I keep wondering if it's the better car. LOL
I'm saving up for a 2k car now. I be damned if I run up the miles on my 2019
Hey Bently. How about leasing a car. Is that more cheaper than renting?
Tell me why I was sitting at a restaurant for 10 min waiting on an order but DoorDash sent 6 dashers who drove far asf to get to the store instead
@blackguy 2100 yep always happens when I'm waiting as well. How is it that I've been standing here, but everyone else just walks in and gets their order? Mind you, we don't know if they were waiting before we even showed up. It's just annoying especially if you're multi-apping or have a double order.
Maybe it has something to do with top dashers.. I think they're stealing the orders.
Answered all my questions, thanks so much. Honestly though, $1000 a month car payment ??
If you make $5,000 a month, the $1,000 is a nominal sun. Even if it was $2,000 a month it is not that bad.

I doubt it unless you are working like 75 hours. Fact is 200 a week is 800 a month and that’s insane for a car
This is very helpful in informative, I've been doing doordash for about 9 months now
And it's a lot of wear and tear on my little car, which is good on gas but my struts are shot, it's very uncomfortable to drive it all day
And I just know sooner or later it's going to wear my car out, and I'm very interested in renting one for my job
So this is great to hear, but I'm wondering if they are doing this program in all cities?
I had looked into this years back when I worked for Uber eats, which was a lousy sorry company
And I was aware of the fact that Enterprise was letting people rent cars for work, but it was not available in my city.
I live in the small city of Little Rock...
So I'm going to look into it, and that would be so helpful for my life, if I could get into a rental for my dashing.

Did you have to put any money down when you brought the car??
😃 OMG'sh you are my hero. I can start dashing agine 😄 haaaaa. Thank you thank you thank you..... 🥰
Could you do Lyft too?
Don’t do rentals because of the tax problem. You can’t claim the mileage deductible on a rental because thats only for personal vehicles. So if you do the math, it does not make sense financially to pay $1k a month for a rental then twice as much in taxes due to not being able to claim the mileage deductible. You’re better off buying a $10k car every year, in that case at least you can claim the mileage deductible and claim the cost of the entire car as a deductible as well, you’ll save thousands taking that route.
It’s just until you can get something better. I think two months max is ok
You can write the payments off on your taxes. If you rent it through uber you can.
Hertz here don't offer rentals here what states do?
You can't claim milage.
