I'm a top dasher but there's a lot of competition in my area so I got a bot. The bot has helped me a lot since I got it on Thursday. I get good orders. Gigshield sold it to me.
Also, I really like that I can choose how far I'm willing to drive for an order. I love that I don't have to camp outside of restaurants to get good orders.

I've recommended doordash bots by gigshield to all my driver colleagues and they've all seen an increase in earnings.

l've been doing DoorDash for a little over two weeks, and l've
been doing pretty well (aside from Black Friday through
Monday). I had the gigshield doordash bot the whole time
though, but didn't use it. Well today was the first day with it,
and I got nonstop high-paying orders from 12-8PM. Best day
I've had on DD since I started, for sure

I do agree my goals. Always 30 to 40 deliveries within a week with my disabilities. As most I cand I'm always gonna top Dasher. I sure I'm in a good area, the thing is. I'm right in the car now. Cause my car broke down and it's cost me more money. But the gas is good in the car and the mileage. Wise, but my phone messing up. There was a lot of things going on in the last couple of days that I could not make any money in the last 3 days and I started to know you like this and I was very upset. I'm trying to purchase me a car but that's my goal. I got 1 day To make at least 4 to 500 dolland finally got the phone's working correctly.. I listened I left in twenty four hours

I’m learning as I go, mistakes I’ve made so far are accepting without looking at the distance, distance is key right now. I had a wonderful $17.75 order but didn’t realize it was over 10 miles… took me a total of an hour from start to finish so in hindsight, it was not worth it.

    • @kesa7669
      @kesa7669 5 місяців тому +6

Yes!!! I might take that order ONLY IF that 10 miles takes me to another area with a lot of restaurants and opportunities. Otherwise, the order is really $17.75 for 20 miles because you have to drive back the busy area. Or, if I am far from home, Door Dash typically gives me a long dash but it brings me close to home at the end of my dash, so I am going that way anyway.

@@Integrity-Speaks when you see the big dollar amount, look directly underneath at the mileage. For example, if an order pays $7.75, just underneath it will be a smaller number like 5.2mil which indicates mileage. FYI, 5.2mil is an example and not the actual number you’ll see.

This is why logging metric data is so important when doing gig work. I see a lot of comments telling people to "never take anything under $5" but no one ever seems to be able to prove that it's "unprofitable." It's anecdotal and market dependent.
It reminds me in Moneyball when Pete and Billy try to drive home the point that in order to get wins, you need runs which translates to getting on base. "Getting on base" in this scenario means taking orders that still fit your metrics because it all regresses to the mean over time. No one gets rich waiting on unicorn orders like they wanna believe.

No one makes any money taking lowball offers with 2x the miles! Offers like $4 for 7 mi and $2 for 1.5 mi and $6 for 11 mi. And it goes like that ALL DAY LONG. I was taking everything and my offers never improved. If I got a $17 fir 12 mi it took me so far off the grid, I was on nothing but dirt road after dirt road after dirt road, got lost cuz no road had any road signs and the offers dropped like ton of bricks. I’d start heading out of there back my town that only gives me shitty offers and they kept trying to keep me stuck out there offering the usual $4 fir 8 mi or worse! I’d drive 80 miles to Orlando just to see if offers get any better in a large population.

I agree with you. I'm a shooter of all points. When I clock in, I take 1,2,3 All day long and I actually make between $50-$75 for 3hrs. Pending on the day of the week and hot spot area. Bently, very often get orders for $2.00- 2.75 some days. I've realized, the payout depends on a dasher geographical area. But I also go with the mindset that even if there is no tip, it could be a cash tip,or that that may have been that person's only money for that day and they may not have had money for a great top or any tip at all.

Also, if I ever take a order with a delivery far away, I hit 'pause' and drive back to a busy area and then 'resume dash' so I don't have to decline orders and hurt my acceptance rating.

I take those $4.50 going 2 miles from McDonalds. It gets your AR up. The next order will be the $30 from a good Japanese restaurant. You take the 1 pointers, the thank you from DoorDash is good. The problem is you take that $3.50 going 2 miles at McDonalds and they are having a bad day and can't get the order out. Unassigning can become a problem. It can become a guess as to which 1 pointer still scores.

Usually, people schedule ahead of time if they live in an area where it is not busy all the time. So you can't just dash at any time, you have to schedule your time slots since the app doesn't allow you to dash when it's not busy.@@Hvyweight84

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but i havent started yet and probably will start tomorrow. Say you get an order & you are almost to the chic fil a for example, but then another order pops up, do you deliver the chic fila order and then go and get the other order, or do you pick up the other order on the way to dropping off the 1st order which was chic fila? I guess you would have to weigh how long the wait at the 2nd restaurant could be, and also how far the deliveries are from each other but im just wondering how many orders should you have in your car at the same time. Like I'm just scared of messing up on my first day. Money is great and all but i just want to do a good job at all that I do. Sorry if it's a terrible question. Maybe I'm just over thinking things

DD should pay $1/mile + customer tip. Therefore if it comes in for 10 miles, pay should be $10+customer tip. Likewise if the order comes for 0.9miles, then DD pays 90c for that trip + customer's tip.
Also, tips should be a minimum $5 with an additional $1 for every additional mile above 5 miles

I think that DoorDash try’s to give you an average hourly rate, so taking a couple smaller orders does usually line you up for a couple of other bigger orders, to give you your hourly average. Then you get in a flow. When you stop it resets and you might not even get one order.
