A great review of a watch I've never seen before. I think that at 37mm, it's a perfect watch for most gents who wear a suit for work, slipping under a cuff easily and with some nice complications. I would say that bracelet is pretty close to what I think of as a 'Coffin' Link bracelet. Thanks for the video.👍🏻👍🏻
You easily became my favorite YT Channel! You're videos are sick! Even when I don't like the watch (can this really happen?) I see your videos instantanily! You have those filming angles just perfect and have that gift of selling a watch to someone just by making a simple 7 minute video! Keep up with the good work! You rock at it! Greetings from Portugal!
You're terrifically bonkers. There are some hidden gems out there from the likes of PP & AP and this is one of them. There's something jarring about the whole look of the watch, but I still like it.
Fantastic review and good sense of humor, hope there are more reviews like this! I’m really sick of seeing Rolex SS professional models and another Nautilus review!
The 5055 in white gold is not identical. It does not have crown guards. The numerals and indices are white gold, not printed like the Neptune and the hands are exposed white gold whereas the neptune are white coated. How do I know? I am wearing a 5055-010 right now.
I really enjoyed your vid on this interesting watch even though I can't afford it and it wouldn't suit me. There's a wealth of knowledge, history, design and art to discover in the watch world if people would only get passed the half dozen or so we all seem to focus on.
Don't look, but people are complaining about it's size. Not me, with my small wrists. really cool to see a watch Ive never even heard of. I enjoyed this episode a lot.
Damnit, now I want a Neptune. Maybe not this specific reference, but I want a Neptune. This watch is a good example of how certain quirky elements can cancle out each other, resulting in a strangely coherent design that grows on the beholder. Maybe that's why the Lange Odysseus starts to gain more appraisal. Greetings from Germany
Great review, thanks. Normally I indeed WOULD say 37mm is too small, but looking at it on your wrist, yeah it's nice. Water resistance is lousy, right? Still... love to have one if I could afford it.
it is a great watch. one of my favourites. i wear mine outdoors like a rolex.. sailing, swimming, steams rooms and saunas. more robust than other pateks and some other sport watches. pateks are not that robust tbh. this one is not showy and more old school/old fashioned size.
I don't hate it. The dial layout actually suits this better than the 5712. Even willing to overlook those hands if... (and yes, this rando on YT is suggesting I know better than PP) the whole watch wasn't polished. I feel like it would look so much better if only the bezel and the case flanks were polished. Imagine brushed lug hoods flowing into an all brushed bracelet with subtle polished beveled edges... Am I crazy here, no wait... don't answer that.
Most of these are listed for $25k plus. I think the bracelet looks better on the inside. The opposite side of the polished beads of rice are flat and brushed.... looks timeless Make the watch look modern and sporty. The polished side of the bracelet looks very dated.
Seeing the bracelet on the inside, brushed, makes you think what if.... it would bring the shape more into focus. Now the links have a melting effect if that makes sense. I like you exploring the other watches. You don’t seem to be the guy following the herd
I had one...for 18 months and patek bought it back. Lots of issues with dial, case, movement and so forth. Add to that the horrendous Patek NYC service center, and it is an absolute disaster. Shame too, could have been a nice watch. But don't forget the cheap stamped dial, the cheap stamped bracelet, the cheap bent metal fold-over piece, and you have a watch that pales in comparison to the Vacheron Overseas from the same period. I did come back to patek and grabbed a 5712. Much better piece.
I don't know...If I objectively consider this watch by removing the manufacture and my personal taste in design (which this is similar to) I personally don't really think this is that great? Especially for its price. That beveled thick bezel (urghhhh), the unbalanced dial, obtrusive crown guards, and that bracelet....that's ridiculous looking. Wish you did a review on one of timetitans less expansive, more interesting vintage watches. Great video btw though!
Available to the masses lol.... waitlist 50 years... ill be really old by then... and yes pass it on to the next generation after 5 years of wear :D PP and Lolex are jokes!
Some of the Neptunes are, how can I say this nicely?......Horrible. But not this one; I wouldn't buy it, the watch is not for me, but I'd be happy to see one on somebody else.
Dial is interesting. Not ugly but not gorgeous either. Bracelet is really ugly. I wonder what it would look like on a strap, might be a winner on a strap
I know it’s blasphemy, but I’ve never really been a fan of PP. Aside from a couple models, most of the line just isn’t my cup of tea. Everything from the sub-dials to the bracelets, the lugs to the numbers, i just don’t like anything that is core to the PP design language. On the other hand, I feel the exact opposite about FPJ, ALS and IWC. I really, really like everything about almost all of their designs.
Your videos are some of the most visually pleasing in all of the watch-youtube space. And thank you for reviewing a Patek that isn't a Nautilus.
My pleasure! Thank you.
Any watch with a micro-rotor despite how ugly it is, makes me like it.
I feel that.
I’ve literally had 5 of these with the first one in 2003 for $7,300. It is a very comfortable!
I actually love the bracelet!
Dude, you’re terrific. Thank you for introducing us to this watch

You're too kind. Thank you.

Thanks for the review. I didn’t know this watch even existed!
Great video. I’m off to buy one now
Go get it.
How am i only finding this channel now? What fantastic reviews!
It’s never too late.
Absolutely love it. The size is perfect and the design is original, well to me it's seems original.
Hidden gem.
Fits both the watch and the channel.
Agreed.
"Get another watch you weirdo!". That, in every case. In sum "It's not my taste at all, but hell it's well made", motto for life...
That's most strikingly legible dial I've ever seen!
Great video again, and thank you for the excellent message/quote/bottom_line_of_the _day... Agree with every word (again!!)...
Fantastic review and good sense of humor, hope there are more reviews like this! I’m really sick of seeing Rolex SS professional models and another Nautilus review!
Same
wow, what a surprise. love it! i honestly think it gives the 5712 a run.
If I had money this is the kind of watch I would love to buy and collect. Great video as always!
do you mean if you had “the money” then this is what you would buy? Or are you implying that you literally have no money at all
@@Utoob8 "the" money 😂 Ya got me
"Weird ass Neptune", I like it!
I could buy this rn for about 16'500 Swiss Francs (about 17'500 USD) Is it a nobrainer???
The reference 5055 in white gold with a leather band is identical and a lot better choice! Elegant and versatile!!

Interest in this watch sharply rose after one of the more recent tim mosso ‚off the cuff‘ podcasts 😃
Don't look, but people are complaining about it's size. Not me, with my small wrists. really cool to see a watch Ive never even heard of. I enjoyed this episode a lot.
Haha. Thanks, Michael.

As ever, I came for your philosophy! The watch review was just a bonus 👍
Man I wish everyone hates this watch with a burning passion so I may have a chance at owning this
Not before I get my hands on one 😉
Quotes worth on the wall of every watch enthusiast that last part 😇👍
Great review, thanks. Normally I indeed WOULD say 37mm is too small, but looking at it on your wrist, yeah it's nice. Water resistance is lousy, right? Still... love to have one if I could afford it.
Great Video! Unfortunately, that Dial is too cluttered for Me 😅
Hey I just bought an old Zenith Defy from Time Titans via eBay - awesome seller would do business again for sure.
it is a great watch. one of my favourites. i wear mine outdoors like a rolex.. sailing, swimming, steams rooms and saunas. more robust than other pateks and some other sport watches. pateks are not that robust tbh. this one is not showy and more old school/old fashioned size.
Wow this is one of my favorites !
love the band
One of your best reviews. You're getting to be quite the philosopher.
Only "getting to be"?
Interesting pick! Enjoyed it
I love that dial layout in the Nautilus, not in this model, I would not wear it if I had it.
I don't like a single thing about that watch but I enjoyed the video regardless
Glad to hear it

me with a digital Casio: that Patek really is a good deal!
Awesome Watch!! One day, I'll afford a PP.
I hope so.
What a great review
As always, very good video.
Thanks!
damn this is my grail, saving up for one right now.
I'd put this on a black shiny crocodile, but honestly I never thought it was ugly. The bracelet however--nightmarish.
Dude I would have loved to see this watch on some other straps
Could only work on customer straps.
I wish they could revive this... And make a rubber strap for it as well
mOM...moMm.. the man in the screen told me a 37mm watch is too big for me
Has the same vibe as mark 18. But it’s Patek!
6:43 👌🏻
Yuge kidneys.
Is my next Watch.... 💯👌😎

I know you're a bracelet guy but I think this would be better suited on a nice leather strap
We'll never know!
Seeing the bracelet on the inside, brushed, makes you think what if.... it would bring the shape more into focus. Now the links have a melting effect if that makes sense. I like you exploring the other watches. You don’t seem to be the guy following the herd
Because I'm not here for money or subscribers. I just want to share.

37mm???? Really? I would like it at 39/49mm
Seems the nautilus power reserve with a changed frame
the lugs are too widely spaced and bezel too broad for this watch head imo.
Wunderbar!

That's good feedback! I'd love to go deep on an usual vintage piece.

I would just simply put it on a nato
Can't being that the bracelet is integrated
@@Brunomoreno87 I think it’s supposed to look like it’s integrated but I’m pretty sure it’s not
Well this looks like cheap 20$ flea market find
Now it will no longer be a “deal ”
🙏
Would consider if it was 40mm. 37mm is just too small
Oh, there you are.
Consider having an Asian wrist like me. 37 is perfect. BB58 at 39 is as big as I can go really. Classic Datejust looks perfect.
CLM
IHAVE THIS WATCH!!!LOVE IT!!! Please leave me as one of the lucky owners!
0:40 my exact thoughts, i gotta admit...xD
Some of the Neptunes are, how can I say this nicely?......Horrible. But not this one; I wouldn't buy it, the watch is not for me, but I'd be happy to see one on somebody else.
Please review the omega seamaster 300m 42MM
Find me one to review and I’ll do it.
If only the bracelet weren't that fugly..
Dial is interesting. Not ugly but not gorgeous either. Bracelet is really ugly. I wonder what it would look like on a strap, might be a winner on a strap

You're lucky not to like PP. It'll save you money and heartache.
if only it was a 39mm~
Oh, you.
*Tremendous* kidneys
Great channel. Outstanding video. Ugly watch.
'Steel luxury watch' is an oxymoron in my opinion - at this level it should be precious metal.
