I miss 3d Rayman games. Ever since Rayman went the skylanders route (had a spin off franchise that eventually removed the main character until they were a guest in their own spin-off game) I've been missing the guy. The rabbids are okay but they were just too annoying and felt like a discount minions at the time. Sure rayman legends is around and its fun, but it was more based on the first rayman game, not the 2nd , 3rd and racing/arena games; which felt more based on exploration of a 3d world.
I'm kind of glad this Rayman game specifically didn't get released, it looked like it was trying to rip off every popular game's mechanics of the time. It doesn't look nor sound like a Rayman game, plus the fact that they were reusing assets from the King Kong game they were also working on.
This looks like a lot of fun. They were clearly onto something here with the gameplay. Really wish they just delayed it and stuck to the original plan, because this could have been a fantastic Rayman game if they weren't so focused on making it a Wii launch title. As a sidenote, is the music actually playing in-game, or was it edited into the video? Because if they are, it's great to actually hear those prototype songs in-game, playing in the levels they were meant to be used in all along.

I know this maybe a bit of a stretch. But if someone were to find out what the heck the original story was to this game. Perhaps some dedicated modders could one day take this prototype build and create the game ubisoft originally envisioned. or atleast something close. But with how unfinished this prototype is. Odds aren't good.

That definitely seems like it would’ve been likely because obviously it’s an iconic move, but in both this prototype, and the leftover attacks you can re-activate in the retail release, there’s no distance attacks like the fist throwing to be seen, wasn’t anywhere in the early trailers either, the closeup attacks are freaking badass but I AM surprised by the lack of it seeing how tied to the character it is.

Can't believe most of the SFX from early development were left unused on the retail disc
Makes it feel like a legit level with the sound back
I honestly wouldn't mind playing this today. Seems like quite a bit of fun.
"Exterior gameplay"
**goes inside Rabbid ship**
Well the map is FPP_Exteriur which has merged FPP_Factory.wow along with other .wow in his .wol
It's so much better with sound effects ! ^^
Rayman 4 a game that should have been but sadly didn't. 🥺

The OST is insane

@@TheZombieKiller when and how did did people manage to enable sound? Back when it leaked we all thought it was silent
@@TurboPikachu hotpocketyummy patched it with the audio data found in the final game's files, in an archive folder for this version of the game
Ubisoft really fucked up not sticking with the original plan, this fucking demo looks more fun than the actual game.
Holly Hell, there's sound effects and music!
It honestly continues to amaze me.
I want to get my hands on this full game so bad
It would be cool if rayman, rabbid peach, and rabbid Mario fought those rabbids in the dlc
Damn shame we didnt get this.
I'm hoping one day the Rabbids will be milked dry.

Bueno tomaria mucho tiepo
Damn, how did you manage to make the levels from leak work, I can't seem to get it😅
Unused music? If so, could you upload it? It's really freakin good.
How did you turn the sounds on?
They were found on the retail copy of RRR, all they had to do was chuck them in and boom sounds working

Nope, just melee. For ranged attacks you need to pick up a weapon.

This demo looks more fun than the dumbass Raving Rabbids mini games. wtf Ubisoft?
Calling this "Rayman 4" was shady and misleading; 👎
But it is?
What?
This is literally from the Rayman 4 source code leak you dingbat
It is Rayman 4, this is the leaked prototype of it before it got turned into a minigame collection
