Bewitched-hands down! Can’t imagine where I could use it & do it justice. But, BEAUTIFUL!!
Good News for everyone
That Hidden Sapphire is nuts! I may have to find a space for it. Kinda looks like F&B Hague Blue.
I love your selection of CSP. I wish I had seen Summers Day before I ended up with a light avocado.
I’m madly in love with chimichurri, but Bewitched is spectacular.
Great video! Excited to try out the CSP!
Perspective looks very nice. I was going to paint my living room and halls in my condo Stongington Grey but I might have to now reconsider
I think this news is very exciting too! I would love it if you would also review Stoneware, Crisp Linen, and Skipping Stone. My one complaint about CSP colors is that I find their descriptions to be fascinating, but they don’t help explain undertones (I don’t want to accidentally paint my whole house yellow, again).
I love golden tread! I am looking at a small 1920's house and I think this color is perfect for most of the rooms downstairs.
Love the suspence 😆
There are definitely a few I am drawn to like Plaster of Paris, Evening Skyline, ChimiChuri, Perspective but my fav is Hidden Sapphire, I have a tall wooden cupboard that I have been wanting to paint in a standalone jewel tone colour...and I think this will work, very excited to try it out.
Wow, I love all these colors. Lost Locket is a revelation to me. I’ll probably use something like golden thread for some Pax units. But my absolute favorite is Summer’s Day. Green is my favorite color and Summer’s Day just looks like the color green I see in my head when I think of green. In fact, I bought a sample a month or two ago and now is the time to paint my kitchen base cabinets. Ahhhh…
I loove Perspective and Bewitched. What's your go-to formula?
Yes. Yes I am as excited as you are. I only had Aura (Sea salt) in my tiny kitchen. I’m a Regal fan, but I love their CSP.
I think that green chili whatever might be my green. I painted a bathroom in my first house that color back around 2001 and I loved it and can't remember the color name. But now I want to pai t our dining room that color and powder room. But wondering what color to put in the adjoining living space.. thinking something like a beige color.
bewitched!!!! love it!
Can you recommend a few colors for a laundry room or any room without windows?
I used bewithed and raphael on my house trim and posts on the back south facing deck last summer. I used kendal charcoal on my doors and garage door. the main body was painted georgian brick which matches the metal roof. i couldn't afford to change the roof colour so I matched the house to it. I live in the kootenay mountains in BC. The house is surrounded by 100ft cedar and fir trees and the front of the house faces north. I love the new look. do you have a suggestion for a light colour to use on the north facing porch walls? Thats my project for this spring. Thanks. Love your videos
I’m so excited about this!! My favorite is Chimichurri. Plaster of Paris I must admit has me curious.
So excited for the news! Just moved to a new home and have been drooling over the CSP colors. Plaster of Paris and Deep Sapphire calling my name tonight.
oops...Hidden Sapphire
Evening Skyline and Hidden Sapphire are my beauties. Bewitched is also interesting and complex.
hhmm bewitched. giving that one a second look!
Super! 😀
Would you ever make a palette based on paint name? Coastal, calming, nature
Love that idea!
Great idea!!
Hidden Sappire is GORGEOUS is small doses.
Perspective and Evening Sky remind me of a black and white photo. I think if I was decorating in a monotone black and white theme with a colorful throw and pillows as accents and a green plant and some art with color and a nice area rug they would work well. Otherwise I prefer Bewitched and Summer's Day! I also don't mind the pale pinkish color of Lost Locket. I also like Ally's Earring and Plaster of Paris--both nice soft whites. I love the Sapphire and Gold color too...those would be fun to try. Maybe paired together?
Perspective looks awesome. How is CSP different?
I think I would still stick with Aura for these. Would love for you to do videos on any of my three favorites from the palette: First Crush, Sundress, and Picnic Basket.
Hi. What do you think of Sherwin Williams Waterscape? It's almost a match for my 1950' rally 60's mint kitchen countertops!
Also what do you think of their Dark Night? That might look good on our front door with red- rust brick.
I used Hidden Sapphire on my kitchen island and it looks great. It is a happier color than a hale navy if that makes sense.
Summer's Day is lovely - but the one that caught my eye was Lost Locket - thinking entry way - possibly on the Anaglypta wall paper that is hung from the chair rail to the base board. Also Golden Tread (should that have been Thread?) is just the stuff of nightmares.
So I like this colour story. Perspective is an interesting colour. It's great these are available in the other paints. As it should be. I prefer Aura, however I used Regal recently ('cause you said it's been reformulated) and I didn't enjoy the experience and I felt it took more effort. Perhaps after using Aura for so long, my perspective is jaded. The end result is gorgeous and people are envious of my choice 😁The price points between Regal & Aura aren't that far apart (in Canada btw), so for a few dollars more I'll buy Aura.
I need a video on paint colors in ads vs reality. Fell in love with Pottery Barns 2023 lookbook and SW Needlepoint Navy. Brought the sample home. No way is the vibrant blue in the ads, this dull grey Navy sample. Is the only way to achieve that look with another color? Or to have professional camera lights making my walls glow with glorious color?
I am wondering if you have ever covered "How to ask questions in a paint store?" For instance, I LOVED the 2022 color October Mist and put it in my entry and living room ( I have oak on banisters, moldings, doors etc.. and the space is high vaults) but, I didn't love the rest of that pallet. So now I am struggling to find colors for the rest of my house, I feel I'm just not asking the right questions to pick other colors at our paint store. Thanks to your channel I found October Mist and I watch each of your videos to learn, but its just not clicking and for this newbie it's just plain daunting! Any tips and tricks?
James, I’m usually not into the greens you like but I really like Summers Day. Who knew? But my favorite is Hidden Sapphire.
Isn’t it gorgeous?!
@@thepaintpeople Gorgeous is the perfect word.
Summer's Day makes me happy. If I put it anywhere in my house, I'd be too busy staring at the walls to get any work done.😅
Isn't Plaster of Paris also called Ballet White? Why do some paint companies give the same paint different names?
They’re slightly different actually!
Hi can you put the name of the colors in your description box please it’s much easier for reference. Thanks
Surprisingly I like Bewitched the best.
James, since you are ever-so-fond of Plaster of Paris, how come you didn't use on the walls of you current house 🏡
Because I no longer have floor to ceiling windows to pump light in haha. I opted for something a bit lighter and more airy this time :)
I really need help with ORANGE!! 🍊 Aiming for a darkish green/navy teal palette with pops of rich orange (not yellow orange) (or red orange) (or adobe) (help) ☺
I love the blue. Too dark for my bathroom I think. I am going with Sea Star probably
You mentioned in another video that you liked using "Ben". I am not familiar with it. What do you like about it and don't like? Also Evening Skyline, Oh Oh ( as Lisa Holt would say) Love It! Hidden Saphhire, could this be my new bathroom color?
I am guessing BenjaminMoore lifted the Aura Only restriction on the Color Stories Palette because a majority of people were not willing to shell out $88 + dollars per gallon for the Aura paint.
Sad that they discontinued Ben in flat! 😢
Do you speak french? You said mauve so well.
Not so much! 😁
Thanks but I'll stick with Maria Killam. The name might as well be a number as far as I'm concerned
James... Are you sure you aren't spreading FAKE NEWS about the Color Stories palette now available Regal and Ben? I asked my BM dealer about that and they were clueless.
Fuck no!
Dumb question
