I went through the carwash without any issues in my 2023 Highlander without turning anything off. This is something I hadn't thought of, however. Thanks for the tips!
Thank you a thousand times for telling me how to turn off parking assist. I thought I'd just have to live with it every time I drove in or out of my garage. Thank you. And I appreciate all the other helpful videos you've done about Toyota features. Very helpful!!
RCTA is especially nice when my Prius is parked between two pickups or SUV’s where there is not much way to see approaching side traffic when backing out. A higher car allows more visibility
Very helpful - well done, thank you. The 2024 CHR in New Zealand (no longer available back in the USA) has a magical mute button displayed on the multimedia display when the parking sensors are barking at you ..... quick tap and all is silent - the yellow flashing lights are all still operating however without the noise - they're no longer irritating. Thus it's not necessary to disable the parking assist to eliminate the noise in our down under cars.
I found your video while trying to find something else. I'm in the market for a new 2025 Toyota Camry and I haven't been able to find a good video explaining the features of the Premium Plus Package that aren't included with the Premium Package. This might be a good video that nobody, as far as I can tell, has made yet that would help new buyers deciding if the extra $950 from the Premium Package. Specifically, these features: Traffic Jam Assist (TJA), * Front Cross-Traffic Alert (FCTA), * Lane Change Assist (LCA), * Panoramic View Monitor (PVM), * Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automatic Braking, * Rear Cross-Traffic Braking (RCTB), * and Driver Monitor Camera.
On 2024 RAV Prime XSE I notice that in the garage the sensors indeed scream at all the flotsam and jetsam nearby, but the indication also has a "OK = Mute Temporarily" that I haven't had time to play with yet. It seems like it addresses this garage problem though.
I recently bought a 2024 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Platinum. This is my first hybrid. My question, is it safe to take a hybrid thru a high pressure car wash (I.e brushless car wash)? What about under carriage wash? Will the high pressure wash affect any of the exterior cameras or the radar for the radar assisted cruise control?
Recent purchase of 2020 Sequoia Limited...Is there no way to adjust the volume of the parking sensors? I thought this might be a dealer only adjustment but they cannot determine how to do this. I CAN adjust sensor volume on our 2019 Highlander. Could this have been one of those covid hardware supply issues at this time? Any help appreciated
It’d be nice if you addressed Park assist automatic parking with upscale models like the capstone, as I cannot find any research about the subject if it has it or not
Question: I have a 2024 grand Highlander hybrid. I want to add a bike rack so I can carry my e-bike around. There seems to be a hitch on it (there’s a hitch hole with a rubber cover) so does this mean all I need to buy is a bike rack to fit into that hitch?
If you have a hitch but no wiring, you have the "accessory mount". If there is a plug for wires, you have a hitch. Either way, you have what you need to add a bike rack or any hitch mounted accessory. Toyota says the weight limit is 200 pounds on the thing.
@TrainerSteveClifford Oh, I just realized I only go into the type of carwashes that are touchless. Where you pull in and it just sprays your car without touching it. Of course, it won't work for other types.
Your headline was how to get through a car wash and then you spent all the the time saying what you should do "in your particular situation". My particular situation was a car wash. You didn't address that! All you had to say is if you are going through a car wash turn off these things. Instead you talked about your garage and what your feelings were. Just tell us which items to turn off in a car wash, please, pretty please....

I am so glad that I do not have to read the 300 page owners manual on my new RAV 4
lol! Glad I saved you the hassle!

I have heard of people having an issue with their lift gate popping open when going through a car wash, how do we stop that? I have a ‘24 GHHL
Very informative
Very informative and helpful, thank you! Are there any special procedures for taking a 2025 Crown Signia Limited an automatic car wash?
@@pamc1189 other than what I cover in this video, there only thing is to turn off the automatic wipers if you use that feature

You are Awesome !!!
What sensors need to be turned off when using a bike carrier in the tow hitch?
The one labeled “PKSB” in the settings
Cant we just turn the car off in the car wash to avoid the sensors going crazy?
Just make sure you disabled the automatic parking brake

Yes. These settings stay
I turn off the automatic tailgate so it doesn’t open in the car wash
