Steve, how far away can you be to remote start the vehicle with the key fob? Is it run through Bluetooth or the normal four foot perimeter?

I own a Corolla LE. and when I turn LTA on it feels like I have a front passenger driving the car with me. It bothers me so much that I've given up using that feature. Once while highway driving, it pulled me to the right out of my lane and I had to pull back to avoid running off the road. I also don't always drive with both hands firmly pressed on the steering wheel and don't know anyone who does. I think it is a bad feature for cars and I simply can't trust it.

While the car is in motion can you damage switching from ECO mode to SPORT mode?

When I bought my used vehicle I was having problems logging into the toyota app so the dealer used my wife's as an example. I then couldn't do anything to log into my truck. But Toyota care said to have my wife delete the truck from her toyota app. Once she did that I was able to quickly log in to the entertainment system and then do the hard reset as shown in a different vehicle. Thanks for your help.

This doesn't work for me. Carplay keeps restarting and won’t allow me to see the map. It won't disconnect completely from my phone, so if I need GPS, I’m in trouble. I shutdown my phone and Carplay continued to restart. Sometimes it says my PIN has expired, but the screen to enter the PIN closes before I can enter more than the first number.

Thanks for sharing this, I got a rav 4 recently and was searching all over for how to turn on auto lock. I have to disagree with your statement about no Toyotas in the US having auto lock. My last car was a 2006 Toyota Corolla (purchased in Los Angeles at a normal Toyota dealership) and the doors would automatically lock after 2 minutes if all the doors were closed. I loved it because I didn’t have to worry about forgetting if I locked my doors, though I did get my keys locked in the car once or twice because of it.

how do you get that screen? I bought a 2022 Raw 4 hybrid and the start screen I get is red with 5 circles that contain audio, phone, and 3 more. Ive never seen the screen your showing.

Literally jumped started my 2023 crown platinum and with a autowits and I got everything from hybrid system malfunction to low brake power to the ultrasonic parking sensor malfunction jump started it from the points also parking brake unavailable guess it’s going to the dealership in 3 hours but if it can’t be jumpstarted without tripping a whole bunch of lights, then it’s a car that’s not for me

I bought a new Venza 2024 two weeks ago, and the car never showed the language menu or the QR code. The reset is not greyed out. I called Toyota Brand Management and my dealer, and everyone was clueless about what I asked them. I am an IT programmer, so my gut feeling tells me the issue is not a module failing on the car. It is something like you describe: my car is assigned to another account, or I don't have the trial period assigned either. I wish all Toyota dealers or customer service were like you. I am resigned to not having those services. I bought a Garmin GPS, and my phone can detect if I am in an accident and call 911. I will get a service similar to the old-time Lojack, something that is current. Having all these issues with a brand that is supposed to be the best is a shame. Keep your information coming is helpful, and by the way, I subscribed to your channel.

Unfortunately this didn't work for me and going through heck trying to get a different user added. Mines a used Tundra and youd think the dealership would automatically delete the previous owners profile and put it back to factory settings. Someone else recommended unhooking the battery for 30 minutes so i guess ill try that

Thank God YES! <3 my new corolla hybrid but hate those extra features. I went through the entire settings on the touchscreen, but didn't realise there was a whole other bunch of settings there. Switched this off, also the thing that beeps at me when I've been driving for a while, and even managed to turn off the auto lane assist thing. Thank you for this.

This video is misleading. At least to me it implies it's possible to do while car play is on. I already knew that you can simply run it through the Bluetooth built into the car. The problem is while carplay is active. Fix your title it's clickbait

Does the parking assist cause the reverse backup beep? If I shut that off on a 2019 prime will that incessant beeping stop?

My 2025 Corolla xse CC is way too intrusive. Go over a big bump, it slows down after the bump. Approach a turn on the freeway, it slows down to what it feels is a safe speed. Meanwhile the cars behind aren’t expecting this and damned near rear end me. How do you disengage these ridiculous nanny devices?

How can I add other drivers to allow them to save navigation destination and Home location? I can only see for primary driver.

I found this video while I learn about my 2022 Highlander LE. It has a manual radio tuner just above the right-side interior temperature button. It looks like Toyota listened to the complaints.

My carplay gps audio stopped and the on screen on/off volume will not turn on the sound??

Happy to say this worked on my RAV4, but not immediately; after a few minutes a grey perpendicular bar came up on the left hand side of the map, and in that bar were the volume controls. Thank you!

I bought a 2024 4Runner two weeks ago, and I got into a left turning lane and wanted to be sure I hit the sensor for the traffic light so it would know another car was in the lane.... and while doing so there was a car in front of me fully stopped. So , I was rushing into the lane. Now, I know I would have had no problem stopping in time, but the car ON IT'S OWN locked up the brakes. It was very surprising, and if there was a car behind me it would have hit the back of my car. So, in my view, this brake assist is very dangerous.

Hello, When I view my messages through Facebook messanger on my Android auto is there a way to go back to the previous screen other than pressing that keypad looking button?? Also, I'm not getting text message or messanger alerts coming through my Android auto. How do I enable that? Thank you.
