This wouldn't be so bad if they gave us a couple of options for the sound. My 2025 corolla hybrid has kind of a whah-whah sound that is really annoying. If it was a single pitch it wouldn't be nearly as annoying. I wish I wouldn't have bought the car and won't buy another in the future if it has the same sound. Just make it sound like an engine already. Seriously Toyota, recall this garbage.

I'll tell ya' , EVERY TIME I step out of my vehicle this friggin' thing goes 'beep-beep-beep-beep'. The most annoying SHT, especially if you leave for work very early or arrive home very late. AGAIN, these people are such GENIUSES and yet possess very little common sense. There are ABSOLUTELY NO audible alerts on the dashboard WARNING LIGHTS. Wouldn't THAT make so much more sense to implement??? If your oil is LOW, engine temperature is BEGINNING to go up OR air is being lost in a tire and you simply don't notice it visually, you still have the redundancy of an AUDIBLE alert that would be absolutely life saving for YOU and the VEHICLE. So AGAIN, these people are so BRILLIANT and yet at the same time, so DUMB.

if you do this enough times you will mess up your engine big time. most of the wear of your engine occurs on startup and with you stopping and starting the engine that much and that quickly. your going from a cooler engine to full mast very quickly. This can lead to hot and cold spots in the engine which can cause premature wear. also stopping and starting that quickly doesn't allow for enough oil pressure to build every time to coat every part of your engine. Hybrids don't build oil pressure immediately. You would also be putting wear on your hybrid components and if your vehicle has one: your starter. not very worth it for 3 miles a gallon. your better off just using regen down the hills and only using a bit of gas to make it uphill in combination with whatever charge your hybrid has left in the battery.

Work Around: I'm using a Samsung S22 Ultra Voice Commands If Spotify is playing thru Android Auto and you want to increase/decrease Volume 1. Hey Toyota 2. Increase Volume Volume increases, Spotify is paused, and the radio starts playing 3. Hey google 4. Continue Spotify picks up where it left off. 4. Next Plays the next song in the list 4. Play Spotify Play another song not sure if a completely different list I can't figure out a command which will allow me to play my Spotify play list? Tried the ones I've seen online but they don't seem to work. They send me to an artist or song and not the playlist. Update 3: You need to link your Spotify in the Google Assistant Settings on your phone. (Search them in your Phones settings app) On Android: Go to settings and Do a search for Google Assistant Go to the Google Assistant Settings --> Scroll down to Music and tap on Spotify. Add Spotify Link to your music list. Make sure it is selected when process is completed. Log into your account and it'll start working right away. It will consistently work if you are a Spotify premium subscriber. Otherwise, after the 1st time accessing Spotify, you will have to reboot your phone to see how it will work with a premium subscription. 2nd Spotify, access without reboot, will shut down most commands and features. Tip: use "song list" if you are having issues with "playlist" in your vocal commands.

Her device is the priority source. Is there a way to get the system to auto connect to my phone when I am the only one in the car? Currently,every time, I have to go into sources, select my phone, connect, and re-select my options, if I want to enable phone, music, and Android auto. This is a pain. My 2016 tundra auto connects to the device in the truck, no issues. Update: It appears the problem is associated with Android Auto. If I don't turn on Android Auto and use blue tooth, phone and media only connection, I have the same control as I do with my 2016 tundra. I Was hoping I could go wireless with Android Auto. Looks like I will need to tether a cable to use Android Auto. When using Android Auto, if I changed the volume, the system will change from Spotify playing from my phone to the car's radio. So, unable to change volume when using Android Auto. I have a Samsung S22 ultra Any solutions for this?

Android auto works like 90% of the time for me, there is no pattern it just sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. I have to shut the car off and turn it back on for android auto the connect, I can see my phone trying to connect to the car but the car refuses to see the phone, it would only connect after shutting off the car then starting it again. Is there a solution to manually make the car look for android auto and connect to the phone? This is all though Bluetooth btw.

As a new Grabd Highlander owner we Love your vids Steve! One question that doesn’t seem to be covered anywhere on any planet is generating the code AFTER the primary driver has already done the initial setup. All indications are that you can’t and that a couple who shares a vehicle would have to share the primary drivers account. That sounds insane for a vehicle that is made in 2024 but is there really no way to “add a vehicle” in the toyota app for the secondary driver? Day it ain’t so!

If you need a car that brakes itself, keeps you in your lane, parks itself etc. etc. Then you should not be driving any type of car. If I had my way, I would turn all that crap off, permanently. What a big pain in the ass all these "safety" features are. I am just tired of having these features like the automatic braking scaring the living daylights out me and the wife. I don't tailgate anyone. I wish there were cars that were stripped of all the nanny features. Just the other day a bunch of warning lights came on while I was driving. Why? Because snow had covered the front parking sensor. Big pain in the ass.

Whilst the middle display shows "Adaptive Cruise", you can press the right arrow and it will display the compass in the middle of the screen. Only issue is that this works only about 20% of the time. Wish I could figure out how to get it to display all the time

I for one HATE the system. It has ground my car to a screeching halt a few times in interstate traffic when I absolutely did not need to stop so abruptly and nearly gotten me rear ended at least 3 times.

We were so frustrated. Thanks for this video. A tip for you all. Because we could t setup Home and Work addresses, we had set them as "favourite" destination. Because they were favorite, home and work didn't allow us to save them; we removed them from favorite and it just saved them as Home and Work INSTEAD of favorite. So remove addresses from favorite and then follow the setup for Home and Work.

I was having trouble with Android Auto in a Toyota Grand Highlander after I switched from using a Samsung A14 to a Pixel 9 Pro XL. What finally worked is deleting all data from the Android Auto app, uninstalling the app, and reinstalling the app. Then it worked fine. Android Auto and Toyota say that Android Auto is not compatible with the Highlander models, but I found this to be untrue.
