    As a NM resident… the Albuquerque balloon festival license plate will make a fine looking guitar.

    I use old bicycle inner tubes to clamp my fingerboards to the necks. I cut them into strips about 1/2-3/4” wide and stretch/wrap them all along the neck. This gives me nice, uniform pressure the whole way without needing a bunch of heavy clamps. And they are free…

    Del, to make sure neck and angle head stock joint is level I use a 2ft level with a machined flat side with100grit strip taped on. After fretting I haven’t had to level yet. Works great for me.

    I find Padron 7000 boxes to be ideal for license plates (CBLPGs?), they have the perfect dimensions for USA style plates

    Super interesting that the corner joints don't seem to need anything but glue to be secure. Looking forward to the next video, Cheers!

    Did you make the John 3:16 plate or purchased?
    Have seen individual letters from plates but not as a finished plate

    Thank you for this. I am curious though … can you use another kind of pickup and or would it make a difference?

    What router bit are you using.... 1/2 or the 3/4 I sent you.... if so which one do you like better...?/

    • @PuckettCigarBoxGuitar
      @PuckettCigarBoxGuitar  9 місяців тому

      the 3/4 you sent was actually a 1/2. 😎👍🏽. that’s all i been using. plus i don’t think my router table will accommodate a 3/4 size bit
