You need to do a video about how The Magnificent Seven, Battle Beyond the Stars, The Three Amigos, A Bugs Life and Galaxy Quest are all the same story as Seven Samurai, albeit some of them being comedic and using the idea that the heroes initially don't know the threat is real. As far as I know The Magnificent Seven was the only one open about it, saying in the credits that it is based on the Kurosawa movie. Seven Samurai must be the story Hollywood remakes the most often.

ClassicTophatGaming Have you even seen Battle Royale? They're not even close. Making a classroom full of spoiled school children fight each other to the death != a class-warfare program used to keep large groups of people beholden to a ruling class. You'd have better luck making the argument that Battle Royale is an intentional Lord of the Flies...
+ClassicTophatGaming battle royal even tho is more gruesome have more character development then the hunger game last 2 movies but u should check it out if u have netflix tho
+ClassicTophatGaming Is that a lame attempt at sarcasm? Those 2 movies have literally nothing in common other than children killing each other... are you really this dense?
William Mueller & That was a lame attempt at tagging me, I could literally ask you the same thing since everyone else I know who have seen the films agree with me. Run Along now please.
Billy Lo* He needs to do a video that everyone isn't a Bruce Lee rip off, but a Billy Lo rip off. Billy Lo being the character partly played by Bruce Lee in Game of Death, but also played by two other actors in the film. The fact that the Billy Lo's yellow jumpsuit is Lee's most famous costume helps the idea that everyone is dressing like Billy Lo and not Lee. Also, Bruce Lee stood for martial arts being experienced by a broader audience, so I think he'd agree that Billy Lo is an embodiment of this idea (sort of like when multiple people take the mantle of something). Lastly, Bruce Lee was a Cha-cha Dance Champion and holds no martial arts awards.
IKMNification What in God's name are you on about? Billy Lo was never even apart of Bruce Lee's Game of Death. That was the name given to the main character of that shameless money-grabbing shitshow that was put together after he died. Bruce Lee and *ONLY* Bruce Lee played Hai Tien, the character of Lee's Game of Death, that made the yellow suit famous. You're wrong. How about you research your shit. The fact you responded with this to someone claiming Liu Kang is a Bruce Lee rip-off provides more evidence of your daftness, seeing as how Liu Kang's most common outfit closer resembles Lee's character from Enter the Dragon, *HIS MOST ICONIC MOVIE*. Nobody's going to make a video about your idiotic idea because in doing so they would make a complete ass of themselves. Also, I would say the respect and admiration from some of the top martial artists at the time, who regarded him as one of the best (e.g. Jim Kelly), is a martial arts award in and of itself.
In an alternate timeline, Bruce didn’t die and got his own fighting video game franchise. The thirtieth installment, Bruce Lee 2020, has just been released to rave reviews.
Sonja didn't fight shang and the younger sibling from enter the dragon killed herself, but I get the similarity. Other than those 2, this seriously creeps me out.
Except that Enter the Dragon came out what, like 20-30yrs before Mortal Combat? I remember being a teen fan of the Mortal Combat franchise and then seeing ETD for the first time. My reaction was "Holy Crap. MC totally ripped this off!" And that's exactly what they did.
You are right! But that is because the Mortal Kombat video game series was based on Enter The Dragon and Big Trouble In Little China. Then a movie was made based on the games which as you know were based on the ETD Movie.
I honestly thought everyone knew this. Mortal Kombat the movie was created to clone Enter the Dragon as homage to Bruce Lee. The creators stated during the movies production.
While the Mortal Kombat movie is more like Enter the Dragon than the actual first MK Game's story, this is no coincidence. I remember reading that Enter the Dragon was a main inspiration of the first Mortal Kombat game.
How about doing POINT BREAK and FAST AND THE FURIOUS ARE THE SAME MOVIE. Undercover cop infiltrates good gang to arrest the other bad gang, befriends good gang leader only to realize his gang is actually the bad gang, and not that other gang, while Cop falls in love with leader's closest gal pal, then goes after the now-bad gang causing death and destruction, only to let the now-bad gang leader best friend get away at the end....
I'm amazed you found the similarities in those 2. jeez what do you do? watch 2 movies at the same time with a note pad? I love it. :3 binge watching your video.

OMG! Can’t believe I never saw this despite watching the movies dozens of times!🙈🤣
I'm not sure if this just ruined Enter the Dragon for me or made the Mortal Kombat movie bette
El Burrito They ruined in both aspect no matter if it's is a remake or Based movie
Enter the Dragon copied MK somehow
+Johanna Zevenbergen You must be joking.
It's obvious that Bruce Lee just copied off of Liu Kang and JCVD stole from Johnny Cage.
I love how you ended this with a clip from The Last Dragon. The introduction of Bruce Leroy. Oh yeah, and Sho'Nuff, The Shogun of Harlem.
Knew this back in the 90s. A lot of video games were homages to movies back in the day.
Bullcrap Goro has way more arms than bolo
East coast Thrilla no shit
What ever happened to Bruce Lee? Did he give up acting?
Waki Siffredi he died.
Mind Officially Blown
Great job bro. Keep it up.
Damn ruined my whole childhood in under 1 minute lol
Why? I think it's fantastic that they did it this way. I always loved Mortal Kombat, but it made it even better when I noticed this.
I got an easy one for you. The Hunger Games & Battle Royale are the same movie.
William Mueller No i've never seen it....thats why i mentioned two films nearly the same.....
Also, Liu Kang is a Bruce Lee rip off.
I think everyone realized that
Billy Lo*
He needs to do a video that everyone isn't a Bruce Lee rip off, but a Billy Lo rip off.
You don't tend to win awards for unsanctioned fights in the streets or on rooftops.
IKMNification
What in God's name are you on about?
Jim Kelly), is a martial arts award in and of itself.
noodle knight hahaha, you're damn right
"Man, you come right out of a comic book" > Mortal Kombat
i admit: the parallels are uncanny but undeniable.
Other than those 2, this seriously creeps me out.
yes yes yes yes yes finally someone made a video of this I always had this in thought
Enter the Dragon is a classic paving way for many movies and games. Awesome movie! I loved the comparison vid!
Glory Hallelujah! Someome besides me gets it. Amen Brother. Preach it!
I see you have a relatively new channel. I like it. More videos like this. Also the Karate kid one was good. You have a earned a subscriber today.
As a huge mortal kombat fan, I thank you for this video!
This is hilarious. You need to do more!
You are right! But that is because the Mortal Kombat video game series was based on Enter The Dragon and Big Trouble In Little China. Then a movie was made based on the games which as you know were based on the ETD Movie.
the guy in Enter the Dragon was from New Zealand, not Australia. Roper says it to Williams when he first boards the boat.
I honestly thought everyone knew this. Mortal Kombat the movie was created to clone Enter the Dragon as homage to Bruce Lee. The creators stated during the movies production.
This is a legit mindblown.
this is great, subscribed... looking forward to your next videos :)
+João Augusto C. Moutinho Thanks!
While the Mortal Kombat movie is more like Enter the Dragon than the actual first MK Game's story, this is no coincidence.
I remember reading that Enter the Dragon was a main inspiration of the first Mortal Kombat game.
keep the vids coming bruh. You got talent!
And that's excactely why Mortal Kombat is one of the best videogame movies. It took inspiration on the same sources that inspired the game.
How about doing POINT BREAK and FAST AND THE FURIOUS ARE THE SAME MOVIE.
Undercover cop infiltrates good gang to arrest the other bad gang, befriends good gang leader only to realize his gang is actually the bad gang, and not that other gang, while Cop falls in love with leader's closest gal pal, then goes after the now-bad gang causing death and destruction, only to let the now-bad gang leader best friend get away at the end....
great video, cant wait to see more
I'm amazed you found the similarities in those 2. jeez what do you do? watch 2 movies at the same time with a note pad? I love it. :3 binge watching your video.
