@The Ringo & Monte Show yes I read an autobiography of an ex-girlfriend of his (can’t remember the name of the book or the author) and she mentioned that one night he was very depressed due to watching a video of his father’s funeral. She came over to his place to comfort him and he told her he always thought he would die young. Two years later, that’s exactly what happened. So sad.

The Crow is one of my all time favorite movies .Cant picture anyone else but Brandon Lee .He made that movie his own .I remember the controversy surrounding this film and it took years to sort out but i think everyone made the right choice by finishing it .It seems Brandon would of wanted it that way .Was standing right behind Jon Polito at 4th street promenade in Santa Monica coming out of a movie just before his passing .I was geeking hard and about to tell him how much i love the crow when my ex stopped me .One of the many reasons she is my ex .THE END
I'm a huge fan of Brandon and Bruce, my daughter's name is Draven Athena, and once she's old enough I'll have her watch The Crow and introduce her to everything I've learned from their teachings and their interviews. Truly amazing people.
I can honestly say that "The Crow" and what happened to Brandon changed my perspective on life. Such a perfectly preventable freakish tragedy. What a waste, such potential. He had it all.
I just watched The Crow again Last Night. To me, it's a Dark Masterpiece of love, Grief, Revenge. A very powerful movie. I'm Sad Brandon's life ended there, I think he was on his way to becoming a bigger Film Star than his Father had he not died on the set of the Crow. Thanks for the good albeit The title is misleading but it's a good video on Brandon Lee, . He is a star I never want to be forgotten.
No he didnt shot himself the guy that played Fun Boy accidentally killed Brandon by a blank bullet that was supposed to be a blank an a piece of the bullet fragment was the reason for his passing
He wasn’t murdered at all why would anyone murder someone that was making them money? It was an on set accident caused by making their own blanks and too many late nights.
I still am devistated and what happened to Brandon, another person that was taken too early.I still think it was a bit suspect how a live round ended up in where a blank should have been. Such a loss
They kinda did. The production crew decided to "save money" by making their own props. When they made dummie bullets they didn't set off the primers which have enough energy to put a bullet cap into the barrel of a gun. Then a blank round sends that jammed bullet at about 70% power which is more than lethal. He died of other peoples incompetence.
Ah, modern society where facts don't matter but people's opinions and "feelings" reign supreme. And because you "feel" that it must be true huh? Another product of a conspiracy theory society lead by the conspiracy theorist in chief I suppose. How sad.
Does the character of "Eric Draven" reminds anybody of Heath Ledger's Joker. Both characters are dark and ironically both actors suffered same fate after giving a mind blowing performance.
And both died at their peak . Tragic. The prop gun accident should've never happened- it was a non-Union set,no dedicated prop/weapon master was there on-set, no one checked it after it was passed around and played with ...Sad
Anytime that gun was used it should have been cleaned and made sure it wasn't loaded or damaged I don't give a shit how cheap the freaking production is its basic safety with any firearms
J. O. Barr wrote the comic in memory of his best friends death. It was a brilliant comic before they made into a movie. The story has been changed yet the gothic feel of the comic is captured by Brandon in the movie. This movie is one of my all time favourites. Every time I see it, it makes me cry!!!
I used to make music videos, just for fun(I'd be hit with Copyright strikes like a mofo these days)… but I used footage from The Crow and paired it with Metallica's "Unforgiven", and it was a masterpiece. I no longer have the VHS tape it was on, so I'm going to attempt to recreate it, but obviously I won't be able to upload it to UA-cam. Still, I'm going to remake it. When I showed it to people(back in the late 90s/early 2000s), most people thought it was a European Import never shown in the US. Yeah, it was that good, and I'm very proud of it. It was made as a tribute to Brandon Lee, as I love him in that movie, and the story worked very well with that music.
I spent a lot of time working on the backlot at Screen Gems doing grip and stunt crew jobs in the 90s (not on the Crow though). The first film after the accident on the backlot stage where he died was an industry for a Swedish company about mental health in the workplace. It was surreal, everything was painted up bright colors and we had picked up like 15 brightly colored Hyundai(s) to line the "street" but it was all on the opposite side of the backlot stage where his accident happened. Everyone spoke in hushed tones about it. It seemed like the darkness had overtaken that part of the lot. It's a strange place, that backlot. That's why most "city street" filming moved either to Southport or to downtown Wilmington. I never saw the final of the industry film. I can't imagine how it all translated.
I'm gone keep it real: When Bruce was about 18 or 19 years old, maybe even 17, he got into a fight with an "organized crime" member, which is a pretty way of naming a person involved with the mob. He was attending a high school in Kowloon, Hong Kong, called St. Xavier High I think. Well, later on that week, the authorities went to where Lee lived and told his parents about the ordeal. I think they also mentioned the fact that they may not be able to protect him from harm at all times. They say Bruce beat the dragonpiss outta this guy too. 9 times outta 10, the guy was either Triad, or Yakuza mobsters. If so, then not only did Brandon get killed by these revengeful fukkers, but the woman who gave Bruce Lee the pill that killed him more than likely was also paid off as well. If I never learned anything in life, one things for certain: You don't disgrace an Asian mobster, because you may not be the only one thats gonna pay for it!!!
He would have been huge. He made some classic little martial arts movies, The Crow launched him as a Superstar, so sad. Tragic accident and since then rules about blanks and guns on set was changed. He was a good actor and martial artist whereas his Dad was a good actor but the best Martial Artist this planet has ever seen.
It may or may not have been an accident due to negligence. but I seem to find it strange that as Brandon Lee was complaining and attempting to sue for the dangers on set, they happen to send the weapons expert home that would’ve checked every prop gun before the scene. “Budget reasons “ they said. Yea 👌
Hard to believe he passed away on my birthday as I was turning 1 yrs old. But I love all of his movies, his dad's biography movie the dragon one. I have the shirt of Brandon it's says "this girl loves Brandon Lee ". It's sad that such great men were taken away too soon. RIP Bruce and Brandon Lee
I had the same reaction when it was said. "I'm sorry...WHAT?!?! You did NOT just say that!" In all the years since, that's the first I've heard of that and I never want to hear it again!
I loved rapid fire and the crow. I was just heartbroken when I heard of Brandon's death. I was a junior in high school in 1993. If he hadn't had that terrible accident that took his life, he'd have been the biggest star actor in existence to this day, I'm sure of it.
So they could digitally insert Lee's face for pick ups, but they didn't choose to use digital gun-fire. Seems very strange to use blanks in a gun (by today's standards). Imagine an on-set prop gun just being a real gun with blanks - seems crazy.
The weird part is that in game of death there's a scene where bruce lees character gets shot on the set of chinese connection by a gunman working for an acting mob then the crow came out and Brandon met the same fate. There is no accident there.
I am so thankful for all and any information shared with 💖of all about Brandon Lee I have all of the works of Bruce & Brandon Lee. My look ups! For Martial Arts Motivation Forward!

Loved watching Brandon in the Crow.Sad movie, not just the story but also knowing that it was his final film.
R.I.P Brandon Lee
27 years later still a fantastic movie, such a talented family
Check out Shannon's web site where she shares a lot of info and wisdom about Bruce Lee and the family.

Rapid fire great movie wish he was still around rip Brandon lee
hi frank
@@zx45zx "Pop Tarts....more Pop Tarts...."
Rapid Fire was the SHIT!!!!!
Showdown in Little Tokyo was great as well.
Damn when he talks he sounds a bit like Keanu Reeves 😮
Thanks! I couldn't place who he was reminding me of. You are spot on.
Suncica Cinglak very similar ethnicity
Keanu took alot of inspiration from lee
No he doesn't
Damien Lu dude it was just an opinion. Subjective ya know...It’s fine if u disagree we can still be friends👍
I can honestly say that "The Crow" and what happened to Brandon changed my perspective on life. Such a perfectly preventable freakish tragedy. What a waste, such potential. He had it all.
“I have something to give you. “ I don’t want it anymore. “Thirty hours of pain all at once, all for you.”
So sad. Such a talented actor life cut short due to others' carelessness.
No he was murdered by the same people that killed his father
No... he accidentally shot himself thinking there was a blank in the gun!!
No he didnt shot himself the guy that played Fun Boy accidentally killed Brandon by a blank bullet that was supposed to be a blank an a piece of the bullet fragment was the reason for his passing
He was murdered thats all there is to it.
And not playing his dad is very understandable.
Got any proof to go with that claim?
He wasn’t murdered at all why would anyone murder someone that was making them money? It was an on set accident caused by making their own blanks and too many late nights.
TheRogueSquid same reason they murder his father to destroy bruce lees legacy
@@fnmass562 somebody lose their tinfoil hat?
@woooudo pretty fancy way to say you're a simpleton that jumps from conspiracy to conspiracy because your life lacks any real meaning. 🤔
I still am devistated and what happened to Brandon, another person that was taken too early.I still think it was a bit suspect how a live round ended up in where a blank should have been. Such a loss
Brandon Lee was and still is a badass!
I feel like someone put a real bullet in the gun on purpose
They kinda did. The production crew decided to "save money" by making their own props. When they made dummie bullets they didn't set off the primers which have enough energy to put a bullet cap into the barrel of a gun. Then a blank round sends that jammed bullet at about 70% power which is more than lethal. He died of other peoples incompetence.
Such a evil thing to do. He was a amazing actor. The film was so good and sad 😪
@ they did 🤔
Ah, modern society where facts don't matter but people's opinions and "feelings" reign supreme. And because you "feel" that it must be true huh? Another product of a conspiracy theory society lead by the conspiracy theorist in chief I suppose. How sad.
@@ross-carlson that is so sick to do that too him 🤨
The Crow is one of my favorite movies!
He will always be remembered
Does the character of "Eric Draven" reminds anybody of Heath Ledger's Joker. Both characters are dark and ironically both actors suffered same fate after giving a mind blowing performance.
And both died at their peak . Tragic. The prop gun accident should've never happened- it was a non-Union set,no dedicated prop/weapon master was there on-set, no one checked it after it was passed around and played with ...Sad
Nope. Heath is overrated as fuck.
Hassan Zameer Nope.
Ichigo Kurosaki There a difference of acting styles between hollywood and japanese film industry. Are you saying from that standard?
@@hazaonly no I'm saying if heath was still alive people wouldn't be on his dick like they are. He was a good thug but not a good joker
Anytime that gun was used it should have been cleaned and made sure it wasn't loaded or damaged I don't give a shit how cheap the freaking production is its basic safety with any firearms
The Crow will always be one of my favorite movies of all time
J. O. Barr wrote the comic in memory of his best friends death. It was a brilliant comic before they made into a movie. The story has been changed yet the gothic feel of the comic is captured by Brandon in the movie. This movie is one of my all time favourites. Every time I see it, it makes me cry!!!
Brandon Lee's performance as The Crowe really must had influenced Heath Ledger's performance as The Joker.
Aside from Brandon's heartfelt performance, the soundtrack was great too.
I’m saddened every time I see this story. I love ❤️ the crow and miss what could have been. RIP Brandon Lee. 🤜🤛
Man I wonder what movies this guy would have went on to make. What other action stars would he have co-starred with? Today he would be 54.
The Crow is my favorite movie of all times. There is no one and I mean No One can replace Brandon Lee. R.I.P. Brandon Lee and Bruce Lee.
I am huge Brandon Lee fan. I have seen everything that he has acted in
How about Laser Mission? The movie with no missions or lasers?
Me too I have unsigned photo of him on my book shelf
This story breaks my heart. Special men taken before their time. God Bless the Lee
Family.
Why did I watch this? It just makes me sad all over again remembering how one of my favorite action stars met his end too soon :(
Rest In Peace and Power Brandon and Bruce. Gone, but never forgotten~
Wow. Murphy's Law was in full effect on production of The Crow.
somebody should have called OSHA 20 times.
He was such a special actor. He definitely would have some Oscars under his belt if he was still alive, a very talented actor.
This is a good one, I love it !
My sons name is draven.... amd not from league of legends but from Brandon's portrayal of eric draven. Thank you Brandon for everything you gave to me
I have a special connection to this film since the first time that I saw it.
I plan on getting a tattoo of it.
R.I.P. Brandon Lee. 😢🖤
I'm gone keep it real:
When Bruce was about 18 or 19 years old, maybe even 17, he got into a fight with an "organized crime" member, which is a pretty way of naming a person involved with the mob.
This was very insightful, well done Looper crew.
Everytime I hear about all the horrors of filming The Crow the more I think that something or someone did not want them to film that movie.
Thank you for this in-depth & very meaningful essay/ documentary.
Damn he looks just like his dad r i p to both of them
Buildings burn, people die, but real love is forever. R.I.P. Brandon Lee
RIP Brandon Lee
Brandon's manager called the producers in a rage saying they were trying to kill him? That's a big red flag right there!
Everything we knew already.
no idea why i got inspired tonight to re-examine the memories of the unique echo's of Bandon Lee i had in the 90's
;-; I still have the Crow movie and comic. Love this to death and Brandon Lee will always be in our hearts
Looper can you finally share the music to your vids .. geez I love this track
Michael Jackson as... the Crow? As-as The Crow? I don't even.... I
wat
I had the same reaction when it was said. "I'm sorry...WHAT?!?! You did NOT just say that!" In all the years since, that's the first I've heard of that and I never want to hear it again!
" It can't rain all the time, shamone! "
Thanks for not normalizing your audio levels with the audio clips of Shannon Lee...had my volume way up and you scared my cat. You bastard.
Without crow we have no joker from dark knight.🧐
Not even close
The weird part is that in game of death there's a scene where bruce lees character gets shot on the set of chinese connection by a gunman working for an acting mob then the crow came out and Brandon met the same fate. There is no accident there.
Crazy I thought it was the joker.
I am so thankful for all and any information shared with 💖of all about Brandon Lee I have all of the works of Bruce & Brandon Lee. My look ups! For Martial Arts Motivation Forward!
I'm still waiting for the reveal
