I probably read the uglys instructions and tried to execute my first 4 point like 4 times before I finally went to UA-cam and found your video. I'm pretty sure that the uglys book is wrong on how to do it, lol. Either that or they just make way to confusing. Hello Bill... I’m really liking this new Klein bender. Especially for people like me who aren’t experts at making bends. Have you ever used the bender boot that Ideal makes that you put on the end of the bender handle so you can keep the bender from moving by stepping on it? I’m surprised Klein hasn’t made one for theirs....
Yes, I do like the bender boot when working on a finished floor because it protects the floor. I don't like it when working on concrete though. I just put my boot on the handle for safety. It's an IDEAL patent.
Thanks buddy. I've been self Employed Remodeling/Home Improvement for 21 yrs now and I am always still learning, Now with that being said, For the push through. Are you using more or less take up that you would use the star instead of traditional arrow like I'm use to. I've only used the star for back to back 90s. Thank you sir. Appreciate your detailed explanations, I'm more of a visual learner. 👁👍

So, after using the “angle setter”....do ya think it’s nice to have, also; you like the new head design (and markings) on the Klein benders compared to last gen? I’m also glad you got them and tested, as I kept asking you about them (hope didn’t mind, it was just curious on if saw them and what thought). Hey Bill I just bought one of these 3/4 size. I tried doing a basic 8 inch offset using the 25 degree setting and it’s over the 8 inch offset I’m looking for. It was around 9 1/2 inches. Using the multiplier. A couple of coworkers came out with the same results. Any food for thought? I didnt bend pass the guide.
Angle setter piece on the bender? Whuuuuttt? What is this new found devilry? My apprentice is such a pos i have him use the notch on all bends for a 4 point its only a little off, but good luck explaining to him the correct way... when time is of the essence and a dud of an apprentice you have, measure to obstacle, make 1st mark, measure width of obstacle, make second mark, use multiplier outwards from there both directions, leave bender with hook pointing toward direction of measurement, and start with first mark working toward last mark using the notch (center of bend) this will get you through trying times with a crap apprentice who is 2 yrs in and STILL cant bend...

That's what the angle setter is for. That little plastic piece stops the conduit at the proper angle.

Hey Bill I was wondering if you can make a video on doing back to back bends with kicks on each side? Those bends always give me a hard time.
With the push through method for this saddle, do you start on the arrow for all the marks or should we apply the same mehod as the 3-point saddle?

Yes.

Is there an explanation of the EMT piping regulations?
NEC article 358 covers the use, installation, and construction specifications for electrical metallic tubing (EMT) and associated fittings.
Is it the same with rigid?
Yes just compensate for your bender size

Hi Bill, how do I know that I need a 30 degree bend for my conduit? What if I have a bigger pipe than this? Thanks you.
Why the 2nd offset doesn't count the shrinkage 3/4"?
You add enough to your overall length to account for the shrink from the first set of bends
He does. He mentions it at 3:07
