As much as I love the necro, GoD DH just gets around sooooo much faster, it's a no context. Possibly hydra Wiz instead (with Aether wand :), but slowass classes are just too painful these days.
@@Nostromo2144 When you get to the point that everything isn't dying instantly, speed matters a lot less. I'm excited to see necro in the big spotlight for not just rat runs though.
Bone spear has always been my favourite necro skill since Diablo 2. Sure it wasn't as good compared to other builds, but the aesthetics were unsurpassed (for me). Loving it's now a top build, at least for this season.
I was never a fan of any Simulacrum build but man this combo rocks. Running this build now and really enjoying it a lot. Got lucky to get Haunted Visions early (2nd rare upgrade).
Running this set up and boy is it insane. Hunting down the primal ancient sets now. So that is my main focus for the season now. But being able to pull trillions of damage on Torment 16 is a very nice feeling. I wonder if they will ever add a new torment level with the insane power creep that is happening.
this build is hard work without a few pieces. I've got the 5 piece set but always out of essence. I'm tempted to run devour until I can get necklace and rings.
Unity if you want to be more tanky and like to play solo. For speed running normal rifts swap in an avarice band. For more boss damage a well rolled Stone of Jordan. Another option would be to put Krysbin's Sentence into the Convention spot and then get an immunity amulet in the cube.
Stone of Jordan Gives some phys damage and some essence

Just use the CoE and forget it completely. Passively it grants you a roughly 66% more dmg (200/3) across the rift. I set it and forget it all the time.
@ Very much this. Unless the build you're playing is based on building up for some huge damage spike, you can just wear it and enjoy the passive benefits. Otherwise, as has been mentioned, Unity for solo play for additional tankiness.

Haha, today, playing DH, I found a decent Haunted Visions Amulet, didn't have any idea about its usefulness to this build... and scrapped it. Maybe if I ever find another one... maybe.
I agree with the physical/teeth spear. . . I noticed that it was really helpful for speed runs and group play in s21. In my s21 build, I swapped bone armor with devour to help me with movt speed and essence regen. I had also used bone spikes instead of grim scythe as substitute skill for stun that would come from bone armor. What are other control impairing effects would compliment Krysbins? This build guide is nudging me towards running a bone spear necro in s22 again--especially with the introduction of Gelmindor's. Thanks for the analysis and upload.
was going for Monk this season cause I haven't played it in quite a while and played the Bone Spear Necro last season which was tons of fun. But maybe I'll reconsider my decision and give it another go since Necro is by far my favourite class.
Keep the good job, happy to see this very informative video. But there's one thing that's trouble me, without the item Haunted Vision this build gonna be hard to pull off. What to do if I got bad rng with the necklace ?
Run Legacy of Dreams Corpse Explosion until you get it then swap to Bone Spear. That's what I'll be doing. Otherwise you need to roll CDR on all your gear, which you don't need once you get the ammy.
I played pestilence bone spear back when I started playing diablo when t13 was the highest difficulty. Then t16 comes out and pestilence bone spear was the only set I had that couldn't go past t14. I'm glad they made a new bonespear set but I really wanna see them fix pestilence and maybe remove bonespear buff and buff something else.
Put most of this build together but can't figure out how to have simulacrum and bone armor active at the same time? I'm on ps4 and both abilities are under blood and bone or R1 on ps4
How about Leger's Disdain as the offhand of choice for this build? Seems like the buff it gives to Grim Scythe would go hand in hand with the build since you're using that as your generator skill.
But your Simulacrums don't duplicate Siphon Blood. The only generator they'll duplicate is Grim Scythe. With them adding those extra hits, you'll generate Essence much faster.

I started playing this set few weeks ago and I'm not quiet sure why Razeth's Volition are suggested. Maybe I'm not high level enough yet in my paragon, but I decided to switch it with the Requiem Cereplate which allows me to restore an additional 100% Essence and Life with Devour. And since I have the Devouring Aura, I felt like this would be more appropriate. I feel like I'm missing something though, cause everyone and every websites suggest the shoulders instead of the chest armor in the cube... Am I missing something?
Thanks Rhykker, just started this season the other day and still pretty early putting it together, the biggest issue i had though was managing my essence so i've been using reaper's wraps it helps a lot. Do you have any similar recomendations for allowing it to be a bit more spammy without having to worry as much about essence? I understand it obviously won't be as powerful but i feel that kind of alternative still has a good place for non greater rift pushing activities. :D thanks so much.

This is my question, as it's what I've been doing. My build isn't too far off from this right now, but without seeing the math I'm not seeing how 15% per enemy passed through will equal that 500%.
Not sure how much of this season I really want to do, if at all. Inquisitor Martyr has really hooked me in. Better than D3 in many ways. Plus I don't have to deal with ActiBlizztard & whatever shit they'll pull next.
Ive got the set items from the season but where do i find the other items? Ive had a look online and cant seem to find any information. I started playing d3 last month and got my necromancer to level 70 paragon 63.
How do you play like this? I don't get it! I have an extremely hard time trying to kill monsters if they are spread out. A corridor, fine, but an open area is impossibly slow to clear. And how do you activate the crazy effect of the Simulacrums? Sometimes when using a shrine or something, it activates a crazy effect killing everything. lol I have no idea how to sustain such an effect, also the Essence always seem to get used up! Any advice is greatly appreciated!
I got some answers by completely watching this video, but I still feel this is slow compared to other classes. A Demon hunter or say, Barbarian clears a whole screen of monsters a lot faster than what I can do! Main issue for me is that it takes a lot longer to do a Rift! Edit: I found out that after some testing and getting all the gear, it is a bit more manageable! Thanks for making this guide! :)

I bought the game about 4 days ago and just kinda used what looked fun, which was a flesh golem/corpse explosion/bone spear build, but up to T24 the damage is starting to fall off so I wanna try this. I looked up the Simulacrum and saw its CD was 120 seconds, and it only lasts 15. Did I miss some skill/item that extends the life, or if not, what do you do in the downtime? Just spam bone spear? Also, the link to the build shows you using rubies in your chest and pants, was that a mistake or is it worth it over Topaz?

This might be a stupid question, but is there a Set Dungeon for this set? Everywhere I can find online says there isn't one for the new sets, but it seems stupid to me to make it the season free set, and force you to collect a completely different set just for the set dungeon clear.

Oh man, so many builds in this game that I don't know which one to use for my first playthrough.
This is a really powerful super fun build!
I don't even have all the components of it and I'm already clearing 70+ GR's with ease.
Zeis feels like it’s counter intuitive to bone armor. Gotta be close for bone armor but literally every other skill we use wants max distance.
I pop it within anything that manages to get close and when the boss summons/teleports nearby and pop its dead. The 2 second stuns is a game changer.
this looks like the best put together and fun build I have seen to date IMO.
I'm on Xbox console and we only get three power skill slots instead of four. That changes this build quite a bit!

This might be a stupid question, but is there a Set Dungeon for this set? Everywhere I can find online says there isn't one for the new sets, but it seems stupid to me to make it the season free set, and force you to collect a completely different set just for the set dungeon clear.
That's exactly what they did.
They added new sets to the game within the last year, but haven't yet added set dungeons for those sets. Likely in the future :)
