@@NightZ2_ Guy, you seem to take my comment about "darkness" of D3 as an absolute negative. I actually quite enjoy D3. Amazing, I search for this video every single season and make my decision based on it. You're the man!! I hope you get insane amounts of subs when D4 drops.
Thanks again for this concise breakdown and advice, Rhykker. I'm a long term Diablo player, but I took a 6 year break after beating D3 after release. I only just returned a couple seasons ago, and your channel has given me the knowledge and tools to build at least one character a season that can assist the clan that adopted me. Many thanks from this old D1 bounty hunter. May your attacks always strike true, buddy.
The problem is that regular "command Skeleton" damage sucks, even with Rathma + Jesseth + high lvl Enforcer the damage is just too low. after a certain GR level you're just waiting for Army of the Dead to cooldown so you can nuke down packs. other Necro builds are much easier with a "just right click and stuff dies" strategy.
I like that this site actually has some more content for hardcore players. I'd like to actually see a tier list ranking these builds and their variants from most hardcore friendly to least hardcore friendly.
My friend demanded I play this with him, so I randomly decided to build a necromancer, not knowing anything about this game. It was a blast and now I’m addicted to this game after only playing one 3-hour session lol
This new websites looks great! I think it is awesome that we are still seeing so much updates and content from the content creators for D3 btw, so thank you guys for making this.
If that's what you're comfortable playing, then by all means, do what works for you. UE Multi and Shadow Dagger builds were always better but I could understand those builds not being for everyone. Have you tried GOD? Nowadays there is no comparison, it is cheap, and easy, and effective. Maybe the playstyle is too boring for you though.
@Rhykker - Star Fleet Battles had a class of ships beyond dreadnoughts called X-ships. If you're going to add a new tier, I suggest that we call it the X tier.
This has probably already been stated.. and I know there are tons of variations for most all builds that don't have to utilize it.. but this is essentially Season 16/The Season of Grandeur all over again, given that the fourth slot will be filled with a RoRG in most cases, effectively negating that slot's existence. But that aside, and as I said before, that extra slot will give a ton of options and open things up quite a bit overall.
Every season I tell myself “yeah I think I’m done with D3” and then every season Rhykker drops this video, and here I am ignoring my family debating between Zombie Bears WD or Hydra Wizard... cheers, Rhykker!
come on, aren't you interested to see how these animation's was edited, i thought 't was pretty cool to make such an entrance for the commercial which basically bought this episode.
Can you give a recommendation for hardcore? Like what 5 builds are a good compromise between allround-damage and tankiness? Would the Necro-S be a good choice? Thanks.
Rhyker wth, the best dh god build uses dawn+calamity + marked for death aoe rune for massive stacking mass-murdering ability. You get more crit this way, 15 % more dmg overall and a second chaining edition of " chance for area dmg". Not to mention it gives all your mates the same bonus. Combine it with tripple curse bone spear mancer and everything will turn into easy mode. It feels like playing 5 lvls lower gr than you are actually doing.
Cool thanks man! I'm gonna have to go WW Barb as I lost all my progress from when my ps4 hard drive died....and try a new build i never tried before the Hydra Wizard build!
So I started playing D3 again last season and this season (22). Legacy of Nightmares currently isn't relevant anymore, is it? Also, would SWK LTK fit in on the tier list?
LoD thron crus, could be an A/S on quick farming build. By far, might be the easiest build to run over all, and fast enough to farm 75 gr in 1: 30, which equivalent to t16 key farming.
Man I'm a casual player and I've been playing kinda on and off for years on xbox. I never play seasons so I just want a good build for regular play. I've been playing firebird but recently got a full Tal Rasha set which was a huge boost... Only to come back 2 months later and now the etched sigil is ruined but thankfully I had one that got grandfathered in. However I want a new build to work towards that doesn't require that 4th kanai cube slot. I hate the hydra builds I just don't like how they play at all. I'm thinking maybe a twister build or a frozen orb build. I just don't know and it's overwhelming
Quick question for you guys: If I create a seasonal hero, will my adventure/campaign hero be deleted? I have got a L70 barbarian right now, and Im interested in the seasonal hero, but can I still play with my current hero?? Thanks in advance guys!
I wonder if N6M4 multi shot is viable for s22...... being able to run rucksack, deadman's and yangs. Seems like a fun build but not sure if it would even come close to being competitive. Wonder if anyone tested this in the PTR
Arachyr chicken seems like a wierd build to be on the list at all. Unless I'm missing something, WD chicken builds were always for speed runs and not pushing. Did the Arachyr buff make it a viable solo push build? Edit: If I would have waited 30 seconds, I would have had my answer. That's what I get for commenting before watching everything.
I'm sad they had to resort to ruining the etched sigil from being a fun wizard source to a niche one, but that's literally the last thing they had left to really nerf to kill their supposed enemy in the bazooka wizard builds that the D3 life support team have been trying to kill for like, 10 seasons now.
I know this is a "get off my lawn" comment, but I never liked the fact that Diablo 3 moved away from a focus on multiplayer and focused more on single player; they made each class way too OP, as well as weapons and armor sets, which help to make all your stats re-dick. Furthermore, there isn't as big a focus on team buffs as there was in D2. Diablo was originally meant to be a multiplayer dungeon crawler. I remember how excited I was when I first watched the video preview for D1 and the possibilities of playing with my friends, hacking AND slashing our way down to Hell. D2 did a good job polishing individual classes and adding skills and abilities that were lacking in the 1st game. Every class has useful abilities that help buff your party. D3 took all the features that I felt made D1 and D2 fun and said "meh", and then discarded most of it. D3 is all about maximizing solo GR runs. From what I've seen of D4 I have reason to be optimistic that Blizzard is moving the franchise closer to D2 than D3. Hopefully they continue that trend.
Informative and well presented video! One observation, the tier list graphic didn't seem to line up very well with your verbal numbering of positions, so it was a bit confusing when concentrating on the graphic. Otherwise an enjoyable watch :)

Monk beats it, but monk beats everything. It does have a high skill floor to achieve good results compared to something like wastes ww or lod mage, but that shouldn't put it into a tier it performs significantly better than even with early season para+gear. 2. Do you have to get a new Ivory Tower (patch 2.6.10) to get the change?
