That's a bowl that the average house cat should never be able to knock over. I love the chunkiness.
Good luck to them, lol. Thanks
@nikkia9506 I'm sure that my big black boy cat would have it on the floor in an instant. But, yeah, I love the chunkiness (bowl and cat).
But don't leave it outside a stray cat could steal it.❤
Absolutely gorgeous ❤ Jim!! Love how the holes you filled on the inside made part of the Burl look like a dog with the magenta eyes ❤!! Designer Epoxy ❤
The pine cones along with the burl and epoxy go together perfectly. Awesome bowl
Thanks 👍
That glitter is going to follow you for life man. For LIFE.
Too funny, thanks.
Leaving the walls thick was the correct thing to do. Awesome piece of art. Designer epoxy
Thank you very much!
Making a bowl super thin says ‘look what a good turner I am. Who cares what it looks like’. A bowl that is thicker says ‘ look how beautiful the wood, resin, pinecones are & how beautiful those makings let me form this bowl’. You, Jim, are a Master Maker.
Wow! Thank you very much!
Leaving the thick walls to preserve the flowers was definitely the right call…it’s another beautiful piece…one of my favorites so far…👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks so much!
The cones do look like flowers and give this bowl such a unique look of art. Jim, you always go above and beyond.
Thank you very much!
Designer epoxy - your argument for the beefier bowl really comes through with the silhouettes of the pine cones in the lighted from the insides. I prefer these projects with subtler or fewer bold colors. I appreciate that i always learn something
Thank you very much!
The frosted pinecones were a great idea. They look like flowers but also like oyster shells, which could be a fun thing to do with broken or cut off petals.
Great idea! Thanks so much!
Leaving it thick was absolutely the right call. You would have lost so much of the pinecone detail going with a thinner bowl. Designer Epoxy did a great job as always!
Thank you very much!
Yea I agree!
Absolutely the right call Jim, totally beautiful
Love the magenta and the thickness! Beautiful piece ... again. Designer Epoxy.
Thank you! Cheers!
Love the “flowers” on top. Hope your boo-boo heals quickly. Every aspect of this piece takes my breath away.
Thank you.
Thanks so much!
The combo of burl and pine cones is a perfect example of your creativity. Love this piece.
Thank you very much!
The thickness permits the pine cones to bloom in all their glories. Love the bowl!
Thank you very much!
Thin bowls are a dime a dozen. This bowl has a lot of character. 😊 Love the pinecone flowers!
Yes! Thank you!
Love the way the cones DO look like flower tips! Designer Epoxy! Love their products. Another beautiful piece!
Thanks so much!
Not everything has to be thin. The pinecones definitely look like flowers. Using the 5-minute epoxy from Designer Epoxy to frost the pine cones was an interesting idea. It definitely enhanced the flower aspect of the pinecones.
Thank you very much!
Comment for the algorithm gremlins 😂😂😂😂 looks beautiful!
That's a beautiful bowl. The thickness is not a drawback since the pine cones need it for the flower effect. The burl has a lovely gold color which works well with the magenta. I really like it.
They like that, lol. Thanks
Wow! That burl looks like gold leaf. Very cool effect with the "frosted" pine cones.
I especially like the “flowers” and the running pink reminds me of waterfalls. Parts of the epoxy colours remind me of sunsets. It’s a magnificent piece! Again! 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Lovely bowl. From the side, through the pinecones it looks like an evening sunset.❣️
Thank you! Cheers!
Your creations have become our Friday entertainment every week :)
Designer Epoxy
Wow, thanks! Happy to hear that!
Another great one with designerepoxy, love the pinecones inside
Thank you! Cheers!
Love the chunky size. Love the "flowers". Love the magenta. Love the burl. 1000% my new favorite. AMAZING!!!❤
Thank you very much!
Love the pine cone flowers 😊
Thank you! 😊
What a cute little candy bowl. I can see Christmas,Valentine's, and Easter candy in it. Good job with the pinecones. Designer Epoxy
Thank you! 🤗
Designer Epoxy
Beautiful bowl
Thank you! Cheers!
Man, that bowl is beautiful. Designer Epoxy
Thanks so much!
Hi Jim, it's beautiful. Flowers at the top and trees down the sides. Wood is so pretty, amazing shapes. Brilliant bowl. Have a great weekend. Take care.
Many thanks!
Those pinecones with the epoxy definitely do look like flowers at the top! And the burl definitely suits the colours very well. A great job indeed!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Another beautiful project thanks to you and DESIGNER EPOXY!
Thanks again!
the pinecones look like flowers, keeping it thick was clearly the best call for this piece, and I must say I agree with you bowl with some substance is the best kind.
Thank you so much!
I love those flowers!
Designer Epoxy.
Thank you! Cheers!
Watching you fill in the voids in the bowl as you put in the epoxy i could see a cat's face. It's a beautiful bowl.🎉🎉🎉 The cones look like pretty spring flowers.
They do! Thank you! Cheers!
The bowl is a masterpiece! The pinecones look like flowers! It is a gorgeous piece of art!! I like the thickness of the bowl!!
Congratulations, this is so, so amazing! Bravo!
Thank you very much!
Hi Jim the Maple burl is amazing it really is lovely and the grain and markings is wonderful. I love the pinecones they do look like flowers, the resin colour is really beautiful, the burl looks like its a bronze colour. I like the fact that you left the rim thick the paperweight bowl is magnificent and unique. This is in my top 5 you totally are a mastercraftsman. Thank you for a great video, take care you and your wife God bless you both Amanda xx ❤❤
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks
Oh my GOODNESS! My new favourite. The cones look like clary sage. Dusting them in silver was genius! And what a piece of burl. The whole thing is perfection.
Thank you very much!
Absolutely stunning!
I could look at that bowl all day long! Epoxy❣️
Thank you very much!
Love the buarell, the color almost looks like blood orange, nice trick with the pinecones. Awesome job.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😎
Thank you very much!
Another Designer Epoxy masterpiece! Love the substantial look and feel that allows the medium to show its beauty
Thank you so much!
Chonky! Sometimes chonky is necessary to show all of those beautiful details! This is stunning! The flowers, trees and mountains… you can’t do much better than Mother Nature😉❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much!
It is absolutely gorgeous. They definitely look like flowers.
Thank you very much!
Absolutely stunning!! Wow ❤
Thank you! Cheers!
So many amazing shapes in that and the colours looked fabulous with that burl. Thanks for sharing your art with us! Xx🇬🇧
My pleasure! Thank you very much!
The burl looks like it's glowing gold. Another absolutely beautiful piece. The colours you choose are just what I would pick. Love the cone "flowers" ❤
Thank you so much!
Pinecones and designer epoxy ….always a great combo
Yes, agreed! Thank you! Cheers!
I completely agree with you, Jim! There's no way you could have gone thinner. Too much of its character would have been lost. She's absolutely perfect, just as she is! Those pigments from Designer Epoxy continuously blow my mind; I think the magenta was the perfect match to the burl and cones!
Thanks so much!
Thanks Jim, always look forward to the videos on Friday. You really make it look so simple and the burls, pine cones and Designer Epoxy came out exceptionally stunning this week.
Stay well.
Thank you very much!
The forest! Almost a picture in a casting! So pretty!
Thank you very much!
I love the “beefy” bowls that you make. I have no doubt that you have the talent to turn a very thin, very fragile piece that would show off your talent. Instead, you show off the materials with a respect for their intrinsic beauty. A tiny little piece wouldn’t show off the wood, cones, or the Designer Epoxy in their best form. When what you turn has its own beauty already, celebrate that and bring it out in its best light. I don’t know how you could show off a gorgeous hunk of burl and some beautiful frosted pinecones that absolutely look like flowers from the top, in a thinner piece. Good choices as always Jim, I love it!!!
Thanks for watching! Cheers
I agree with you, doing the real time turning keeps things in perspective, people start to thing that you can turn your bowl in an hour and that’s just not the case! And the real time turning shows them how fast you are really cutting!! Thanks great job!
Absolutely!! Thank you very much!
this looks great. designer epoxy and their colors make a great combination.
Thank you very much!
Beefy is fine! Did a good job of preserving the petals, love how the Ice White seems to waft off the petals and become ghostly. And that burl...that is beautiful. Good job, I like it.
Designer Epoxy
Thanks so much!
Beautiful bowl. I especially love the pinecone roses in the rim
Thank you very much!
Why a beautiful piece of wood and of course enhanced by your artistry.
Thank you very much!
This was gorgeous! Great idea with frosting the pine cones!
Thanks so much! 😊
I really like that flower look with pine cones. Great tip. The colors also help with the flower look.
Agreed! Thank you very much!
The borough looks like gold leaf with the pinecones as petals of flowers. Beautiful Job Jim❤.
Designer Epoxy.
Thank you very much!
@@SpragueWoodturning you are most welcome
Love the way the cones look like flowers. Another beautiful piece.
Thanks so much 😊
The flower illusion is so cool! With the magenta it reminds me of cherry blossoms.
It kind of does. Thank you very much!
Once again you nocked it out of the park. It is BEAUTIFUL!
Thank you so much!

Me too, thanks!

Designer Epoxy

Love the burl and the beefyness of the piece.
Thanks again Jim
Thank you!
Sprague Thought for the Day - "Something like that..." This advice will help you keep your sanity over any perfectionist tendencies you may have! Jim, you have convinced me of the beauty of thick bowls! The depth of the pine cones on the sides is so powerful. And you were right about keeping the "flowers" on the edge. They add so much!! Thank you!
Awesome, thanks for watching!
Love those casted cones and of course we love designer epoxy
Thank you very much!
Jim you have done it again another winner love it 😊

Watching the pour and "Shorter cones" came to mind.
Flowers & skeletons .... It is a funeral vase! LOL
A thick bowl means more bang for the bucks of the buyer.
Thanks so much!
I love everything about this bowl. The burl, the flower petals lol, and the colors. Designer Epoxy

Love the flower edge and the burl is beautiful! Thanks Jim!

What a beautiful piece. So much to see. It reminds me a a pine mountainside at dawn. Love it!
Thank you so much!
Hi Jim,
Hope you and your wife have a great vacation.
Thanks 👍
Again, you have shown what can be done with pieces from nature and Designer Epoxy can wow you with. B
Thank you very much!
I wasn't sure I would like the chunkiness, but you would lose so much of the character of the wood and your lovely pine cone flowers if you went any thinner. Live it!
Thank you very much!
Love the frosted pinecones. They do look like flowers. The colors are awesome.
Thank you! Cheers!
Love the maple burl, pine cone idea, and the color. Another outstanding piece.
Thank you very much!
Just gotta say GORGEOUS! That burl is so beautiful and the flowers offset it perfectly 😍.

Fabulous piece as always! Designer Epoxy does it again!
Thank you very much!

Leaving the bowl thick was a brilliant move. I absolutely love the pinecone "flower" effect. The entire rim with that beautiful burl and the flowers. This piece would be a great addition to an art collector's collection. Beautiful work Jim!! Cheers!!!

I like it being beefy. Not everything needs to be thin and frail looking. I know I could throw keys in this or put fruit or anything in it, with confidence. Beautiful. Designer Epoxy.
Well said! Thank you very much!
Absolutely love the pinecone forest!
Thank you very much!
