I worked at that building for a day. I worked for Priebe for 3 months and quickly realized they lied through their teeth about “treating their officers with the most respect” POS is what management there is.
Since Mr. Payne was too nice to say her name, it’s Kim. An older heavy set blonde lady with long hair. She should be ashamed of herself, and the public should know who she is so that we can all shame her.
The first rule of being a supervisor in a job like this: backup your employees! She was disrespectful, unprofessional, and downright wrong.
This is why it’s so hard being a good security officer. We’re underpaid for the danger we face, and completely ignored when we need help.
The turnover rate for security is so high because no one feels respected doing what we do. I’ve worked for multiple security companies over the years, and they’re all the same.
It sucks! I love doing security, I love helping people, but I don’t want the responsibility of having to jail people, that’s why I’m not a cop. We need more professional companies who understand that we’re not just numbers in a system, we’re real human beings with families.

Sadly I have to agree with his supervisor if he was an unarmed security officer regardless if it was his personal property or not his job was to observe and report not to chase them down not to detain them until law enforcement could be called. He should have simply documented all evidence made a copy of the video evidence and submitted everything over to law enforcement at that time but by pursuing an attempting to detain he actually broke the law. He had no legal authority to attempt to detain them. Before anyone can question my knowledge I have done this job for 26 years and know the do's and don'ts of security better than most people that have no affiliation with security at all, I might also add that I work as an armed supervisor so yes I most definitely know the laws and regulations regarding armed and unarmed security.

Yeah as a Security Account Manager I agree, it's a unfortunate situation, but a Security Officer only job is to Observe and Report!
