- As the Balakot strike was happening, the Indian Navy was sending Pakistan a strategic message by deploying its forces in forward areas of the Northern Arabian Sea. Outgoing Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), Admiral Sunil Lanba hands over command on May 31, 2019. Speaking before that to SNI’s Editor-in-Chief Nitin Gokhale, Admiral Lanba outlines how surveillance showed the Pakistan Navy was hugging its coastline post the air strike on a Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorist camp in Pakistan. After handing over his post of Chairman Chiefs of Staff Committee (COSC) to Air Chief, Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa, Admiral Lanba also talks about the tri-services agencies (Cyber, Space, Special Forces) that have been set up. Admiral Lanba also talks about his legacy, key naval projects, having three carrier battle groups, progress on submarine building and acquisition and manpower shortages. The outgoing chief outlines the plans for a 200-ship and 500 aircraft navy and how bilateral logistical agreements are already having an effect, with Indian navy ships refueling from U.S. tankers.

The Navy has traditionally been given the smaller slice of the pie so they've been for indigenization. Other services never had the need to because of a proportionately high budget , this has been the best thing with the Navy. This will help us in the very near future.

3- IAF has already presented radar signatures of shot F16 BTW they were taken from phalynx AWACS of israeli origin and israel also has F16 so they can easily identify F16s

@@subham841 yes bro.. He made that statement but correct his stance within hour after realizing and getting accurate report during fog of war that there was only one pilot. I cant understand why you guys so staunchly believe his first statement to be correct while retracted statemnt to be incorrect. It may be because it make india,'s numerical losses more shameful. So first statemnt may be easy pill to swallow.
@@zeeshaniltaf497 i ll have to disagree with you. If you had followed the incidents properly then you ll know that there was not just one statement that was contradicted. The use of f16s were contemptibly denied and later accepted. There were two (indian) pilots which ISPR confirmed by a tweet and later by press conference which came hours later. Indian media is lousy enough to publish the second pilot name address and childhood only if there was any such pilot ever existed ( no pun intended) .there is a history of pakistan which makes us believe on the facts presented to us by our media more authentic than yours own ISPR . Dont forget Kargil where the pakistan govt denied shamefully the involvement of army. Later confirmed by his highness musharraf himself lol.

Please go and see indian press conferences and see if they have changed any of their statements in any consecutive press conferences. This doesnt quite usually happens in any part of the modern warfare.
@@subham841 look hiding any sort of loss in modern day environment where social media is everywhere and people can make video of anything they witness, it is near to impossible that someone can hide such major loss of jet with some pilot named shahzuzdin(btw such kind of names do not exit here) anyhow i want to make a point here that it is not 1999 that people can be fooled by mere statement of the gov. They have their own sources i e social media in their hand so hiding any loss is not digestible for me. One more thing about two pilot confusion that two army units identify same pilot and reported to higher authorities which may led to confusion in the start..

There is one very important question that I humbly think that should have been addressed and i.e.how our navy will stand up with chinese aggression?
India already have an edge over the chinese for now. If you look at the number of aircraft carriers of china and india then they are nearly 3 and 2 respectively so it is not possible for the chinese to come into Indian ocean up for a fight with having just 3 aircraft carriers because they lack the capability to do such long range missions. Then we sit on the jugular of chinese trade in the Indian ocean and Indian navy is strong enough to block that trade either in gulf of eden or strait of malaca and we have Andaman and nicobar islands that sit right at opening of malaca strait. And if china tries to enter Indian ocean to protect their trade the Indian airforce and navy will pound them with everything they have got and also India navy has been working on the worlds largest coastal surveillance network that spreads throughout the Indian ocean that includes nations like maldives,seachelles also they are building their bases in some areas of the Indian ocean and due to recent agreements with nations like french and americans we can use their bases for replenishment of our warships in case of war.
He should focus on training of sailors about proper closing hatches of submarines before mission starts. Because if they don't close the hatch your submarine would become useless. It's an important lesson. First focus on that. War etc you can do once you learn how to close hatches.

Automated safety systems in submarine won't allow any hatch to remain open like that, they have inbuilt redundancy, only clueless fools believe in such news.
