I am soooo PROUD. You're a DOCTOR! As a Doctor you have the money to put down on this product and THAT'S OK! But thank you for reminding your audience that WE probably DON'T have that kind of money! If you send it back that's OK TOO! If you had it HOTTER you would get more _Silk like results_ but then you would run the risk of Heat Damage. Beautician's blow dry as much as they can and THEN FLAT IRON for a Silk Press, my guess is that's NOT what you were trying to do so the dryer worked fine.

If you want a sleeker look use a light leave in condition (I like the Moroccan oil leave in or tgin green tea) and follow up with an antihumectant spray like color wow! Dream coat , créeme of nature anti humidity mist or a serum like Paul Mitchell skin serum and olaplex no 9. If type 4 hair doesn’t havent enough moisture before a blowout or silk press then it will revert no matter what tool is used. I love my Revair so far, just off of it allowing me stretch my hair with less mechanical damage. I wear my hair one week braided or twisted and the next week in a braid/twist out . No damage so far, I feel like I’m retaining more length

i’m not sure how you feel about using brushes in your hair but i find that using the revair on wet-ish (slightly wetter than damp) hair and starting off with the low setting , removing after the hair is 85% dry, brush with a denman / tangle teezer & then drying it again on the high setting helps get a sleeker blowout ! i really think that brushing your hair in between helps the revair smooth out the texture.

I like my rev-air due to fact they it helps me to reduce breakage versus using blow dryer.. I’m a 4 type and my hair doesn’t get sleek either it gets just like yours. @@thecurlydoc I'm waist length too and I have a Revair and I use mine on the highest setting. Your hair looks like mine and I think it look great! Also make sure your filter is set properly so it heats up correctly. My hair gets a lot straighter when it's still damp other wise your scalp will be warm if you leave it on your hair longer. But over ALL I love it!!! BTW, it's never going to get my hair bone straight, and I'm ok with that. The fact that it saves ME time blow drying my hair and stretches it is EVERYTHING! BTW, I still use heat protection and if I do flat iron I will only due one pass through. Hope this helps. Yeah I thought I heard you say you put oil on your hair first. I've not done that but the first time I used the dryer I felt like my hair was stiff and I basically attributed that to the heat protectant that I used. I feel I need a liquid heat protectant. Nevertheless I decided to buy the Color Wow Dream Coat for anti-humidity and of course is not humid right now but I did go ahead and try it and it has heat protectant in it then I use the dryer and my hair was more flowy and silky it seemed. I put oil on after but I wonder if the Color Wow Dream Coat protects from humidity, how does the oil penetrate my strands. It felt good anyway and I didn't detect that reversion like you were getting there. That was one thing I didn't like about it to begin with as well. I don't like straight straight hair but I did want a little more elongation and I want hairstyles to be the same when I leave home as when I return home so can't wait to try that product in actual humid weather or I suppose I could stand in a steamy shower for a little while or steamy bathroom with the water running. I don't ever want to flat iron my hair so this dryer does what I want so far. I've never seen you before don't know how I came across this video but Happy New Year to you and your viewers!😊

I think you thought it was supposed to make your hair almost sleek straight? I think it does what it’s supposed to do. My problem with it is that it’s too heavy for me and for that reason, I seldom use it. If I had a daughter or someone here to use it on other than myself, I’d be 100% happy. Thanks! I talked to the customer service folks and they said people usually get better results if the hair is wetter 🤷🏾‍♀️ I tried that and I guess it was a little less puffy. My issue is more that the marketers and UA-camrs make it seem like the product could eliminate the flat iron step if you want a nice full but sleek blowout. There also should probably be marketing specifically based on hair type. The type 3 girlies can achieve the sleek look, but it seems like that’s not the case for the type 4 girlies. I think I’m ultimately gonna keep it though. A few more tries gave me results I’m okay with. I’d still rate the machine itself like. 3-3.5 out of 5

I really wanted to love this dryer but I don't. Its obnoxiously loud and it hurts my arm to use. I can see it being beneficial for stretching out braids and twists or for blow outs that don't need to be slick for silk presses, but I mainly wanted to have this to get silky straight blowouts with minimal heat.

THIS!!! You perfectly summarized my feelings and reasons for disappointment

Don't forget everyone's hair texture is different. So when stretched hair is different from those that are 3A-4C.

You’re as cute as a button and very funny! Why is there so much work to change the hair? I think it’s beautiful the way it was before you tested that hideous looking equipment. You’re beautiful

Thank you so much!! And you’re so right. I usually wear my hair curly so idk why I bothered to spend so much on a blow dryer 🤡 but here I am lol. It’s making me love the blow out look tho. I wore my hair blown out to a gala and I have to say…the look slayed!!

It's a blow dryer not a flat iron lol

I’m aware 😅 lol I’ve used many blow dryers before that give me sleeker results. This video was mostly to help folks have the right expectations of what this $400 product can achieve

You Aldo didn’t have the heat up.

I did! After the first test at 7 tension with level 1 heat, I did the rest of my hair on level 7 tension and level 2 heat 🤷🏾‍♀️🤔

Why are you comparing your hair with other people on tge internet? Your hair is special and unique to you. Someone with looser curl pattern may get different results but your hair? Is beautiful for sure.

I see nothing wrong with your ends. Is it split? Fairy knots? if not, they are fine. Hair grows unevenly. Textured hair will always curl up, looking rough. We be cutting hair that is not necessary, unless even length is what a person wants...

Check out my video about my braiding experience in Nigeria. The ends were RAGGEDY when I took out the braids. Knots and spilt ends everywhere!! But otherwise I agree. I don’t care so much about evenness because I RARELY flat iron my hair. Last time was 2021

It’s literally a fancy (expensive) vacuum cleaner 😭😭 I saw a video where someone actually just used a vacuum cleaner and had similar results 💀 I forget who the UA-cam was
