I used my revair for years, and the best method to not tie your arms is to start at your crown and work your way down. Also, turn up the suction on the body of the machine so you don't have to use as much heat for as long, finish off with no heat/cool suction to lock your cuticles, and don't leave the suction around your edges/ sensitive areas for too long. It won't cause breakage but it can become a little sore if your aren't careful.
Your hair looks amazing and one you get used to the machine it'll be your new bff. Took me from 6+ hr hair days to 2 hours or less from wash to detangling and deep conditioner to end of drying process. My hair is now almost 24 inches, but I went from 14in to 22 during my time using this machine.

I have the old version and there is definitely a Learning curve. But I’m able to dry my hair in less than 20 minutes with this thing! Any other blow dryer, like the Revlon takes about 45 minutes. I have very thick, mid back length hair. I also love how my hair does not feel piping hot when I use it. I’m hoping that means less chance for damage. 😅 I would say experiment with how big your sections are. The machine can probably handle more than you might think.

I finally find the right balance of product, tool and routine for my hair care but it was still quite time consuming and as of late been dealing with some health concerns. Without going into details, my circumstances made me decide it was time to take a closer look at the Rev Air and for me, I think this would be totally worth it.

It takes some getting used to, but after about the third time of trial and error, I achieved maybe the best blowout I ever done with the RevAir. Setting 4 and heat level 2 work best for me. Dang I had the exact opposite experience with the RevAir and I have the 1st gen which is heavier lol. Using other dryers with the tension method used to take me up to 2 hours to dry. I get my entire head done in 20mins with the RevAir. I would suggest watching the how to video on their website for our hair type and use it exactly like that with those settings. Also don't use any heavy products on your hair like leave ins or oils before drying with it...just a light heat protectant. Using the lowest heat setting was better than high heat for me. As for it being heavy I got use to it pretty quickly considering that was the biggest con IMO

I was shocked right along with you on your first section. I yelled "Girl!" so loud bcuz that worked so good. Your hair always looks thick and beautiful. I was not ready for that stretch. I want one of these so bad, and keep watching video after video on all types of hair to see how well it works for each. I have 3b-3c hair that shrinks 4 full inches. It's good to hear about the learning curve struggle bcuz not too many people talk about that.

I just bought myself the new version for my birthday! It arrived yesterday and I used it for the first time today. I saw you posted this video after! Wow! ✨💖✨ Best tip I could give with also only using it once: try sitting in an armchair. My arms didn't tire, but I also didn't do a takedown right before the dry 😉 Imagine if you were brush chasing with your handheld dryer instead 👀👀

Your hair is thick and beautiful, by the way 👍. I just received my RevAir for my wedding anniversary. If you detangle well, use the high heat setting and a suction level of 5-6, maybe even 7, you will see incredibly quick and stunning results. The lower settings are for less coily hair types that don't need a great deal of heat and tension to dry. Looking forward to your post-learning curve update!

No other dryer is easier to use or can provide less risk of breakage on kinky coily hair. Holding the wand is way easier than the constant back and forth motion of using a blow dryer + paddle/bristle brush or blow dryer with a comb attachment. 😐
I’ve had mine almost 4 years. Used every other week for 3 of those 4 years. Highest heat. Highest tension. 10 sections. Dry the section for 15 secs. Take out and detangle with my kazmaleje brush. Reinsert the section for 30-45 seconds. Cool shot for 5 secs.
I can do my whole head in 20mins.
Helps with length retention as it helps reduce breakage and single strand knots that lead to breakage 😊
Oh yeah ETA: ZERO heat damage even with combining it with silk presses.
Between Feb 2021 and Jan 2022 I clipped my ends every month until I got a 3-4in cut in Jan. Hair Started at arm pit length. Total of 12 inches of hair cut in that time frame. I Started using better quality products with light protein and noticed how much healthier my hair was growing in so I wanted to slowly cut the old hair off.
My hair is now at Bra Strap length and I’m almost 6ft tall.

I have a suggestion, something which works for me when I am doing twists and my arms get tired. Try using this device while seated at a desk or table. That way, you can rest your elbow on the surface and tip your head to use the RevAir . The top of your head would be easier, especially. The back could be reached mostly by resting the red hair against your neck and shoulder, almost like you’re cuddling a snake end it wants to kiss your hair. It might be a bit more awkward than using a desk, but, if you sit on the chair and rest your forearms on your knee, you could have your hair flip forward and let it fall into the RevAir. HTH
Edit: I just had a goofy idea which seems sound the more I think of it. If you have a crutch, you could bungee cord the business end of the RevAir to the top horizontal remember. I always call it the Twinkie. Anyway, securely attaching it with no wiggle would be wise, since it would be tough to return if you try to explain how you injured it. Anyway, the crutch could support the weight and you could sit in a chair and maneuver the dryer, mostly by leaning into it or leaning towards yourself. The caveat would be making sure the foot of the crutch is set against a heavy, and moving object, like the wall or a heavy piece of furniture. Try it seated and standing, since crutches and star puppies vary in height. I wouldn’t recommend relying on zip ties, since I find they fail when we’ll wait and torque come into play. Nothing against duct tape Other than residue.

This review is 1000% spot on. I have the old version. It's loud, and cumbersome but it works. Funny enough the less hair you put into the dryer, the faster its dries and the straighter the hair gets. The price range ain't no joke too but I was able to pay in installments which took the pressure off my pockets a lil bit. Also because the old version is so big, storage can be a challenge. Thank goodness it came with a storage box! Overall no regrets from my end.
