    The great thing with the revair is that you get dried, stretched hair without rough handling with other types of blow dryers. Over time you really see the cumulative difference of that gentler treatment. But if you don't normally stretch your hair at all, you're not improving over anything. Btw, I do only about 50 seconds on a section and suction of only 4 (high heat), but make sure my hair is wet before I start, not just slightly damp. I think that's why they include the water bottle. The wetter the hair when you start, the smoother the final results. Also high tension makes the ends tangle more and longer times per section make the hair rougher. I was going to return mine but instead of sending me product they sent advice to do what I say above, and that's what made the difference for me. I now love my revair.

      Thanks for this! I'll try that next time! How big do you make the sections?

    • @IndigooceanOrg
      @IndigooceanOrg 7 місяців тому +1

      @@thecurlydoc the same diameter as the opening of the nozzle, so that my hair can't bat about inside, getting tangled, and so that the roots get completely dry. So about 3 inches in diameter. Works out to be about 12 sections for my entire head, with medium hair density.

    I love my Revair. I would give it a 4 out of 5. It doesn't get my hair as smooth as I would want ....but it's definitely easier to blow out my long kinky hair. It's perfect blowing out for mini twists. When I flat iron, I run my old dryer with comb attachment to smooth it out more. It's definitely a splurge....

      Very much a splurge! But I’ll have to try my mini/smedium twists out on the blown out hair!

    Not an honest review because you couldn’t have had such an impressive outcome and transformation if the machine hadn’t done its job and wasn’t that good! You need to give credit where is due!

      actually no. my hair gets much straighter with regular handheld $20 blow dryers. The tension method of the revair is great for minimizing breakage, but I've gotten much sleeker blowouts with basic more affordable blowdryers (they are also more likely to cause breakage). That's why I give the revair 3.5 star review. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts tho!

      @@thecurlydoc I agree with your 3.5 star rating. The machine still left a great deal of texture in your hair as before. The difference in the final outcome this time is the fact that you changed the process by wetting your hair more and it also could be the products used. This I believe gave it more shine and body. Before it appeared more dried out and stiff.

    I think it may be the heat level you have it on. Most people I see with a more straight look are using the setting 7 tension and heat. Try investing in a heat protectant, so that you can use a higher heat level. Loved your review!

      Aw yay! I’m glad you liked the review. I’m enjoying documenting the different parts of my hair growth journey. And I’ve been using the RevAir on highest heat and tension (even in this video). It doesn’t seem to cause any heat damage, but I definitely need to get a heat protectant asap! One of the other ladies recommended a humidity fighting serum that also acts as a heat protectant

    U need to put it on the highest setting 7and keep it in longer, there’s NOTHING wrong with the dryer. No offense it’s User Error

      Hey hey! I did both of those things and it still didn’t come out that great. But in the end, I love my hair and love how healthy it is. For a $400+ product, the RevAir shouldn’t take specific nuanced instructions to get ideal results. But I ended up keeping it because the results are good enough, though not great in MY opinion. ☮️

    Yes please do another video on the 3.5 rating and also maybe a video on how you install the twists ❤

    It's just too cumbersome for me. And the price point for me is a no. If I had a professional salon or if I had a house full of 6 girls using it, maybe I use a simple hair dryer paddle brush which gets my hair straight and dry quickly. Your hair looks amazing!

    • @thecurlydoc
      @thecurlydoc  8 місяців тому

      Thank you!! And I agree with you! The price point makes it something that’s most economical if you plan to use it often. I honestly don’t straighten my hair that much so I kind of fell into the hype of the product. But here we are lol. I’m going to try to use it every couple of months to help with length retention this year.
