Check out my Dyson Supersonic video review to see how I acquired my dryer for half the price ua-cam.com/video/6KRcWq9SsYU/v-deo.html
Can you try the Shark 100 AWA airwave, which has a similar attachment, and could be a dupe for Revair.
I decided to watch this while blow-drying my hair with my old 6 or 7 years babyliss hairdryer. It just broke. It started to smoke and stopped.
I still have half of my hair to do. 😒
I can’t believe my blow dryer got jealous. 😂
Thanks for this review. 😊
Oh no! That's so not righteous
😂😂😂😂
Of course the dyson wld work better because it uses more heat. But if you want to avoid the damage, revair is where its at.👏🏾👏🏾
That's what I'm thinking
The Dyson has multiple heat settings. Cool, low, medium, and high.
Thank you for playing the sound. I have been looking for a video with it. I bought one for my wife, hopefully she enjoys it.
No problem!
@ALove4Me I hope @PATTERNBeauty sends you a blow dryer so you can compare all three. Especially on fine hair. I appreciate your level of detail.
Thank you!
The comb attachment on the Dyson is the best one I've ever used. I do regular silk presses on myself and I can blowdry my whole head in twenty minutes I use low speed and level two heat on damp hair. One of the best investments I've made!
It really is smooth!
Great comparison review. I bought my RevAir two years ago around Christmas and I have used it more in the past three months than over the course of those two years. I use it to stretch my hair for styling and I have totally gotten over the loud noise and its weighty bulkiness. I absolutely love it! I have not tried the Dyson. Your bubble ponytail is gorgeous!
Thanks for sharing!
Such a cute style❤ Thank you for sharing, Achia!
Glad you like it!
I had a rev-air. It was fun at first, but after awhile it became an inconvenience to have to pull it out whenever I needed to blow dry. It’s just big and unconventional (in my opinion.) I ended up finding myself reverting to my conair blow dryer with the comb attachment which I liked for the ease but hated the quality of the blow dryer. I ended up selling the rev-air and bought the dyson. I love the dyson! It’s fast and convenient. Would recommend.
Agreed. I also purchased the revair for Black Friday . I do see how the revair can do less heat damage but it didn’t get my “3c hair “ STRAIGHTISH the way a blowout usually does when I did a diy silk press . The revair just made my hair flat and dry . I’m going to purchase the Dyson because I have a gut feeling I will like it better . Also I diffuse my hair so Dyson will be more convenient plus the size of the Dyson for travel .
@@curlieeloks3032 yes girl the dyson is definitely more versatile and if you aren’t using heat a lot I would say you have no need to worry. You’re going to love it you will never look back 😂
Thanks for sharing!
@@curlieeloks3032 it takes practice to get hair straightish with the revair… another UA-camr video helped me figure out something. I can get my hair flat before using my flat iron… I have 3c/4a/4b. I might get the new supersonic nural for diffuser options. So if you still have your revair give it another try.
Thank you for this thorough review
My pleasure!
I'm glad high/4 worked for you. That's what I do also. And yep, textured but that means less damage to me, and I am putting into a protective style after I blowout. Thanks for confirming what I suspected, even though I don't have a Dyson.
Thanks for sharing!!
Shame they don’t sell the Revair here in the UK so I use the Dyson which I quite like but would still love to try the Revair. Thank you for your review.
Sorry to hear that
I just purchased the Revair mainly for my daughters hair. It so worth it to me to not have have to pull a comb or brush through her hair.
I’m going to try that high heat/low suction method
Thanks for sharing!!
Please where can I get revair in the uk?
I stuck with Dyson after trying RevAir. Rev is a neat technology but it's like a mini vacuum cleaner with attachments, the hose and base. It takes up too much space. I also have Dyson accessories so I'm in that eco-system. I also didn't get amazing results with RevAir despite research and following directions. Finally, I work out almost daily yet holding that wand up for several sections was tiring. I was sweating out the hair I dried. I can see the benefit for trimming my own hair but I'll make it work with Dyson.
Luv my Revair. I use it every wash so I luv that gentleness.
Thanks for sharing
I just purchased the RevAir in December and LOVE IT!!! I appreciate the tips you shared on using the RevAir. I used After Pay and paid in 4 installments every 2 weeks. That's another option
Thank you for sharing. This is probably how I will purchase it
@SandySI you're welcome. Like me, not everyone can drop that kind of money at one time. Also, I didn't want to put it on my credit card. Anyway, I'm glad I could help.
Glad to help!
I have both and use them in different ways. They are both good tools.
Thanks for watching!
I have the revair and absolutely love it. I hardly ever straighten my hair so I couldn’t justify buying the dyson and I’m more than okay with that. I actually don’t mine the noise of the RevAir. Love the look. With this top i would wear some body shimmer (not too much) a dainty choker and hoops. I’m a gold/rose gold type of girl.
Yes, body shimmer is a must!
Omg…ur hair has grown so long just seeing this okayyyy✌🏾
Thankks for watching!
Love that look. I have both but I tend to use my Dyson more. I actually don’t use either much but when I’m blowing it out, it’s the Dyson.
Thanks for sharing
Does the dyson makes your hair feel dryer?
my hair is too thick for a reg blow dryer after drying my hair for 2 hours 🤣decided to invest in a Dyson…no regrets
Great review and your hair turned out so cute!
Thank you so much!!
great review❤i was thinking of purchasing the dyson and this was helpful info. any thoughts on the new pattern beauty dryer? would love to see you review that one.
I'll try it if they send it to me
I have the revair and love it, because I'm not interested in straightening/further heat styling. I've been enjoying wearing stretched blown out styles as a part of my hair care, because I get fewer tangles than wash n gos. I also enjoy it for stretching an old wash and go to extend the life if I need more days and want it to not get too tangled. It's fast and easy. The noise and weight aren't bothersome.
I am interested in getting a hand held dryer also though, for diffusing my wash n go.
Thanks for sharing!!
Great video! If you want a machine just for blowouts then the Revair is it. But for me, I only blow my hair out for a trim and that’s it. So it wasn’t worth the cost for me. I ended up going with the Dyson because of all it can do besides blowing out your hair. My wash and go’s and twist outs dry so fast with the Dyson.
Thanks for sharing
Looove the bubble ponytail, and love the comparison. I think the Revair is just too bulky for me. I have a Dyson that I bought 20% off and used my points from Ulta, which took another $100 off. So it was a great deal for me. Since I rarely blowdry my hair, I think the Dyson is well suited for me. I also love the comb attachment.
Thanks for sharing!!
As my mama would say, girl you’ve got some hair on your head. Love your videos!!😊
😊 thank you
New owner of the Rev Air, I love it. I don't mind how big it is.
Thanks for sharing
Love my Dyson! It's so easy. The Revair just seemed so heavy and inconvenient...
Thanks for watching!
Your makeup always looks so fresh and natural 😍 do you do eyelash extensions? If so do you recommend them?
Thank you! I've never tried eyelash extensions
I LOVE that the Dyson is purple, and yes for me, that was hella loud.😮
I had to scoop up this color!
Wow the Revair really showed out!!!!
Yep
thanks for the comparison, do you think you'll want to compare the new Pattern blow dryer with the Dyson?
If they send it to me, then yes
Took decades to realize if I wanted silky flowing results I couldn't use leave in. I've been testing diff products on small sections before I do my whole head. 🤣
Aveda or Motions foam & a spray heat protectant was enough, my hair looked & felt like silk! I went back to the website that helped me transition to bum length natural hair, MoKnowsHair (she has UA-cam videos also). I also left it down after my deep conditioner to fro out, then used the foam & stretched overnight so it was dry b4 blow drying & flat ironing to cut down on heat. I'm terrified of ruining my curls pattern after 9yrs with no heat. Now I wanna wash & make sure it reverts & matches the rest of my hair, then I'll do my whole head.
Y'all know how much we went through to transition, I'm not about to go through that again because of heat damage!
Thanks for sharing
Yesss motions, I’m getting nostalgic!
😅 im confused on your process you use foam the night before then next day use revair
@@friedchicken892 What?
@@Rose-zf1jw Which heat protectant do you use and whats the process
Okay so I have fine relaxed hair. I tried the RevAir and I find that it tangles my fine hair. Like it doesn’t look tangled at first, but once I go through it with a comb it gets stuck at the ends, and then I have to manually take out the tangles. I read the higher the speed the worse for fine hair. And when I checked the filter, there were tiny broken pieces of hair in it 🫣I also found that while I don’t believe it will cause heat damage , but that it dries my hair out, like pulls out the moisture. I think the dryer is still great, but for people with coarse thick natural hair. I returned mine.
Thanks for sharing
My hair used to do that when it was relaxed. That's the end of your hair breaking off. Breaking the bond of our hair weakens it. Used to have tiny pieces on my bathroom floor after styling it!
I also thought I had fine hair for almost 2 decades while it was relaxed. After transitioning my bangs are about as thick as my whole head was 🤣
Seriously, my hairs themselves started growing in thicker. Started relaxing when I was young(with "just for me").
I just wish there was all this knowledge, community & love for black hair when I was younger!
@@Rose-zf1jw Yeah it sounds like you had coarse hair the whole time and mistook it for fine! My hair is fine natural or relaxed, I just recently went back relaxed a few years ago I was natural for ten years. Having fine or coarse hair has to do with how your hair grows genetically and nothing can change it. Just like we can’t change our natural hair texture. Our hair strands appears “fuller” natural because the actual cuticle isn’t broken down like it is when it’s relaxed so it looks different. Plus having relaxed hair can change your porosity so that makes a difference in appearance too! But the hairs are still going to be fine or coarse underneath it all.
Well stated. 💯@@MsStarryNights
Hello 👋🏾 Question: should the vents in the machine stay covered with foam? I just bought one and new to this.
According to the instructions I received, yes
Off topic, but do you still love the Kazmaleje brush/paddle comb? Do you still use it on a regular basis?
Yes and yes
No one does a Lip like you boo ♥
Thank you!
I know you have a video regarding your greys, but I’m responding here. 😂 Can I recommend using a blonde shade semi permanent hair color on your entire head? This will blend your greys to look similar to your highlights. It will look streaked and AMAZING! I have more grey than you, and I use a reddish semi permanent hair color. I love it! If you need me to insert pics, I will.
I will at some point, but I am not coloring my hair again anytime soon
Well I suppose comparison to the other dryer it’s noisy 😂 I like it quieter hair look s good just the same
Ladiesssss and gentlemen ... let's get ready to rumbleeeeee
😂
I Got a Dyson for my bday and yup the smoothness is crazy. The fact that on low heat i see no steam coming from it is so weird. i’m used to seeing tons of smoke or steam but not with this also the comb attachment i thought was crazy but when i tried it i was like damn and it works quick. Buyyyy it lol 😊
Thanks for sharing!
Hi, I’m curious 🤔, what temperature did you have the Dyson set on?
If I didnt't say it in the video, it's been too long for me to remember
Where did one of your viewers lift the many different ways she uses the Rev Air Dryer?
check the comments of this video ua-cam.com/video/EQIMAG9wO5M/v-deo.html
My silvers show when my hair is straight too!
that's when I notice how many grays I truly have
Pretty ponytail. What heat protectant did you use? I just tried Beyond The Zone turn up the heat and I hate it. Made my hair hard and stiff. What did I do wrong? I used the Rev Air Dryer. Only my second time and I have no idea how you got it for $230?
Try chi silk infusion.
@@BionAvastar3000 okay I will make note of that one and see if the local store has it here. Thank you!
I do not like the Beyond The Zone protectant at all. No, do not use a serum or oil with the RevAir, use a blow dry spray or no heat protectant at all
@@ALove4Me good so is not just me with regards to Beyond The Zone. Do you have a blow dry spray that you would recommend and is it really safe to use without a protectant?
No is in regards to not using heat protectant serum. Blow dry sprays are heat protectant
What's the name of the blow dry spray you use.
Kenra Platinum, it's linked in the description box
You have fine hair 😮 I have fine hair…but lower density I guess lol
Yes, I have A LOT of hair.
When I click on blow dry spray from the description box, it doesn't take me there just takes me to an Ulta page with really nothing on it
the link should work now
@@ALove4Me thanks we'll check it.
It's pretty loud,I'm kind of shocked but definitely not a deal breaker.
Thanks for watching
I always get tickled every time you say you have a lot of hair.😊
I just hate that the revair isn’t as portable
Hopefully one day they can figure out how to make that happen
I am wondering why you think your hair is fine? I only ask cause it seem thick & far from fine
I KNOW that my strands are fine
I would have both if I could 💋💋
😘😘
Now we need to convince you to dry the pattern blow dryer lol jk I want you to be able to retire one day
lol, ask them to send it to me and that could happeen.
Omg… FedEx just Delivered Mine Today!! Although it’s Not my Wash Day, I was Curious Af🤪 So I took out a Braid in my hair and did a Mini Wash on that small Section. WHEN👏🏽I👏🏽Tell👏🏽You, it Exceeded all my Expectations🥰!! Btw, If you Don’t know the Back Story of The Creator of RevAir, I Recommend you Doing a quick Google Search. The Story is Interesting.
Do you get stiffness? I've only used twice and I attributed it to either my leave-in conditioner and or the heat protectant. Also felt sticky. This time I left the leave-in conditioner off and used a new Beyond The Zone heat protectant and it seen the worst so I think it's the heat protectant because the first one I use IC Fantasia or something like that was better. Or maybe it's my setting as indicated here.
@@sable7114 I Have Long Healthy 4c hair, and I Personally Don’t use a heat Protectant unless I’m using a flat iron or high-high Heat, In my opinion, a Heat Protectant Is Not needed(that’s just me). I Would only use any Product after I use the RevAir🤷🏽♀️NOT BEFORE But to each is own
@@applepie6559 yes I thought about that because they do ask you not to put oil on your hair before using it but throughout the shampoo process the last thing I did was rinse the deep conditioner out very well and then put the heat protectant on any more watery type. I know that they sell something that you can put on before drying but I would like to think that it would work with the heat protecting of my choice. They already have most of my coins! After the first use, I almost thought I'd lost my curls because missing my hair with water did not cause it to curl again and it usually does but with this shampoo all the girls were still there so maybe it was the silicone in the first heat protectant or just not enough water. Find setting to that thing feels kind of hot near my scalp so I'm concerned about not using a heat protectant. Also think maybe I should keep it on setting one and decrease the tension. Is anyone using the cool shot on the dryer. Maybe I shouldn't use that.
Will do, thanks for the heads up
@@sable7114What heat protectant do you recommend now
