- This is proven with science. Ever wondered how some golfers seem to swing the club slower yet hit the golf ball far, follow these super simple steps which for me made everything click. You will achieve an effortlessly powerful swing which generates MORE distance, hit driver a lot further with minimal swing changes. Honestly this is going to make such a different to your game.

*Please think about the swing this way going forward you know it makes sense!*
Perfect timing been struggling with this for last couple of weeks. The idea of slow slow fast through impact makes senses. I knew I had to be fast after impact but was losing all my speed before. Slower back swing is the key for me. Cheers Alex
Cheers Jullian I hope that it helps you
Great stuff. Things I always try to focus on. Couple of thoughts and things I do is sometimes when playing, and things not going as great, I will swing left handed only. I can't get too fast back and then let it fire through. Forces a pause also because no right arm to dominate the swing. Also, a great tip from VJ once told on the range is to think of the number 18 during the swing. Say it. If you say it too fast it seems odd. Slowly said works. Now do the swing the same way saying it.
Best explanation of the swing & speed timings I've seen in a very long time , well presented & concise & to the point , very well done M8.
Awesome, thank you!
Excellent video Alex. This has been my number one golf swing flaw. I realized this from watching your previous videos. It’s always helpful to drill this into my head though. Thanks.
This is a great swing thought, i believe i have been rushing down from the top lately. Very timely for me Alex. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Unable to play at the moment due to a hand operation, really keen to get out there and try this. It's good to hear the impact it has with others though. Brilliant videos
Tried this on the range earlier, as I’d been watching some of Harrington swing speed training videos, Boom!

Great Video ❤
Love to hear it!!!
Very cool does the watch provide your tempo reading?
That's a good thought I need to try for my rhythm. Thanks, Alex.
Any time!
I am struggling so much with my driver at the moment. I look forward to trying this out at the range.
Fantastic lesson!!!
excellent video. so helpful as always
Thank you
Genius 👏👏👏👏
I hope it helps!!!
Sam Snead! Classic smooth swinger who accelerated beautifully through impact. Hit it a MILE for the steel-persimmon-balata era.
Absolutely true 😊.
I hope it helps
Great vid! Does this translate to all Clubs (Woods, Irons, Wedges) too?
Makes perfect sense.
Thank you I hope that it helps
Hey Alex. Do you know of any swing speed data for the entire downswing (not just at impact). It would be interesting and informative to see your data and compare that to the average amateur who is struggling with speed.
Great Alex.
🎉🎉🎉🎉
Excellent tip 👏🏼
Glad you think so!
Tommy Armour had an entire chapter in his book entitled 'The Pause That Means Good Timing." In a discussion of Macdonald Smith's swing in this chapter, he said that the pause at the top made it impossible to achieve your fastest hand speed in the first half of the downswing, so you had no choice but to make it happen at the bottom.
Maybe the good, old TW drill (which he hated…) make a little pause an top of your backswing will help to get the feeling for this
Playing Wednesday and will definitely try this.
let me know how you get on by commenting on the uploads!!
@@AlexElliottGolf When I did it correctly it definitely worked. I could hit it far and straight. Something I will definitely continue to work on.
So so true, but when we get that feeling the brain on the next tee say's HIT IT
HARDER 🤪
When are your hands actually moving the fastest? During the slow part?
just during the fast part--- or make it feel that way
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you

thank you Ken
I'm waiting for Apple to come out with a set of golf clubs that include telemetry. You could finish a round and go home plug your clubs into the PC and get a Alex sounding voice to critique your game.😂
hahaha this could be a great idea hahaha
Called Arrcos
@@JT-bp1sfnot even close. Arccos is just gps, shot distance, etc. I think the other guy wants like a Dewiz type data set from club info
Just to clarify. The clubs would collect swing telemetry.
Alex
Great video. Just want to give you a tip you should change the title to say farther not further, because you’re talking about distance
Slower hands faster club head.
Because most people loose most of their power by accelerating too quickly at the top of the backswing.
You shouldn't really be accelerating your driver before your shaft is back at parallel to rhe ground in the downswing right as you're about to strike the ball.
Stealing someone else’s videos again this been out for a long time
