Trimming your kayak trolling motor up and down, in and out of the water. This is on a Pelican Catch 120, but will work with any kayak and a similar set up.
Could you make a different handle so you could lock to the forward part of handle. Then when you want to lower, slide ring/snap to the rear part of handle. Might be able to use existing handle?

Really nice setup! I see you pulled the locking mechanism out, does your motor kick out of the water when you flip it in reverse?
