    I JUST GOT MY HONDA REBEL 500 CC YESTERDAY AT A DEALER HERE AT MIAMI FLORIDA AND DROVED IT AFTER RIDING A HARLEY DAVIDSON FOR TNE PAST 15 YEARS I WAS THINKING .SINCE THE FIRST MOMEMT I SAW IT TO GET ONE AND THAT'S WHAT I DID IT RUNS PRETTY GOOD BESIDES THE LACK OF VELOCITY ON HIGH WAYS BUT IT'S POWERFUL. JUST GETTING USE TO IT. I'LL KEEP IN TOUCH DURING THE TIME I ENJOY RIDING IT AND WILL COMMEMT ABOUT IT FURTHER AHEAD.

    Having had my 2019 Rebel 500 since November, I rode it up until the salt on the roads and I can agree with all of the likes. Has been an absolute blast of a bike. I would love to replace the seat on mine as well. The previous owner put more padding in my seat but put a million staples in it that I had to fix. Considering I went from having a 170cc scooter its been a good proper first motorcycle and I feel it has been a good fit for me.

      That's awesome! I am some glad you have been enjoying it as your first motorcycle. I totally agree, the seat upgrade is a MUST. A bunch of staples doesn't make any sense to me at all... ride safe!

    You mean SECOND best bike! Rebel 1100, baby!! :D
    Like you said, They say its a cruiser, and though it sits like a cruiser, it kinda blends cruiser, naked, classic all in one.

      Haha for sure, I am sure the Rebel 1100 is a fantastic bike to own! Maybe one day I can call it the "best" bike. For sure, it's almost in it's own class of crusiers... maybe a "neo-cruiser"?

    Great vid! I had to upgrade the seat to make mine comfortable for me.

      For sure, 100% a MUST upgrade on the Rebel 500. I got sore after an hour and a half of riding on the stock seat. Ride safe!

    I only got to ride my Rebel 500 for a month and a half before I had to park it for the winter. Absolutely agree with your takes on this bike. It's straight up just a very comfortable bike to ride, and I'd recommend it to anyone as their first bike, especially if you wanna ride a cruiser. The clutch and friction zone are really forgiving, and I was very positively surprised at how nice it is to do uphill starts with. Way easier than the Yamaha MT-07 I had to ride during riding school.
    Definitely agree with your take on highway speeds as well. It's not a very 'peppy' bike on the highway, but you do get the speeds you need for the most part. I'm sure the bike will forgive me for thinking I could use at least another 150cc's or so at those speeds.
    All in all, love my rebel 500 to bits, and I can see myself riding it for several seasons without getting bored of it.

      Appreciate the input, I’m right there with you! I’m really surprised they had you ride an MT07 for the class, that’s a ton of power. You will enjoy your Rebel for a while, I have totally enjoyed it and this will be my 4th riding season with it coming up.
      Ride safe!

      In fairness I was taking the "heavy class" so that's why I was on the MT07. And to clarify, it's not like they started me out on it the first few lessons.

    Thank you for this video. Do you recommend this bike for a tall dude?

    • @evergreenmoto
      @evergreenmoto  4 місяці тому +1

      That’s a good question. My number 1 recommendation is that you go to a dealership and sit on the bike to see how it feels. Schedule a test ride if you can. I think taller people might get cramped on the Rebel 500 after longer rides, but there are forward control conversion kits and highway pegs that can help with that. I hope this helps!

    Thinking about downsizing from my Harley 48 Special to this. I would save 200 pounds and probably have more fun. What windshield do you have? Thanks for the video. Doug

    Thinking about this bike for my first bike come spring. Heard it sits low I’m 5’11 so hope I’m not too tall for it

    • @evergreenmoto
      @evergreenmoto  5 місяців тому

      I think you are totally fine, it might feel a little bit cramped on a long ride, but it’s not too bad otherwise. I’ve been wanting to get highway pegs to help stretch out a bit more. The Rebel 1100 does have a bit more room also.

    Give me the old Classic Coke Rebel back.

      Haha fair, they did a huge redesign for sure. It would be cool to see a throwback Rebel look with modern tech.
