    Welcome to my latest video where we are going to explore the differences between painting a panel with a spray can versus a spray gun! In this video, I will be showcasing the process of painting a panel using both methods and sharing my thoughts on the results.
    First, I begin by demonstrating how to use a spray can to paint a panel. I will show you the technique I use to achieve a smooth and even coat of paint, highlighting the advantages and challenges of working with a spray can for painting projects.
    Next, I switch gears and showcase the process of using a spray gun to paint a panel. I will walk you through the setup and application of paint with a spray gun, focusing on the quality and efficiency of this method compared to a spray can.
    Throughout the video, I will provide tips and insights based on my experience with both techniques, helping you decide which method may be best suited for your projects. Whether you are a beginner or experienced painter, this comparison will give you a deeper understanding of the differences between these two methods.
    Join me on this painting journey as we explore the world of spray painting and uncover the nuances of using a spray can versus a spray gun. Great content - really glad to see you NOT using 2K with hardener option as most of us DIY don’t have the safety equipment or booths to spray it, plus it’s very risky regardless. Great camera presence too! Love it

      Hardly risky if done correctly, he didnt spray it in a booth and only had a standard respirator. Notice you didnt comment on those issues, are you a 1k sales rep?

    The spray gun is super impressive in that it places less strain on the hands, is faster & straight off the gun was glossy without the time spent buffing/polishing. 👍🇦🇺👍

    To be fair on the people who guessed which was the gun panel, you didn't tell them you had only cut and buffed the spray can panel (or did you of camera)

    great video!
    Question, if budget is an issue, what's would you recommend?
    (a) Painting with a small compressor and a cheap gun (e.g. 6 gallon vevor & R500 LVLP spray gun),
    (b) Painting with a mid-range turbine system (e.g. HVLP spray systems- AVANTI 3 Stage HVLP Paint Sprayer or Fuji Spray 2203G Semi-PRO 2 - Gravity HVLP Spray System)
    (c) Painting with spray cans

    • @customspraymods
      @customspraymods  Місяць тому +1

      I'd say A would be a great option. You can always find a dead compressor and link it up to use the tank for a longer spray cycle.

    I never had the money for, or access to the equipment and materials to properly spray paint until recently. So most of my life I've done everything with a spray can. I've gotten good results because I've had a lot of practice. They make handles to snap on the cans to make it less tiresome and painful to do a lot of painting. But it's still nowhere near as easy as using a spray gun. You can get good or bad results with either. It just depends on how you prep things and how much practice you've had with your technique

    Dave my dude, your audio is split. Talking only in left channel headphone and music in both.
    Just thought I would let you know for next video ;)
    Great video by the way I had always wondered how much difference there was between the two methods. Although I suppose a lot comes down to how skilled and how well you can prep 😅

    12:55h are you spraying in the direction of this heat panel things? And I'm always worried I'll blow myself up when using an industrial fan to blow the paint fumes out of the garage because it's not intended for the use in explosive environments. 😅

    • @customspraymods
      @customspraymods  Місяць тому

      Hey yeah I am but it's turned off. Also the booth is sucking behind me as to minimise dust on the job. So not much over spray goes on the heater. 👍👍

    • @customspraymods
      @customspraymods  28 днів тому

      Hey it possibly to save a bit of paint and minimise over spray. Reversing would be to get even coverage on edges. 👍
