Wow! Most recipes call for store bought cream cheese which is not readily available and also very pricy but these ingredients are always at home and comes together very well. Cant wait to try this
Your frosting recipe is very nice , I don’t use this much sugar in my cooking , could I make my cashew cream to begin with less runny than add powdered sugar ? I think it would use less sugar I could add some milk if it gets too thick . Thank you .
I haven't tried it, so I can't say for sure, but you may be able to reduce some of the sugar this way. I think it will still require a lot to hold together, but if you try it let me know how it turns out!
This was exactly perfectly what I was looking for for my cinnamon rolls, pimpkin spice muffins, and carrot cake. Absolutely beautiful frosting on the cake! I added a little extra lemon, and it was so delightfully tangy and sweet. This one is going in the recipe book! ❤ I used the remaining cashew cream to make ranch salad dressing to have a nice healthy salad somewhere in between all these treats. 😅 P.s. your decorating is heaps better than mine! Lol... at least it taste amazing right!? 😊
Hey, I needed to consult...is it sure that if i add more powdered sugar the frosting gets thicker? I feel mine gets sweeter but stays runny...also, I'm allergic to lemon, is it replacable?
Hi! Yes, in my experience with this recipe the powdered sugar will thicken it. There are some situations where it doesn't work, like for example in a tofu cannoli filling, the powdered sugar won't thicken it. Did you try the recipe yet and it's not working, or is this from another recipe? For the lemon replacement, can you try lime juice? If not, then maybe orange juice would work? I wouldn't use vinegar here because I think it's too strong. Hope that helps ☺️
Yes it definitely seems like a lot of powdered sugar, but it's a normal ratio for frosting. I'd say this one is a little less sweet than most frostings because it's balanced out by the slight tart taste. As long as frosting in general isn't too sweet for you, this should be fine! 😊
Hi! The powdered sugar is a pretty big part of the recipe and I am not aware of anything that would make a good substitute, unfortunately. If it's because you can't find powdered sugar, you can use regular sugar and blend it in a blender until it's powdered. However not all blenders are made to blend dry ingredients so check your blender's instructions before you try that. 😊
Hi! Sorry I missed your comment. If you haven't tried it yourself yet, it's pretty stable. I made it several times while living in Miami and had no problems. However vegan butter can vary depending on whether it's made with coconut oil (melts at warm room temperature) or palm oil (melts at a much higher temperature). So if you're above 75 degrees then a palm oil vegan butter would make the frosting more stable.
It's a vegan seasoning that has a cheesy flavor. If you're in the US, you can find it in a Trader Joe's or Whole Foods in the baking or seasoning section. You can also get it online from a place like Amazon. If you click through to the recipe on my website (link in the description) there should be a link in the ingredients list to get it on Amazon. Hope that helps!

Thank you so much for this recipe! I'll try it out this week :)

Can I ask if this doesn't end up being way too sweet with all the powder sugar? Or it tastes fine? Thank you!

Great video! Thank you for sharing ❤️
If you do not have a big machine, can I make it a regular mixer
Hi! Do you mean an electric hand mixer? I think that should work just as well ☺️
Can I substitute the powdered sugar with anything?

Why add nutritional yeast
Hi! Nutritional yeast has a cheesy savory flavor, giving it the cream cheese taste.
@@StephSunshinewhat is nutritional yeast? Is it the same as Instant yeast or is it pudding mix?
