It sounds amazing Bro. I would totally purchase me one given the chance. It would add different sound to my drum set make it sound better I think. But that's just me I'm Lar's bias 😁
This is a first Gen model. I got it way cheaper than any of my Artwoods. Still, it is a large slab of steel which has has a lot of engineering put into it with the welded seam, the milled plating for the lugs and the bearing edges. They are a lot of money but you wouldn’t get much change from buying a blank slab of durbar and making one diy - I think it is all relative. I can confirm that it is no where near as good as the bell brass model IMO.
and yet, people are paying $5000+ for bell brass snares lol. I'm a proud owner of both a bell brass and this first gen Lars snare and they go hand in hand in terms of sound. the steel snare packed the punch of the bell brass, but is a little more wild. they are both very equal when you get em side by side or in a mix. cheapest bell brass like snare on the market!
Right on sounds killer!

To me there is nothing that justifies the exaggerated sale price. With this snare you just pay the sale commission for Lars.
